Dulce/Lust —> Invidia
The Ninth could tell his little girl-- and wasn't that strange to think, as she seemed to be older than Dulce and really, they'd just met-- was struggling, and he fell silent to let her work through her thoughts.
Eventually, however, she started speaking again, and though he didn't let it appear, dozens upon dozens of emotions were cycling through him, darkening his bright lavender eyes to a simmering dark orchid. He waited until she had spoken her piece and took a handful of moments after that to collect his own thoughts.
"There was truly nothing I could have done, darling." He murmured, his joking manner completely disappearing and replaced with an abnormally serious one. "I was going to be killed. I had an ace up my sleeve and used it, performing a ritual that would ensure I would be reincarnated." Here, he nodded over to Dulce, who had begun babbling to Micah and their daughter about all of the wonderful things they'd do together, all while the First watched on with amused hawk eyes.
"You look to be about a year older than Dulce, so that would make you 18, yes? You were about a year old when all of this happened, then. If I had known..." He trailed off, frowning deeply into the distance as he tried stifling the low growl that threatened to escape; he knew he wasn't very successful, but didn't want to frighten off his daughter.
You have one night, one night, with a human woman and of course she's the one that bears your child. Had his daughter been born to any one of the many demon women he'd bedded, this would've been solved much quicker. But, there was nothing to be done about it now aside from keep moving forward.
Despite what many may think, children were precious to the Sin of Lust. That particular Sin rarely, if ever, bothered with procreation. It was an ability that seemed to elude them, or they'd have children left, right, and center. As a result, the lack thereof always seemed to endear children to them.
"No, I am not happy with that! If I could go back and change things, I wouldn't hesitate! But what would you have me do, daughter mine? I have spent the last 17 years locked away in Dulce's mind until he was old enough to handle an influx of power that would serve as his powers inheritance." He scowled this time upon remembering helping Dulce's mind heal from the trauma of the last four years. It... hadn't been pretty, that was for sure.
"But I am here now. Here, of all places, we finally meet. I am willing-- no, eager— to be a part of your life. To get to know you and maybe... maybe be your father. I will not be going anywhere for the time being." He wondered if could ask Dulce for control of his body in order to search for his daughter once all of this weird dream shit was over.
His words were genuinely sincere, and he had turned to stare down at his daughter, trying to convey such sincerity. "It is your call, dear daughter. If you do not wish to be near me any longer, I will honor that and will not seek you out." He didn't promise that he wouldn't look out for her, though, from afar. "However, with your permission, I will stay with you, as it should have been all along."
