Appearance Description:

Cabel is average height with dusky skin--the kind of tan people with fair skin get right before they burn. His fingertips are calloused to the point that his fingerprints are almost nonexistent. His hair is a murky color that could be dirty blond or light brown depending on the lighting. He has brown eyes.

Caleb almost always wears his uniform, but outside of class, his style is flashy and obscene. Cabel favors neon shirts, patterns, and bright prints. He has a collection of t-shirts with ironic sayings on them and pairs these with jeans, white sneakers, and a neutral hoodie or cardigan.

Cabel has a body type that could be described as healthy but not exactly fit. Cabel participated in a variety of sports, staying with each for a period of one to four months, before he'd give them up. They were all attempts to please his counselors who frequently suggested he might benefit from structured activities.

Cabel has no specific physical strengths, but he's not a complete weakling, either. He's still likely to go collect a debt owed to him, but if it comes to a physical debt, Cabel almost always brings back up.


Personality Description:

Cabel will be anyone you want him to be, and that's what makes him dangerous. In an academic setting, Cabel is a good student,and teachers often say that Caleb is the first to help his classmates.

Those who know Caleb well know that the students he helps often owe him favors.

If you need something, Cabel can deliver. Tired? Here's a sleeping pill. Bored? Let's get high. Horny? Caleb has something for that, too.

It's easy to describe Cabel as helpful, but you'll never know when Cabel is going to call in the favors he's owed. Failure to deliver results in a forced collection of debt, and you never know what he's going to ask for.

Despite this, Cabel doesn't really consider himself a bad guy. He just makes due with what he has. Easily bored and under motivated, Cabel would be more successful if he just applied himself, but why do all that work when there's someone else stupid enough to do it for you?



Powers:

Alchemy-- Cabel is an alchemist, able to transform mundane objects into others by rearranging their chemical properties. Unfortunately, Cabel's power requires a great deal of concentration, patience, and trial and error.

Simple transmutations are easier and require less components. For example, turning water into wine doesn't require a lot of energy, but turning rocks into gold can require weeks, if not months, of intense practice.

Naturally, Caleb uses this to make drugs.

Dowsing: Cabel has a unique ability to find whatever it is a client is looking for.

This isn't really an active power; it's not even something Cabel is aware he has. It's more of an uncanny knack. Some people seem supernaturally lucky; Cabel is supernaturally gifted at finding things. Missing glasses, a rare book, a specific brand of shampoo that was discontinued in the 1950's--things like this are Cabel's specialty.

However, there are limits. The object Cabel is looking for has to exist. Cabel can not know the location an object the person is looking for will be. He cannot control where it shows up.

This gives Cabel the unique ability to never have to clean his room.



Biography:

• Born in Michigan, USA to Stach and Carol Sokot. Has a little sister that he adores.
• Expelled from his first school at the age of 9 for starting a fire in the boys bathroom.
• Expelled from his second school at the age of 13 for breaking another boy's nose.
• Expelled from 4 schools in a single year when he's 15 for various minor offenses.
• Sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Philadelphia by a distraught pair of parents.
• Began selling pills he stole from his aunt, who worked in a pharmacy.
• Started making his own pills by 16.
• Graduated high school and enrolled in a community college.
• After several students overdosed on an unknown substance, Cabel received a letter inviting him to Manta Carlos. Someone recognized the magic that went into it. The boy who survived claimed it was the best high he'd ever had--he was able to astroproject, and reported events he couldn't have possibly known while he was in the hospital.
• Came to Manta Carlos Islands to study marketing at Starlight Academy.
