The Queen Bee of Starlight Academy dusted her hands off and presided over her — sorry, their party with complete pride. Their Pre-Halloween October 30th party was coming along great.

The three of them, referred in her head as a "triple threat" — Student Council President Morgan Ferris, Vice-President Marina Bellamy, and the lovely Clarence Crowther, heir of Crowther Estate — collaborated on throwing what they hoped was going to be the biggest Pre-Halloween party in Manta Carlos! They hired a bunch of prop artists to decorate the park as spooky as possible. There were the traditional cobwebs, statues of gargoyles and coffins with almost authentic looking bodies inside. (Marina would know if they were fake.) There was even a whole haunted tunnel with paid actors, if anyone cared about that sort of thing.

Food! There were free food. Blood-colored punch, candy apples, Halloween sugar cookies, nachos, and all that stuff. There were chillers full of juice and beer, and they weren't going to stop anybody that went for beers. For entertainment, there was a live, goth Rock band playing at the center of the park. She also got word that Clarence hired some fireworks people to set off spooky magic fireworks when the clock hit midnight. What a way to kickstart Halloween!

The party was now starting at 5pm and it was, of course, open for everyone, and right at the city square so people couldn't miss it. The only rule seemed to be to come in costume, and if they didn't have a costume, they could just gank some stuff off the party trunk near the entrance. If anybody was anybody, Marina believed they should, like, totally show up. That was just the natural reaction to these sort of things, riiiight?

Marina placed her hands on her hips and grinned. She herself was dressed like a sexy Queen Bee, with a crown and everything. This was going to be fun.

Lexi;

The eleven year old was left on her own for a bit. Knowing that her dad was at work and she could always get him to join her if she was in any trouble. She looked around at the place. Seeing all the food as her eyes opened wide. She was going to have a good day either eating or talking.

"Hmm.. Daddy said I shouldn't have TOO many sweets.. It will ruin dinner.. Though I doubt Miss Genesis would have any problem~" She said with a giggle. As she started to make a small plate of finger food. Looking around as she didn't see many people to start off she hung her head a bit and kept eating. Wearing a Princess outfit that she was going to wear for halloween so Kimiko could see how she looked in it.

Tellios;

Tellios walked into the small party wearing a suit of armor. With a shield that had the heraldry of a bat. It was obvious to him and his girlfriend who it was for. A scabbard with a fake sword in it as his eyes glowed a bright red under. Scanning around the room as he tried to find someone to talk to. Though.. The silver armor seemed to have been a little bit too much. Even if there were will mechanical spiders walking about his armor.

"Interesting turn out.. possible that I have arrived far too early.."

He said out loud.

Wei Hu Sun

Wei had borrowed one of Arren's--for lack of a better word--monkey suits, and sized it down for him. He'd also given him a white hat that Wei had added bunny ears and a pocket watch to. It was a little tighter than he usually liked, but it was getting colder, and he wasn't averse to a few extra layers on top of his fur if they helped him feel warm and toasty. He'd asked Sid to come with him, but he said that he couldn't. That he was "busy with something" and that just made Wei sigh.

It seemed he was showing up to things alone more and more often lately, and it left him... well, it didn't feel good.

He traipsed over to the table and helped himself to the food.

Thierry Virtue

He wasn't the most clear on the concept of Halloween, but everyone else seemed to like it, so he went too, dressed in the kind of vampire costume that could have only been store-bought.

Miss Helen encouraged him to mingle. To make friends. He might find people like him there. Children with dark magic.

Thierry stood near the entrance and wrung his small hands in fists before walking into the part and grabbing a cookie. He looked to Lexi and fidgeted. "Uhm.... H-hello."

Neon

Neon was dressed like a mummy. A sexy mummy. The fact that he may have been a tad under budget and only bought a bunch of toilet paper from the grocery store was relevant to absolutely nothing. He wore a loose, white wifebeater and black jeans with mummy wrappings.

For the moment, he leaned against a very authentic prop of a sarcophagus for accuracy's sake, sipping a clear plastic cup of red punch with jelly eyeballs swimming inside. He checked the crowd for any interesting people to chat up.

He couldn't but stare at the party in front of him. Nicholas didn't understand the hype that was build up around Halloween. To him it barely qualified as a holiday. But Pre-Halloween? That was just stupid. Additionally to that it didn't make sense to him why these creatures would dress up in costumes. To him they were all monsters. Dressing up as each other seemed ridicules. But maybe it was some kind of custom here. Maybe he just didn't know any better. Maybe he should just ask someone. But then again, why bother? He wasn't that interested. But he probably should build up relationships. Having friends never hurt. Well, with normal people that was. Maybe here he had to do strange rituals to stay in someones favour. Kill people or sell his soul? A shiver ran down his spine. Maybe he shouldn't go to the party. Maybe he should turn around and go back. Anywhere else would probably be fine. Or not, as he was on an island together with the strangest things he could – or couldn't – imagine.

