Jewel can use elemental magic and is always trying to learn new kinds of magic with hopes to unlock new forms. However, even with her current forms is pretty obvious that she has a lot to learn, and even if she’s eager to amplify her knowledge as quickly as possible the best things that teachers can do is try to stop her and convince her to learn how to fully control the forms she already unlocked.
Her kind of magic isn’t verbal, nor linked to an object. She relies strongly on thoughts and focus instead, which can make her magic a bit hard to control, falling into quite an unstable branch. She needs to know exactly what she wants to do and be fully focused on it, as any kind of hesitation, change of thoughts or distraction can spoil the spell, produce undesired effects or even make it backfire. The spells also feed on her energy, and depending on how strong the spell itself is, the more energy will be needed for it to be casted, this gives all the spells a limited amount of uses and once all these “uses” run out she won’t be able to cast another spell at all until she recovers…if she doesn’t faints before thanks to lack of energy, of course. The most powerful the spell is the less uses t will have. Through training she may be able to use the same spells a couple more times than now, but not much.
At the moment she only knows how to use the most basic spells of her forms, which are fairly weak and in battle wouldn’t really cause any kind of real damage, making her lack of experience obvious. And even then she still has trouble to use them correctly since she can’t keep the necessary amount of focus on the thought that is required for them.

Jewel can change from her main form to any of the other ones at will, however to return to her original form she needs to stop any use of magic for more than 15 minutes (She can force the reversion, but it’s a lot harder and will be a huge drain of energy for her). You can say that this is a really rare kind of evolution that is temporary. If she returns to her main form she’ll enter into a cool-down state that won’t allow her to use any kind of magic for at least 10 minutes. She can’t change from elemental form to elemental form (Example: Main to Fire is ok. Fire to Main is ok too. Fire to Water isn’t possible)
Biography:
Jewel really can’t remember when she arrived to this world, or if she was like this all her life. The farthest thing she can remember is waking up from what she believes was a nap under a tree, near the border of the forbidden forest.
She was lucky enough to be in an island where her obviously unusual appearance was overlooked by most of the citizens. This allowed her to adapt fairly well to this place without any major problems.
It took her a good while and several strange dreams to unveil what she was and the powers behind her form, and even more to control them. During this time she usually could be found mainly around the woods, and her mainly feral behavior made it obvious that she has been wild all her life, even in that portion of her life that she had no memory of.
She started to interact with other creatures of the island, those who lived in the city, and this feral behavior started to quickly change as a more docile and friendly behavior took over. Her greatest challenge was to learn how to talk and behave like a human would do.
This difficulty, however, immediately attracted the attention of the school staff, it wasn’t really hard to guess that she never had gone to any school, and sooner than later they reacted to this enrolling her in the academy. Thanks to several intensive particular classes she managed to catch up with her own age group instead of having to start at elementary school with her current age.
