Name: Dreyma
Age: Old to the point wtheire they don’t even know anymore.
Birthday: No idea…
Gender: Doesn’t have one, usually referred as “Them” though because of the name “She” is also ok.
Species: Dragon (More specifically: Dutch Angel Dragon)
Category: Citizen
Career: Guardian of those they get attached to, unemployed besides that.

Species Info: Dutch Angel Dragon (MUST READ IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT A DUTCH ANGEL DRAGON IS)

Also called DADs, DutchADs or dutchies, a dutch angel dragon is defined by two main factors:
  • ~Their physical appearance: Horse-like anatomy, feathered wings, no genitalia or digestive, long ears, and fur coats
  • ~Their lore: They are supernatural beings that act as guardian angels.

The dutchie lore has 4 different realms or dimensions, these being:
  • ~"Paradise”, a variation of what we know as “Heaven”.
  • ~"Aether", where supernatural beings reside and the place where dutchies usually reside.
  • ~"Terra", the physical world. A variation of “Earth”.
  • ~"Abyss", a variation of what we know as “Hell”.

Also called DADs, DutchADs or dutchies, a dutch angel dragon is defined by two main factors:
  • ~Their physical appearance: Horse-like anatomy, feathered wings, no genitalia or digestive tract (in fact they also do not have a respiratory system and lack other major organs), long ears, and fur coats
  • ~Their lore: They are supernatural beings similar to poltergeists or ghosts. They walk among us, often invisible, as guardian angels. These dragons live on a higher dimensional plane of existence and manipulate energy in various ways to grant them physical capabilities such as flight or elemental powers and can use energy to allow themselves to interface with people and objects.
The “Dutch” part on their name tends to be really misleading, as they aren’t related to the Dutch language nor people in any way. “Dutch” was the name of the horse that Ino, the creator and owner of the species, had and sparked the creation of this specific kind of dragon (If you wish to know more about Dutch’s story, please click here).

These species didn’t became what they are today in only a couple days, there being a whole timeline involved from the first idea of the species, the creation of first and original dutchie, whose names id Telephone, the opening of the species to the public as a regulated species and the current community (Click here to get more detailed info regarding the timeline).

It must be noted that any and all dutchies are strictly regulated by a series of guidelines that can be found HERE, any character claiming to be a dutchie but that breaks these guidelines may be considered an Angel Dragon, but will never fit in the Dutch Angel Dragon species.

The dutchie lore has 4 different realms or dimensions, these being:
  • "Paradise", the highest level realm within those the dutchies use to live in, a variation of what we know as “Heaven”. A place where existence is positive, harmonious, and eternal where souls can be at peace. A collection of ancient entities overseas this realm to ensure balance is maintained, weaving chaos into order within these 4 dimensions. Most dutchies are no longer allowed into this realm, and even if they can hop between dimensions they can’t reach it.
  • "Aether", the mythical realm interwoven with the physical word but exists on a higher dimensional plane. A place where supernatural beings reside. This is the place where dutchies usually reside and where they recover or restore their energies if they ever need to. This dimension allows them to see things in Terra, but while they can see this dimension, none in Terra can see anything that is located in the Aether.
  • "Terra", the physical world. A place primarily occupied by humans and similar non-supernatural lifeforms. This is another version of the dimension where the SA universe is located.
  • "Abyss", the realm of negative energy that is the complement to Paradise, a variation of what we know as “Hell”. A place where souls who remain distraught and tormented reside, always in conflict; it is the opposite of peace. An ancient presence overseas this realm, fulfilling the role of balancing the universe by weaving order into chaos to continue the cycle of life in the 4 mentioned realms.