Struggling with his thoughts he decided that it wouldn't hurt to just stand next to the buffet and watch. Observe the creatures around him and then decide on how to act. So he crept through the people towards the food, not wearing a costume but hoping that he didn't stand out too much.

A party! She was so excited! As soon as she got the invitation, she raced home from school, got changed in her costume, and raced over to the square. Upon arrival, she ducked into a side street, taking a moment to calm her breathing. Didn't want to show up all huffy and puffy.

Once her heartbeat slowed down to normal, she stepped into the main square. She was dressed up as a cute little kitty. She had on black shorts and a black top, black boots and gloves, and a headband with ears on it. She had drawn whiskers on her face and wrapped a black cloth around her tail so it would be cylindrical like a cat's, not spade-shaped like a demon's.

She looked around, taking in everything there was to do. There was so much! Where would she start? She went over at got some punch, her tail waving in the air behind her as she filled up a cup.

Not everyone at the party had been invited. Not everyone at the party knew that there was going to be a party, or even what a party was.

See, at least one individual had ended up at the party accidentally, and thanks to an earlier accident that had left a living slime mixed in with a bunch of distinctly not silver but somehow undifferentiable??? non-living slime. And put into a container. And sold.

Lima-Sierra didn't take it personally. Heck, it had made for a decent nap; slime was comfy.

BUT NOW THE SLIME WAS RELEASED, and also really really really hungry it wasn't fair T^T

The human-sized pile of slime oozed across the ground, weaving between people and sliming their feet and nibbling at all of their emotions. There were so many people! It wasn't necessary to climb on and drain and possibly negate anyone! All Lima-Sierra had to do was meander around and sample everyone! Like that one!

Arlette came to the party dressed as the Grim Reaper, if the Grim Reaper came from a land of frost and darkness. She wore a large black robe with a giant ominous hood, like what most people expect the reaper to wear. But she used her elemental powers to her advantage, coating the robe in clusters of frost and lining the edges of the fabric in dark ice. Instead of a boring metal scythe, she made the long curved blade out of pure ice. She herself would consider it simple, just enough to get into the spirit of Halloween.

The party itself was magnificiant. They really went all out for the decorations! Even the food was beautifully themed. Halloween was definitely in Arlette's top three favorite holidays, and she was glad to see people taking it so seriously like this.

She decided to stick around the food for the most part. Free food was free food, and she didn't want to take it for granted.

Emily arrived at the party dressed up in a fancy fortune teller outfit. A small smile decorated her face as she slowly waded into the party. To an untrained observer, she might have looked a little odd, constently skirting crowds and licking her lips, but she was enjoying herself.

When she got to the snack table, she just kind of stared at it for a while. Her eyebrows knit together as she carefully pondered the many foods layed across the table. What would taste best when combined with the general mood of the party? It was generally sweet or salty as people enjoyed themselves, cuddled on each other, or ogled the costumes...

Nachos seemed like a good choice. Emily began loading a plate with chips and heading over to the condiments for them. She was just reaching for a spoon to add the cheese when she felt something latch onto her pants. She jumped a little and looked down to see a mechanical spider crawling up her leg, which of course only made her jump around more trying to fling it off.

The little thing was persistent, and she was beginning to lose her balance as it continued climbing. "Ah! G-Getitoff Geti-itoff!" Tears quickly formed in her eyes. While she wasn't really afraid of spiders normally, this was something of a special case.

It was that time of year, almost. That time of the year were a lot of the girls got away with wearing revealing clothing, as well as the time when boys just... Didn't try. Fashioning herself a super cute Maid outfit (that surprisingly wasn't that revealing) with black stockings and black dress shoes, she looked like an ant compared to the other costumes. Arriving fashionably late, she scanned the area for people that needed someone to talk to. Walking over to the punch stand, she saw a cute kitty outfit that she so totally needed to compliment. "I love your costume!" She said, tapping on the person's shoulder in excitement.

It was very busy already, which made Claire feel out of place. As she looked down at her costume, her remake of the movie Princess Mononoke's San, which she though looked really good. "Alright." She said, getting off her Attel's back as they arrived. "You know you look more convincing if you stay on my back." Attel said calmly as he looked at her. "I know, but I would like to at least stretch my legs." Walking over to the food, Claire sees a girl in a fairly awesome looking grim reaper costume. Looking at the scythe, she smiled brightly at the fact that it was made out of ice. Wanting to know more, she walked quickly to the front of the girl, Attel trotting behind her, not wanting to hit anyone. "Is that made out of ice?" She asked the girl.
