Appearance Description:

• ~Height 5’10”. Weight 149 lbs.
• ~He has blood-red irises and pitch black hair.
• ~He has slightly bigger and sharper fangs (Not as much as a vampire’s though) and white claws instead of nails.
• ~He has an athletic build and a slightly tanned skin.
• ~He has two snow-white horns on his head that curl backwards and then towards the front.
• ~He has two big bat-like wings on his back of a snow-white coloration. There are some scars on the membrane that are still slightly visible as well as a couple of missing bits on “V” shapes on its borders here and there. Reminders of the day when he had to flee from hell.
• ~He has a snow-white tail with an arrowhead-like end. The tail is long and flexible and even if the tip looks dangerous it is actually harmless.
• ~He has a log scar on his chest, two smaller ones on his upper right arm and one over his right eye.
• ~He likes wearing black clothes, which make a huge contrast with his white horns, wings and tail.

Personality Description:

• ~Paranoid: He’s constantly thinking that there is an angel or a demon on his tail with intentions to kill him. He can handle the angel thoughts with relative ease, since he has been dealing with this since he was born, but after he had to flee from Hell he is terrified to think that ne could be planning to kill him as soon as he drops his guard, and with Manta Carlos being so full of demons his paranoia doesn’t get any better. This makes him rather easy to manipulate most of the time for said demons, especially if they manage to corner him, since he thinks that they’re trying to kill him and he would do anything to avoid that.
• ~Touchy with certain subjects: He’s a bit touchy when anyone asks about his scars or why he became a rising demon, it can go from simply avoiding the question or asking for them to stop asking, to threats or even physical aggression if the one answering is too insistent.
• ~Leftover demonic instincts: No matter how hard he tries to ignore it or forget about it, he is a demon, even if now he became a rising demon. There are still leftover thoughts and reactions to certain situations thanks to this that he can’t control.
• ~Worried for his students: Since the academy of Manta Carlos decided to give him a second chance, his students became his top priority, and consequently he will do anything to help them. He tries to be a good teacher and even tries to be strict from time to time, but he can’t help but reveal his softest side if he sees any of them in trouble.
• ~Grateful: He feels that he owes a lot to Starlight Academy, not only it gave him a work, but also shelter and protection of those trying to hunt him down.
• ~Goody wannabe: As a rising demon, he is constantly trying to show the world that he isn’t one of those evil soul gatherers that the fairytales are constantly talking about when anyone touches the subject of what a demon is or what it does. However, this isn’t something easy to achieve most of the time, even when he tries his best to be a good guy.
• ~Nightmares: A side effect of his paranoia, he’s constantly having nightmare after nightmare, what causes him to lack a proper amount of sleep. Nights where he sleeps past the 4 hours are rare, and those where he actually sleeps peacefully are even rarer. Sleeping without nightmares is one of his biggest wishes.
• ~Easily startled: Anyone that walks up to him when he’s distracted, or if he simply can’t hear them, and touches his shoulder or talks to him will immediately make him scream and jump, and that’s just an example. Being so paranoid makes him easy to startle or frighten, even in situations where other people wouldn’t even feel surprised.
• ~Wise: He has eons of experience on his side, and though his experience as a rising demon is fairly limited, he has more than enough to give answers to most problems or advice if anyone wants to hear it.
• ~Smoking/Drinking: When he isn’t on the school grounds, it isn’t uncommon to see him smoking or drinking. It’s the only way he had to escape his problems before he came to Manta Carlos and old habits die hard. He tries to avoid getting too drunk outside his home, but in a especially bad day he may pass out while drinking while he’s at home, this would only occur on really rare situations when he’s on a bar.
• ~Addict: Thanks to his sleeping problems he started to take sleeping pills, but his body quickly adapted and he had to take bigger doses to sleep. Now he simply can’t stop consuming them. However, it’s a good thing that he hadn’t even dared to try any other kind of drugs before and consequently he has no other drug addictions.

Powers:
After he became a rising demon, all his powers were instantly taken away from him. Luckily for him his dark magic wasn’t linked to said powers and consequently he’s still able to use it freely.

