The laughter hit Kirika like a blast of cold air. It occurred to her that the child's pursuant wasn't even solid, let alone susceptible to bullets. She let the male voice dissipate before lowering the gun, feeling exceptionally foolish. She could feel her blood pressure rising.

Fucking magical school. And their fucking ghosts. God, she hated dreams.

She turned back and was mildly surprised to see the girl on the ground. Apparently the chase was extended. She didn't want to snap at her, so she kept her distance. "Are you all right?" she asked, holstering her gun, her fury rising to the muscles of her face. Yep, she was glaring at a fallen child.

Adelene couldn't understand why the girl looked so angry. She didn't answer her, instead she looked down at her legs, feeling them to be a little sore from all the running. She tried to stand up, and fortunately, she managed.

"I'm fine. Did you... Did you make him go away? Th-Thank you." She was a little intimidated by that fixed gaze, and kept wondering if she did anything wrong. Pretty surely though, she hasn't done anything, and they just met. "Why are you angry..?"

==> Allan
@"Emy"

Allan hummed thoughtfully. "It's not really surprising to hear that. I had... a number of friends back in high school who told me that any kind of power similar to that is probably not the best thing to have," he explained. Allan himself was aware most psychic abilities weren't the best thing to have and being aware of the other-wordly can be really disturbing for a normal person. At least for Allan, he could say he'd gotten used to frequent nightmares that eventually come true.

"I've been here for a bit and I honestly can't tell if it would be considering... well... other inhabitants of the island." Even though Allan wasn't the type to eavesdrop, it was easy to hear the rumors around the school and he's already picked up more stories than he wanted.

Allan hummed again after taking a sip from the tea (that seemed to never run out), "Well, I guess people around here have very... active imaginations, I suppose. I mean I could make something like a horror house or a theme park but just getting to sit in a nice cozy house is a nice change of pace." He'd choose nice and cozy over dying people any day.

Seth Oreades

As Seneca and Allan had begun to delve into interesting and meaningful conversation, Seth had slowly but surely begun to fall asleep, partially due to his own tendency to space out, and partially due to the comforting warmth of the tea he had just drank. He did not have time to ponder how, exactly, he was even able to fall asleep when he was already dreaming- but so it happened, and as he slept, he found himself transported to another portion of this elaborate and chaotic shared dream...

He stood in the doorway of a horribly decimated room, the only piece of furniture still intact being a small wooden table, atop which sat a glass cover with a glowing red rose beneath it. He watched as a petal gently fell from the rose, and looked over with pitying eyes at a dark figure brooding deeper in the room. It must be hard, he thought, to be so incredibly lonely...

He suddenly felt a small tug on his dress- he was now, as it happens, wearing a simple blue frock with a white apron tied around his waist, making it look rather small and giving him a rather decent figure from the front. He looked down, and saw a small, candlestick-shaped mushroom standing at his feet. Beside this mushroom stood another, this one with a clock face on its front. Both of them were wearing expressions of knowing concern, but they tugged along at Seth's dress, pulling him out of the doorway.

"Now, now, fair one," the candlestick-mushroom said, in a surprisingly thick French accent. "Let us let zee master be for now. 'Ee 'as 'ad a trying day...Perhaps!" The mushroom perked up. "Perhaps, we could give you a tour of the castle, no?"

The clock-faced mushroom pulled the other mushroom aside, grumbling a few moments, before it reluctantly relented. "I suppose a tour wouldn't hurt," it muttered, looking away.

And so the two happy little fungi totted Seth around at their figurative heels, bringing him down to a glorious dining room where they and several other varieties of fungi sang about plates and food and being their guests, which was all very amusing to Seth, if not utterly perplexing. He wondered how the mysterious shady character brooding in the rose room was doing. He might enjoy a spectacle of this sort....

Seneca Yates

He winced a little. "Ah, I would really prefer not to have a horror house. I've been there quite a few times myself and it's always an awful time. Calm is good. Peaceful places are rather hard to find these days." Seneca frowned at his empty teacup and it refilled itself.

"Are your powers dream based, then?" He asked. "You seem unusually well adapted for somebody in one of these sorts of dreams."

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Even Kirika's voice dripped with menace as she turned to face the girl, doing her best to soften her expression. It wasn’t working; her glare was still as pronounced as cheekbones on an elderly woman. The sooner she could determine that this child was safe, the sooner she could leave and end this dream once and for all. Then again, there was that thing that was chasing the girl...

Kirika approached Adelene, holding out a hand to help her up. "Tell me what that voice was," she demanded in a low tone, leaving out the part about her being angry. "I'll be happier if it's something that can be obliterated."

Adelene took her hand. There was evident hesitance though, mostly because Kirika looked scary despite trying to play dumb about it.

"His name is Seth," the little girl started to explain. Her voice was raspy and she seemed out of breath still, but she was doing her best to speak properly. She didn't let go of Kirika's hand. Her legs still felt sore after her running, and not knowing that this is all a dream, a nightmare, everything felt real. "He's chasing me for my powers... So I have to run away... He might... He might come back. He always does."

Dulce/Lust —> Invidia @"hyperhurricane"

Vidia waited for herself to calm down completely before she turned to look at her father. It took a little longer of course, because those had been pent up tears she'd been keeping for a while now. Between the choice of having a permanently dead father or a reincarnated form of himself, she'd have to choose the latter even if it meant he couldn't meet her for longer than she'd want. She felt rather comforted by his presence now enough to calm her when he gave her a nuzzle.

Vidia took another glance towards Dulce before turning to Asmodeus, still rubbing her eyes from her earlier fit. "My name.. my name's Invidia," she said in a low voice. She looked up at him curiously, "What.. do you exactly mean by.. being the incarnation of Lust though? Are there others?" she asked inquisitively. She'd had played with the idea about being a demon of a Sin but.. they actually exist?

Kirika could feel the hesitation in the way the girl held out her hand. Still scared. Normally she would act more civilly around a frightened child, but they were up against a spectre and an entire dreamscape, and Kirika was not in the mood. Nonetheless, she helped Adelene up from the ground.

"He'd better not," Kirika hissed, her other hand reaching for the handle of her gun. She was itching to riddle some delinquent ghost teenager with lead, but of course that wasn't possible. However, the seeds of an idea started to grow in the back of her mind.

"Are you lost? Or don't you have anywhere to go back to?"

"Um... Both..." Adelene almost looked embarrassed admitting that. She shifted, kicking the dirtpath lazily as she looked away. "Can I go with you? Where are you headed, miss?" She was actually hesitant about asking, but she felt like she was forgetting something and... and she couldn't remember but she had a destination. Maybe tagging along with someone could remind her.