Appearance Description:
  • ~They has a height of 5’8” from tip of the ear to toe (When standing on their hind legs) and a weight of around 100 lbs. They’re definitely not the biggest dragon around.
  • ~While they can walk like any quadruped animal, they prefer to walk on their hind legs like a human, and has grown used to it quite well.
  • ~Their overall anatomy is really similar to that of a horse, with digiuligrade back legs even if their front legs lack the secondary wrist joint every horse has. Their teeth layout and muzzle shape also resemble that of a horse.
  • ~Their ears are fairly long and fluffy with a lynx-like tuft on the end of each one. The fur inside the ears is of a pastel green color while the tips have a pastel blue marking that goes down to their neck.
  • ~They have somewhat small feathered wings.
  • ~Their whole body is covered in a medium-length fur coat that is extremely fluffy and soft, making them a perfect cuddle companion and many times had made them get compared to an oversized plush toy.
  • ~Their fur is spotless white with some pastel blue wavy markings and spots and a ring outlining the belly on pastel green. They also have pastel blue “socks” and “gloves”.
  • ~Their eyes are white, lacking both visible iris and pupil, however they’re not blind and can actually see perfectly well even in the darkest nights.
  • ~They have two wavy silver horns on their head as well as smaller silver wavy spikes on the back of their cheeks and over their eyes.
  • ~Their tongue is forked like that of a reptile and has a pastel blue color, just like the rest of their mouth.
  • ~They have a line of pastel green feathers going from the top of their head all the way down to their tail.
  • ~Their tail has white fan-like feathers on its tip. They have alternating pastel blue and pastel green cracked lines.
  • ~Their tail can be surprisingly flexible laterally, allowing them to sway it back and forth freely and even grasp things with it.
  • ~The feathers on their wings have cracked pastel blue lines or pastel green lines.
  • ~All their paw-pads are pastel green.
  • ~The skin underneath the fur also has the markings, so even if shaved those would be completely visible.
  • ~Their sebum, or oil, has great antimicrobial properties besides keeping their skin moist, also it kinda smells like lavender and jasmines.
  • ~While their hind paws are not exactly prehensile, their front paws indeed are, allowing them to grab things without any kind of trouble.
  • ~They lack a digestive tract, reproductive system and even most standard organs such as heart and lungs. The only organs they possess are a throat pouch and a huge bottomless stomach that can break apart anything and everything into pure energy. Since there is no waste coming from the stomach, there is nothing that goes after that (Intestines, colon, anus, kidneys…anything). This also means that they’re genderless.
  • ~Interestingly enough, they do give off bod heat and feel the temperature around them.

Personality Description:

  • ~Curious: To the point of causing their troubles, they’re extremely curious about the world surrounding their and will stop at literally nothing to find out how things work. This also means that you should be ready for a mess or repair/reassemble any device they may grab.
  • ~Out-Of-Date: Give them any fruit, they recognize it. Give them a chair and they don’t know what in the world they’re supposed to do with the darn thing. Like if they had poofed since the man became a sedentary being, they lack knowledge of the world that surrounds them, and the more advanced the technology is the less they understand it. They can even understand magic better than they understand a toaster.
  • ~Determined: They apparently doesn’t knows about something that is called “giving up”, and because of this they won’t drop a goal once their mind is set on it regardless of how hard it may be or the obstacles on their way.
  • ~Guardian: Created to be guardians, they have this innate instinct and desire to have someone or something to protect even with their own lives. While true that they want this, they are also quite picky. However, once they start to bond with someone the bond is forever and they will be always there for them. If such bond is severed, the pain they would feel would be impossible to describe and they would grief for a long time.
  • ~Friendly: They are incredible friendly and would go out of their way to make friends and support them. However, if rejected during the first advances they know to retreat and leave the other being alone…at least for a while.
  • ~Kiddos!!!: For some reason Dreyma has an especial soft spot for kids and will always be there trying to make them smile, laugh or just to cuddle and play with them whenever the chance arises. Even if the creature simply looks like a child and isn’t really one, they’ll get the same treatment from them.
  • ~Innocent: They simply doesn’t gets what “dirty talk” or sex itself is given the lack of need for such thing of their species. This can easily lead to uncomfortable and/or hilarious situations with them, they could literally walk into a bedroom during that kind of situations and jump on them thinking it’s all a game or a fun wrestling bed match of some short. Don’t try to explain things to them though…I can guarantee to you that they won’t understand a thing.
  • ~Playful: For them, most of the life is a game and constantly sees things as such. This can either be great, like leading them to accidentally cheer up a tense situation, to actually be extremely annoying when someone is trying to be serious with them.
  • ~Loyal: Loyal to the end, they will always be there for those that they consider friends or those they bond with.
  • ~Love: While they may not understand sex, they do understand love and can come to become the closest thing their species can be to a mate if they ever find the right companion.
  • ~Careless: They have kind of a hard time to identify dangerous situations, which can lead them to be extremely careless and even rely on other creatures to stop them to get in potential trouble.
  • ~Self-less: Their first worry is and will always be those around them, to the point of risking their lives for someone they met five minutes ago if needed or give up their own commodities for those they think need them more than themselves.
  • ~Regretful: At times you may see them touching their muzzle and tears form on their eyes right after. This is because they are reminding times of old, when they did things they are definitely not proud of and still regret to this day.
  • ~Prankster: They love to play some harmless pranks on those around them just to laugh and, hopefully, make the ones around laugh as well to cheer up their monotonous days.
  • ~Hoarder: Like any dragon, Dreyma has a tendency to hoard things. What do they hoard, you may ask? Well….they love to hoard plush toys! It’s a way better place to lay on that a pile of hard gold or gems, and definitely way cuter. They aren’t super-clingy to their hoard though, and are always willing to give away a plush or two to the kids they may come across.
  • ~Wary of creatures “of the darkness”: Demons, cursed creatures, even menacing black beings, they all remind them of the Abyss, a place they learned to fear. Consequently they tend to be especially cautious around them. Luckily enough this clashes a bit with their friendly and careless nature, what sometimes causes them to interact with them if they don’t look scary enough.
  • ~Unable to speak: Like most of the members of their species, they don’t have a language system and consequently can’t communicate through speech. Dragons of this species instead pick a favorite sound or sounds and use those along with body language to communicate. Talking about Dreyma, they chose the beautiful chirping of the birds and the sounds produced by the cats as their way to communicate. Even if the mix can be slightly awkward at time, it also has successfully added to their cute factor.