Dark Magic:
He has mastery over thousands of years of dark magic. His knowledge includes:

• ~He specializes on the area of spells and curses, and though knows enough to teach students about the rest he usually prefers to stay inside his comfort zone.
• ~Most spells are used mostly to harm other through methods that can vary from simply giving small amounts of bad luck to actually physically harm. The spells draw energy from the user and though they can be a lot more effective than other kinds of magic when harming anyone the price to pay is also higher. It can go from energy draining to the actual need to make sacrifices (It can go from a drop or two of blood to actually give an animal as a sacrifice, though this kind of spells are extremely advanced and only rarely used thanks to their complexity).
• ~As the name says, curses are meant to be fairly dangerous, and if not performed correctly they can either give undesired results or work against the one trying to cast it. These can be temporary (The most common) or semi-permanent (Must be reversed for it to end, these are specially hard to do and may drain the user’s energy while casting them).
• ~Part of this magic also includes voodoo, rituals and summoning, so he’s able to help students on those areas. However, he knows that other teachers may specialize on said areas and tries to keep these to a minimum.
• ~He can use the dark magic both to help and harm with relative ease, though he knows that, unlike with light magic, dark magic can be harmful even if used while trying to help people.
• ~The more experienced the mage, less energy will be needed for the spell. If an experienced mage tries to do basic spells, he won’t even feel the change at all, but if a novice tries to make a really advanced spell he/she may not be able to handle the amount of energy that it will draw from him/her, what can go from fainting to the actual death.

Forbidden Magic:
He knows a fair amount of forbidden magic as well, though he refuses to use it most of the time. His knowledge includes:

• ~The list of spells is really wide though most of them can be narrowed to death, torture and control groups.
• ~Death spells are the most common area of the forbidden magic, and no, this doesn’t means necromancy, but actual killing. These spells are incredibly risky to perform, as there is a really high chance of them backfiring. These kind of spells are usually meant to be used on creatures that otherwise would be immortal, and even if performed correctly it is like throwing a dice. The number one six would be the success of the spell, the number one would be it backfiring and killing the user instead, and the remaining four number would be the unsuccessful outcome, in other words nothing happens and the energy of the user that was drained is wasted.
• ~Torture spells do exactly what their name says, torture the one that is under the spell. Complicated and a bit risky, using them is like playing the game of cups, with two chances of it not working and only one of it doing the desired damage. The mage decides the intensity and time of the torture, prolonged torture can lead to the insanity of the victim. The longer the time and higher the intensity, the more energy is taken from the mage.
• ~Control spells are made to control people against their will. This is the only spell group of the forbidden area that can be fought back (Either by counter spell or abilities), and if the mage casting it is defeated, he/she will feel a huge drain in their energies. Even the most experienced mages wouldn’t attempt to try more than 3 times, fearing that their energies would be drained completely.
• ~If any student ask him to teach him/her forbidden magic he will immediately refuse to do it. There are ways to force him to teach forbidden magic to other people, but even then he won’t like it at all.

Biography:
Born in Hell and raised as any other demon, he was just your average demon doing average demon stuff. He wasn’t powerful enough to have a title like other demons, but his respectable rank allowed him to be several steps above most demons, thing that gave him a lot of benefits.

However, he dreamed of bigger things, and the best way to get what he wanted was by getting favors from his king by removing potential threats from Earth and harvesting souls from other creatures, and he immediately started to get involved in both things.

It was both a blessing and curse when he crossed paths with some purifiers and even warriors. He wished that he had found a restorer or two as well, since those could be considered the bigger threats by many, but he didn’t had such luck. He had to be careful, since slay angels wasn’t as easy, but he didn’t stepped back.

What everyone forgot to tell him was that being around purifiers for prolonged periods of time and not doing anything else but that had consequences. He talked to some of them in attempts to distract them or even drag them into traps, and though it worked with a couple of them, it also allowed to them to start affecting him. By the time when he was done the changes were unnoticeable, and if he wanted he would’ve been able to undo them fairly easily, but instead of doing so, he started to grow curious about these newly found feelings.

It is true that demons can become rising demons without intervention of any other creature, but he got a huge boost by those small changes within him, and his curiosity only made the while situation speed up. After a decade or two he found himself not only hesitating about taking a soul or not, but also he started to help mortals from time to time. He managed to do it without getting caught for a decade or two, but none can hide this kind of stuff forever.

He was caught and immediately judged. His once pitch black extremities turned snow-white, marking him as a rising demon. He immediately disobeyed direct orders from his king and fled from Hell. You’ll see, rising demons are so rare not only because it’s hard to make a demon “Start to step into the world of Light” like more people like to say it, but because if they’re discovered nd judged the only outcome usually is the execution.

He didn’t came out unscathed, several scars on his wings and body being proof of how close he was of dying while fleeing from the other demons. He had to learn to live on Earth from then on, he knew of rising demons being accepted in heaven, but after all the damage he did by slaying their angels once, he decided to play it safe and not even attempt to go there.

He lived constantly haunted by the thoughts of other demons trying to hunt them down, what caused his relationship with them become a bit awkward. He liked being around what he still considered were his kin, but at the same time he feared that one of them would turn against him as soon as he dropped his guard.

Starlight Academy contacted him some decades after, offering him a job and even a safe place to stay. He immediately took the opportunity and went to Manta Carlos to work as a new teacher.
