Name: Evante Ekaris
Age: “Mere numbers… hah!” 19
Birthday: “Are you planning on getting me a gift?” 2 April
Gender: “[enter monologue about the differences between human male and female]” Male
Category: Student
Class: College Freshman- Interests leaning towards anything to do with human anthropology

Appearance Description:
  • Eyes: A pale blue, argued by some to be either gray or silver
  • Hair: White with silver highlights in the right light, ending at the nape of his neck in the back and just below the bridge of his nose in the front, often appearing windswept or disheveled.
  • Height: 6'3''
  • Weight: 170 lbs
  • Clothing style: Nearly anything that is practical and comfortable, though is most often seen in a blue long-sleeved shirt, a sort of white breeches, and black boots that end just below his knees.
  • Distinguishing marks: Long, thin fingers that have been mislabeled as the fingers of an accomplished pianist several times and are better served for inventions of all kinds-- delicate, complex, simple, durable, etc.

Personality Description: Evante himself appears quite the enigma to his peers. Since his father is a Titan, his powers must be handled differently than they would had his father been a god. As such, many of his power lessons are given as one-on-one training sessions with the teachers. He still attends the classes, however, going through each day with a bright smile and unflappable wit. Since he has become accustomed to being surrounded by demigods, he has long since learned to bear any insults, glares, and occasional threat as if they were nothing but empty words-- though the situation has changed, these facets of his personality have not. He has a genuine love for the human race and the human half of his heritage, something inherited from his father, and can often be seen with at least one little trinket or gadget the humans managed to create with wondrous science and technology-- something they wouldn't have had it not been for Prometheus' fire.

And yet, underneath this carefully crafted mask is an emotionally stunted boy. Once surrounded by perpetual enemies, he has grown used to having no one to confide in, and has internalized all of his true emotions as a result. He had been shunned and scorned, looked upon with hate and loathing. Sometimes, he wondered if physical blows would be easier to bear than such torture. Nevertheless, he had come to the decision to plow forward, waiting eagerly for the times when his father will come and rescue him, if only for a few years at a time. He still hasn't truly acclimated himself to the more peaceful atmosphere of Starlight, and continues with his carefully crafted facade, a mix of his own mischievous compassion and a touch of near genuine arrogance that has been amplified a bit. One thing that will always remain constant, however, is his love for humanity and for inventing; he can often be found in the science labs or metal/wood shops, tinkering away at whatever has recently caught his eye.

Powers:
  • Stronger power: The ability to control and manipulate the element of fire, as ironic as it is.
  • Weaker power: The perks granted to a half-human, half-Titan son of Prometheus, meaning an extended lifespan (unknown exactly how long it is extended, as Evante may just be the only one of his kind), increased intuitiveness, and a few personality traits similar to that of the Tricksters.
  • Strengths: His natural affinity towards fire allows his metalsmithing skills to flourish, which ultimately aids in expressing the intellect and inventiveness he has inherited from his father. He is also essentially immortal, though it is very possible that he can be killed or that his life is merely extended as opposed to immortal.
  • Weaknesses: Any special powers that his Titan heritage has given him is severely weakened by his human blood, despite the fact that his human heritage accounts for only half of his being. His power over fire, while having the potential to be complete control, is often finicky, as it manifests and expresses itself in different ways compared to others who also have an elemental power over fire. This creates some problems concerning classes and how he learns, and it has become necessary for him to have one-on-one sessions outside of his scheduled power classes.

Biography: Prometheus. He who dared to give fire to humanity. A name near taboo among the gods. Seen as a traitor for his defiance yet equally acknowledged for his intelligence.

Most wouldn't expect Prometheus to have a son. The gods believe him to be safely locked up, forever suffering for his transgression. It would be only logical, however, that Prometheus would be the one to escape his prison not only once, but several times. The man was, after all, extremely intelligent and quite the trickster. And really, one didn't just hand over fire to the humans on a whim. If he was clever enough to outwit the gods once, he could-- and would-- do so many times over and still retain his sanity.

It was during one of these escapades that he decided to peek in on his humans, those he had sacrificed so much for. He was somewhat disappointed with the amount of corruption and generally terrible behavior, though his faith in humanity wasn't completely broken. No, he had met one human in particular that was an unusually curious specimen. He, of course, decided to watch this human, and eventually found himself falling for her balancing characteristics. Fragile yet rough. Delicate yet firm. Honest and just with a penchant for trouble and mischief. She was so enchanting to him that it wasn't difficult for him to make contact with her.

What started out as a tentative friendship soon blossomed into a heated romance. A few months after their first meeting, they found out she was with child, and just nine months later, were gifted with a baby boy. Prometheus himself was quite overjoyed, nearly breaking down into tears as he held the small infant. He loved humanity, and to be able to father a child of his own blood who would live amongst humans... it was a momentous occasion.

For several more years, Prometheus spent his time in the human world. His son, Evante, was understandably spoiled, but still taught the value of hard work and earning what you want. The boy seemed to be a mix of his parents' best facets; he was childishly adorable in his love of mischief, but intelligent enough to not act like a complete baby under the loving attention of his parents. He was compassionate, but never to the point of a gullible bleeding heart. He was brave and questioned authority, but knew when and where it was appropriate to cross lines, and when to leave things be.

On the eve of Evante's 8th birthday, however, the gods had finally noticed Prometheus had escaped yet again. His father was dragged back to his hellish pit, leaving his lover and their son to fend for themselves. Being the son of one of their most hated figures, Evante was given a hard time by any god-- and by extension, the demigods-- he crossed paths with. The gods, of course, feared what Evante would do, and sent him to an academy similar to Starlight, save for the fact that it specifically catered to the education of demigods. Without Prometheus there to alleviate the pressure such a reputation would bring, Evante forced himself to simply give up caring.

He disregarded their words though they struck home all too often, usually responding with an amusing remark or a clever trick. He molded a veneer of gentle arrogance and compassionate knowledge. This wasn't necessarily all that different from the real Evante, but in this state, nothing that was thrown at him managed to ruffle the calm, outgoing boy.

One day, he just showed up at Starlight Academy, invitation in hand. He had been considerably upset that the Academy hadn't contacted him earlier, before he was forced to attend the demigod academy, but the gods had recently gone too far, stooped too low; threats to his mother beginning to mix in with the those aimed to himself and his father. As he was and still is quite unwilling to have her used as a means of getting to them, he easily acquiesced to enrollment, doing all he could to speed up the process so the gods wouldn't find out what he was doing and punish him for trying to escape.