Species Abilities:

Immortality: This specific species of dragons can’t really die and if “killed” by any means they are just sent back to Aether for a while until they can recover and gather enough energy to come back. It must be noted that usually it takes them at least a full week for them to come back and almost a full month for them to return to how they were and gather the energy needed to come back to our world.

Rebirth: If a dragon of this species wishes to do so, they can “die” in the same way of a phoenix, leaving an egg behind from where they’ll be reborn. In this process they can chose to change their physical appearance to whatever they may like (obviously staying within the guidelines of a Dutch Angel Dragon), though they keep their personality and memories. It still takes them as long to return after this process as if they were killed by other means.

New Life: Given their lack of reproductive system, they can’t reproduce like any other creature. However, if two dragons of this species go through the “Rebirth” process together their souls will merge into one for a couple seconds before splitting apart, leaving behind a whole new soul that will become a new egg and a new hatchling. These hatchlings are born without any kind of memory or knowledge, just like a regular baby, and a mix of the markings and colors of the parents. If the newborn wants to change their appearance they will need to wait a hundred years for them to be able to use the rebirth ability.

Energy Gathering: The arguably most basic and important ability of any dragon of their species, as nearly all their powers depend on this. They gather energy from their surroundings or get it through eating anything they can find. Imagine them as a walking battery, where everything they do can either use up or recharge energy. Unluckily it takes way longer for them to recharge their energy than use it up, and just like any “battery”, they have a max amount of energy they can store. They lose it all if killed or decide to go through the rebirth process as well.

Levitation: Though the use of the energy around them, this species of dragons can actually "fly", thing that really comes in handy as their anatomy doesn’t really aids them to fly all that well. This even helps them to defy the laws of physics and hover like a ghost if they wish. They must be really careful while doing so, as this tends to drain their energy rather quickly, they can only levitate for up to 3 hours before being forced back to Aether and rest for a full week before returning.

Self-Healing: They tend to heal way faster than any creature and are nearly immune to most illnesses. However, if they lose a limb they can’t regrow it unless they go through the process of rebirth. Anything minor like small cuts can heal within seconds, however, something like a broken bone can take up to a full week to heal, if not more. If in an illness they'll return to the Aether and rest until the illness is gone before being able to return. Ths can be just a couple days like a simple cold, to a whole month if the illness is serious enough. If they somehow get a mortal illness, however, they won't be able to heal and will need to go through the whole process of rebirth to heal...this specific rebirth tends to hurt badly though. While healing they are constantly hungry and absorbing energy from everywhere they can, it drains them out rather quickly (If they don't do anything to recover energy they can run out completely in up to three days when in regular conditions dong exactly that takes them 3 full weeks at least).

Possession: Only able to be done through extremely short amounts of times and taking away their energy way too quickly, this allows them to interact with objects in other dimensions without leaving Aether, it is literally like being there but being invisible and impossible to touch unless they touch you first. The time they need to rest after using this ability is directly proportional to the time they used it, regardless of the way (a couple seconds can take him a day or two to recover. They have a maximum time of 30 minutes, which gives them the need to rest for a whole month).

