Name: Emmeline C. Favreau
Age: "And you want to know how hold I am... why?" 23
Birthday: 4 February
Gender: "Hey, eyes up here." Female
Category: Student, pursuing Law and Criminal Justice
Class: College, graduate school
Appearance Description:
Personality Description: While being both kind and gentle, Emmeline is a very righteous person and has a strong sense of justice--a bit too strong of a sense. Her stubbornness to see things through to a fair end often lands her in trouble, whether it be facing a group of bullies because she stood up for the victim or being considered a vigilante by those who thinks she's a bit too over-the-top. She'll stand her ground, however, and while she understands a reasonable agreement can't always be reached, she doesn't have to like it. That being said, she normally tries the peaceful, diplomatic way before breaking out the big guns. If that doesn't work, well... good luck.
Despite her righteousness, Emmeline can be a stereotypical girl when she isn't worked up over the injustice of things or studying. She likes cute things, cries during sad chick flicks, likes doing her nails and going shopping when she has the time, and is especially bitchy during that time of the month. And even still, she can be a tad bit forceful with her mannerisms, but she genuinely does wish to help others and society.

Biography: Emmeline was found on the front step of the Favreau family's modest two family house one snowy February night. It was a miracle that the child was still alive and conscious, having been left out in the cold for who knows how long. The next few days flew by quickly, and as the couple coaxed back the baby's health, they grew attached to the willful baby girl. They had planned to call child services to report the abandoned baby, but what had started as a call for an investigation ended up being an inquiry about adoption. They already had the skill and patience to rear a child, having two older boys who had long since flown from the nest, as it were, and made families of their own, and they were well off enough that they could still live in comfort. They were good people, and so became the adopted parents of the girl soon after.
And so, the unnamed baby girl became Emmeline Cordelia Favreau. She lived a fairly normal life, went through school like every other child, though believed very strongly in fairness and justice. She wouldn't allow anything to just 'slide', as her parents sometimes tried to insist she do. Instead, she stood up for those being wronged, standing her ground and defending her beliefs. This always tended to get her into trouble; she'd come home bruised and battered from facing the local bullies, or get a call home from one of her teachers because she'd called someone out in front of the whole class. By the time Emmeline was 13, her parents decided to just accept it being a part of who their baby girl was. They didn't try to stop her anymore, but instead did their best to smooth over any troubles left behind by Emmeline's passion for justice. They did, of course, sit her down and talk about when and where to cross a line and when to just accept things as they were, but she already had a strong moral compass, so this wasn't too much of a problem.
Things changed just a little after Emmeline's 16th birthday. Her parents had decided she was old enough to understand that she wasn't there by birth, and that, for whatever reason, she had been abandoned on their doorstep. Yes, logically, Emmeline had known her mother had been too old to carry her to a successful and healthy pregnancy. Yes, she knew, deep down inside, that this would change nothing between her parents and her, as well as her brothers and their families and her. But still, it was a shock to her system and she'd run off, needing time to think. She had made it to the woods surrounding the town before stopping, plopping down on a boulder and staring at the sky and yet not seeing anything at the same time. On an impulse, maybe to help her feel something, anything, she'd stood, turned, and punched the boulder she had been sitting on. Instead of feeling the satisfying sting on her knuckles, however, the boulder seemed to shoot back several feet, a small crater indented into the surface where she'd punched it.
She'd never admit it aloud, but she had stood there for about five minutes, staring at the boulder with her jaw to the floor. Then, her instincts kicked and she started running. She knew what people were like, how they were predisposed to accusations and ridicule. She was freak and she'd be ostracized for it.
Two days she had managed to elude the search party her worried family and set up. Two days of hiding in the woods, starving and cold, studiously ignoring anything weird had ever happened. Two days until she realized she had no idea how to survive in the wilderness. She was in the middle of trying to figure out how to make her own fishing rod so she could catch dinner when her father had found her. She was quickly bundled into his arms, swaddled in the warmest blanket they had, while he returned to the meeting point to call the search off. Back in the safety of their home with her mother feeding her soup, she broke down and recounted what had happened. She was sure her parents loved her despite not being their by blood, but she feared their reactions to this... this strength.
Her worries, however legitimate, were swiftly laid to rest the next few days as many, if not all, of the members came to visit, lavishing her with attention and love. On the fourth day of this, strange letter was found in the mail. "To Whomever It May Concern..."
It was a whirlwind week, preparing for this Starlight Academy, and all too soon, she found the representative to the school knocking at the front door to escort her to the boat that would take her to Manta Carlos. After many tearful hugs and promises to write, Emmeline left her home. She arrived at Starlight as a High School junior, and through the two years of high school, made many friends, as well as enemies. Her penchant for seeking justice no matter the circumstances had many irritated with her, but many others gravitated towards her caring and fair nature. Once she entered college and discovered law and criminal justice, she knew that was her calling. She never let up on her physical training as well, and is often found on the sports fields, learning from her power teachers or practicing on her own.
Now focusing on higher education in Law and Criminal Justice, Emmeline's made a life for herself. She hangs out with her friends downtown or at the pier, adores going to the beach or taking a swim in the lake, still writes to her parents and family, and has made many friendly connections to the staff and students of Starlight Academy. She's gotten a job so she can have a little spending money in the bank.
The sole mystery that remains unsolved is where she came from. Who were her birth parents? Why did they leave her to be found by another couple or die from the frigid February weather? Why?
She's no closer to those answers than she had been arriving at the Academy nearly 7 years before.

Powers:
- Stronger power: Emmeline seems to have the inhuman strength any supernatural creature does while still remaining (supposedly) human.
- Weaker power: With enhanced accuracy-- though it's not always perfect--, Emmeline uses this to her advantage by specializing in throwing blades, particularly large swords easily hefted with the help of her enhanced strength.
- Strengths: Emmeline combines her stronger and weaker power to create her specialty, as it were-- she's notorious for long range attacks consisting of throwing swords, typically broad swords, with enough accuracy to effectively kill someone. She's also worked on throwing knives and even the odd throwing needle.
Instead of limiting herself to simply that, she's also in the midst of taking sword fighting lessons and hand-to-hand combat, both which have been one long lesson in reining in even tighter her control over her strength.
When she wants to-- and it takes quite a lot to get Emmeline riled up enough to want to kill and not simply incapacaitate--, she can be a very deadly person. And because there's also no outward reflection of her superhuman strength, Emmeline's often underestimated. This gives her the upper hand more times than not. Fortunately, the moral compass that keeps her sense of justice on course also stops her from ever using her powers with malicious intent. She'd kill to protect innocent people, yes, but she'd never kill for the fun of it.
- Weaknesses: While the approximate range for her skill is around 50 ft. away, this will vary depending on the type and weight of the blade she is throwing. Smaller knives may go far, while heavier swords might need shorter ranges to be effective. Her accuracy is also not 100% perfect all the time and she has had to practice the normal way to increase her skill above the level her minor power gave her.
When doing day-to-day activities, hand-to-hand combat and sword training, and generally just everything that doesn't need a high level of strength, Emmeline really has to control what strength she does put out. Luckily, she's been at the Academy long enough to have a good foundation of control, but there are still slip-ups several times a week. Despite her strength, there are indeed things too heavy for her to lift/carry/move. She's had no need to delve deeper into this, though, and feels secure in what she can do.
