Deith's summer green eyes are usually narrow or droopy, but there are times when they would reveal the insanity he's hiding. His hair, soft and silky, are chocolate in shade, long, and would cover his face if ever he decides not to fix it. His eye color changes to red when he changes his form. Deith is 6ft tall and weighs 142lbs.
In his demon form, Deith has long horns curved upwards from the back of his ears. Slightly long fangs grow from his upper teeth. Small runes crawl through his face like faint veins black veins. He has black feather wings, which he can hide and reveal at will.
Personality Description:
Deith is... very unstable. Although usually collected, sudden bursts of all kinds are inevitable. He's very sensitive to his surroundings. It's easy for him to be affected by whatever he encounters. Humans used to call him 'insane'. He was worse than a monster. But love developed in his heart, and so the monster inside somewhat calmed down, to an extent.
He loves painting and appreciates other people's art. He loves human food, even though souls are all he needed to feed on, his favorite being pastries and homemade dishes.
Souls do not need to be taken away from their bodies for Deith to feed on them. He would only need a portion, through a person's blood or lust, which means people do not die from it. A person can make him last a week, if he doesn't use his powers. Souls being his source of energy, they are like Calorie-filled meals if compared to human food. He can also taste them, and it depends on a person's nature if the soul would taste good or not. The most delicious would be the innocent.
During episodes, Deith's personality can be very unpredictable. He can attack others, or hurt himself, or snap at pretty much anything. Nothing, but a reminder of his lover, can effectively calm him down.
Species Abilities:
Feeding: Souls do not need to be taken away from their bodies for Deith to feed on them. He would only need a portion, through a person's blood or lust, which means people do not necessarily die from it. He does, however, have the option of draining a person's blood if he wanted to. So his style of feeding may be similar to the vampire and the incubus. A person can make him last a week, if he doesn't use his powers. Souls being his source of energy, they are like Calorie-filled meals if compared to human food. He can also taste them, and it depends on a person's nature if the soul would taste good or not. The most delicious ones would be the innocent. He ages slightly every time he neglects feeding, but he can gain back his original state (which is his nineteen-year-old appearance) by binge feeding.
Powers: Deith was able to acquire skills in casting spells, specifically for illusions. He even puts illusions in artworks that can be activated by certain conditions he can set. He can also directly infect a person's brain with illusions, as in to cheat that person's senses from the inside. Optical, auditory, sensory, smelling, he can do all kinds. Effects are temporary; their duration depends on how Deith sets it.
However, setting up illusions consumes Deith as well. He can only make two weak illusions at a time, or one strong one. Beyond that, he would dramatically deplete his own energy, or he might put himself in danger by being infected by his own spells.
Even without his spells though, Deith is also very good in handling blades and guns. His wings make him able to fly, but he doesn't use them unless needed.
Biography:
Deith was once a human who grew up alone and filled with hatred. Everyone always eventually left him, and then he'd suffer and face all kinds of misfortunes alone. These repeated instances caused trauma to him. He became insane, to the point that he resorted to killing whenever he was angry, and whenever he liked someone so much and didn't want to be left alone again. He became a necrophilic psycho, who's killed many women and men, violently, brutally (and raped some of the corpses afterwards). He became a high profile criminal, and was sent to an asylum after being caught.
In his time there, he was made to believe that once he gets better, he was going to be set free. But his level of insanity was too high, and even his psychologist started losing hope for him. Even in the asylum, he killed patients he didn't like, dismembering them even with bare hands or silverware, and so he was isolated from them, given his own room, and guards.
One brave man visited and volunteered to help, having heard of Deith from the news and believing they were alike. Even when Deith tried to hurt him, he didn't go away, he didn't fear him, and this moved Deith very much. They fell in love, and Deith started to put more effort into controlling himself. But his lover died shortly after. Unable to take the shock, Deith decided to follow the man in the afterlife. For some reason, maybe because of his numerous killings, he was resurrected as a demon. Other demons wanted his talent. As a token, they gave him his lover's necklace, which was the only thing that assured him that his lover would come back whenever the man left. Inside the pendulum-like center of the necklace was his lover's soul.
He was able to learn the art of spells just shortly after, and discovered Manta Carlos from his seniors along the way. Attracted by the descriptions he's heard, he decided to check the place out. He fell in love with the sceneries, so he willingly stayed, in a house on a hill near the woods, just like how his lover's house was built once upon a time. He came and went, though. He made money through underground deals and constantly requested artworks from his favorite artist, Eve Willows, whose art style was similar to his lover's. He did his own paintings, but he only did them for fun.