Powers:

The Dragon’s Soul: All Dutch Angel Dragons have the ability to harness the energy around them, granting them some very specific abilities that correspond to how their souls resonate with such energy in three specific ways:
  • ~Ability: An ability that is born from their soul. Dreyma has the ability known as “Dimension Hopper”, which allows them to harness the energy around them and hop between any dimensions almost frely, as between each dimension hop they need to wait at least a full day before perfoming another one again (If their energy runs out during this cooldown time or is killed, they are sent back to the Aether and need to wait twice as long as usual to return). The amount of energy required varies depending on what dimension they want to hop to and the dimension they’re currently in. As an example, to hop from Aether to the dimension where Starlight Academy is located is quite easy, just as hoping back. However, while hoping into the dimension of Abyss is the easiest hop regardless of the dimension, hopping out of there is extremely hard and more than one of their species has been doomed to be stuck there forever because of this. It would also be worth noting that if they’re in any dimension that isn’t Aether, they need to eat in a somewhat regular basis and/or absorb energy from around them to be able to stay in said dimension, as if they run out they’re forced back to Aether (Abyss is a dimension that tries its best to never let out those that go in it unless they give in to it, thing that Dreyma would never want to do, so that’s an exception). The only places they can’t travel to, regardless of how hard they had tried, is Paradise nor any other “Heaven” variation.
  • ~Breath: Thanks to their nature, in this section their soul resonates with the breath of life and healing. While unable to bring back anyone from the dead, they are able to grant health to those around them and even revive smaller things like withered flowers or dead crops and even help them grow stronger and more beautiful, fruit and veggies that grow with this kind of help are especially tasty as well, they rarely use their energy on this though, as it is way too precious and they don’t want to run out too fast. They are also able to heal injuries and illnesses, but it takes a great toll on their energies (At least three times what it takes them to heal themselves), and if they run out they’re forced back into Aether until they can recover and gather enough energy to come back, thing that can easily take a full week or more. This doesn’t guarantees them healing those they were treating though, as they can run out of energy before the process is done and take too long to return because of that. While doing this they need full focus on the person and their own body become vulnerable as they are directing all their life energy towards the one they're healing, hindering their own health and defenses. It isn't unnusual for them to fall ill after healing someone if they need to focus for longer than 5 minutes.
  • ~Element: While usually souls can resonate with various elements, theirs only resonates with one. The rare element of the Spirit. This elements is really mysterious and it causes the effects to vary greatly from dragon to dragon, even to develop into different effects within the lifespan of the individual. In Dreyma’s case it helps them to feel the emotions of the people around them at all times as long as they are at least within a 5 ft distance from them, as well to influence or even take full control of their emotions and feelings through it by using the energy they gather from around them (It must be mentioned that if anyone is within this range they'll constantly feel their emotions, as she is unnable to pick a certain someone or block this ability, this usually causes her to be extremely confused or even panic in crowds). This can easily be used with evil intentions, as you could easily manipulate creatures to feel a certain way to do whatever you want them to…however, Dreyma is not like that and they only use this ability with the intentions to help those around them to relax, cheer them up, or even to have an easier way to go through any painful experience.
Soul Contrary: While not exactly a power, since its tightly linked to their powers and may be unique to them as it is caused thanks to the energies their soul resonate with, it probably goes here:
  • ~Dimension lock: There are several symbols and spells that can be used to prevent them from hopping between dimensions. This usually causes their soul to enter into a state of confusion that can lock their powers completely and paralyze them until they figure out what’s going on. If they try to force their escape they will cause what is known as a soul-tear, which instantly kills them and send them to Aether to go through the process of rebirth…or if unlucky they will end up going through that same process in Abyss instead, what not only risk them to get stuck in that dimension, but makes them extremely susceptible to get corrupted and become another Abyss dweller.
  • ~Death/Decay: Any spells or curses related with these are extremely effective on them given their resonance with life and healing. Any spell that hits them or curse directed to them using these will cause them excruciating pain or even kill them within seconds.
  • ~Lack of balance: The element of spirit symbolizes balance, it’s what keeps the elements of fire, air, water and earth on their constant state of balance when put together. This means that if through any meaning someone managed to break this balance within them through magic they will immediately lose the ability to use this, they will be extremely confused and will enter in a blind state of panic in which they can only think of recovering this balance and can’t distinguish between friend an enemy. They can reach a point where they force them to go through the process of rebirth out of this panic and confusion.

Biography:

A long time ago, so long not even Dreyma can tell by now, their egg hatched for the very first time. They still can remember clearly that moment, as well as the first time they saw their reflection on the clear waters of a nearby puddle…a reflection that had a beautiful pastel blue ring around their muzzle. The ring that was the mark of their species as loyal creatures of paradise and the duties they had to uphold. Back then Abyss didn’t exist and they grew happy in Paradise alongside many others of their species. Since their young age they were recognized by being a kind and great guardian, though their innocence and tendency to see everything as a game prevented them from getting to honor of becoming the guardian and caretaker of the ancient ones, the almighty beings that created them all the other Dutch Angel Dragons.

They didn’t really mind and instead kept protecting the lesser beings that they came across in the other dimensions, but as always her main loyalty stood with those ancient ones that were above all the dutchies. Life was smooth for her and the rest of her species, reason behind why Dreyma would’ve never been able to see what was going to happen next.

As time passed, different ways to see the world surrounding them sparkled between some of the ancients. On the beings that once were the embodiment of all good, they started to talk about how there could be no happiness without sadness, light without darkness, good without evil. These arguments only became worse with each passing day and the angel dragons felt the effects of these opposing forces the strongest. It didn’t took long before a war finally broke out as these ideals clashed.

Much like a pack of wolves, the angel dragons followed those they felt the greatest loyalty towards, their attachment and fondness for them leading them astray even if they were good by nature. Dreyma was not the exception.

At first hesitant, all doubts were casted away when they witnessed those they once loved attacked the first time, launching themselves into the battlefield alongside their companions and willing to fighting to the death, though unlike most of their companions, however, they stood on the back of the lines as a last defense, not wanting to be the ones that hit first and only fighting if needed.

The battle went on for a long, long time, until the clashing forces finally ripped apart the dimension they were in and out from the chaos, the darkness, the evil, all the negative energies created by this conflict, Abyss was created. With that, the balance was found once again and those who started the conflict were casted there as punishment for their actions. Dreyma and many others found themselves in Abyss once it was created. At first they didn’t know what was going on…until black markings started to appear on the pelts of many of them as they turned wicked, evil, aggressive.

Finally understanding the awful place they were in, they tried to flee immediately, a task not easy in the slightest. The first great obstacle was to turn their back to those they fought for during the whole conflict, but now, for the first time, they noticed something that shattered their heart. Without the constant conflict distracting them, nor having to constantly prepare themselves for any upcoming attack, the blindfold produced by their loyalty and attachment to them fell off and they could see the wicked creature they had turned into.

They were no longer the creature of good they had learned to love.

The separation was extremely painful for them, having to accept that those who one day they had been so loyal to with was gone and replaced with a creature of chaos and darkness. They didn’t even got enough time to grief their loss as they found themselves running away from the ones that not long ago had been their companions and now were dark aggressive creatures feeding on negative forces and pain, as well as trying to find their way out while fighting to not give in to Abyss, to not let its influence corrupt their mind and place black markings on their fur because of it. The fight was long, and more than once they almost lost fate, but in the end they managed to get out alongside many of their companions, into Aether.

However, when they tried to reach their home the entrance was negated to them by the ancient ones in there. They were no longer the loyal creatures they once were, they had betrayed their purpose. And because of that, their responsibility was revoked from them. Dreyma could only watch in horror with the rest of their fellow angel dragons as the ring around their muzzle snapped and vanished as proof of their betrayal. Many entered in panic and went through the rebirth process many, many times, even Dreyma tried it a couple times themselves…but regardless of how much they tried they couldn’t reform the ring on their muzzle. It was gone.

In a mix of grief, confusion and regret, Dreyma got stuck in the Aether dimension for a long time, not able to move on until their interactions with some other angel dragons helped them to get over their grief and return to how they used to be before the whole conflict sparked up…even if at times they can’t help but hold their muzzle and cry as they remember the times of old and regret once more floods them.

It was also around this time they grew interested in humans, and after watching another angel dragon take a bipedal form to imitate them, they quickly did the same.

The reason they chose Starlight Academy is because for some reason the dimensional hopping in this area is way easier and being around doesn’t drains energy as quickly as other places. They aren’t sure why, but they love to be able to be around for long enough to actually live as part of their population through regular eating and absorbing energy around them than having to hop back and forth constantly between dimensions….or at least not as often.

Additional Information: Given their ability to hop between dimensions and how out of date and innocent they are, they may “appear out of thin air” in places they shouldn’t be, at the wrong time or a mix of both without really realizing it, so this means they can even interrupt classes in the academy, cause an accidental awkward moment and a lot of stuff like it (This would obviously only happen through either plotting or with consent of all the involved peeps).
