Name: Thresher Hugh
Age: 37 (19)
Birthday: 12/1
Gender: Male
Category: Citizen
Birth Place / Hometown: Siberian Steppes
Occupation: Woods Keeper
Race/Species: Werewolf(Siberian Wolf)
Appearance Description:
Thresher's body is 6'2, 300 pounds of muscle, and absolutely covered in scars. The most prominent scar is the one over his right eye, which is missing, the eyelid indefinitely closed. his other eye is sharp and aware, colored a steely blue-grey. The hair on his head is a greying black, and cut short to keep it out of the way. It's rare for him to wear anything other then a loose pair of pants, a belt, and a cloak, but when he does it's something practical.
His wolf form is a large white and black Siberian wolf, roughly seven feet long including tail, a good two feet longer then most of his kind.
His werewolf form is what you'd expect.
Personality Description:
Thresher alternates between stoic, brash, and aggressive. While he's been socialized enough to understand human etiquette well enough to function, there are just some things you can't take out of him. He tends to think about things in a more tactical manor then most people might. While not a terribly often occurrence, if he's fond of someone he will try to pass on his wisdom to them, becoming a kind of self-imposed mentor on occasion.
Powers:
Enhanced Physical Form: Thresher's body has been pushed to the peek of physical capacity due to the lycanthropy coursing through his veins.
-Enhanced Strength and Agility: Thresher's body is covered in a dense layer of muscle. this allows him to move at higher speeds and accomplish feats of strength that the average human wouldn't be able to.
-Cold Tolerance: Having once been a Siberian wolf, Thresher's new and improved form has only made it easier for him to handle cold. Even in human form he can handle most sub-arctic temperatures without too much trouble.
-Tissue Regeneration: While not exceptionally fast, Any wound inflicted on Thresher heals at an unnatural quickness. It's possible he could take a bullet to the head and still get back up after a little while, but but enough physical damage will overwhelm the regeneration and kill him.
Wolf Physiology: Having origins as a wolf Thresher has a few notable qualities that are prominent in even his human form.
-Loner and Pack Mentality: As a steppe wolf Thresher has experience hunting and foraging both with a pack and by himself. He has the mindset for tactics to use what he has available and conserve resources when possible. This can lead to him being both predictable and unpredictable depending on the situation.
-Heightened Smell/Hearing: Both his sense of smell and hearing are stronger then a normal humans. He can track most beings be their scent, and can usually place the distance of something from their sound. This allows him to compensate some for his missing eye.
-Night Vision: Though he only has one eye, it retains the capability to see through the dark. It's not particularly notable however, as the lack of depth perception make him only marginally more effective then a regular human.
Flaws
Wolf Years: While the lycanthropy has dampened this to some extent, Thresher still suffers from the shorter lifespan that a wolf should have. While he will still live a fairly long life, especially compared to a normal wolf, his physical age is roughly double they time he's lived.
Dampened Healing Ability: While He may heal more or less like other werewolves do, for whatever Thresher's body regenerates at a slower rate and less efficiently, resulting in the myriad of scars marking his body.
Shift Exhaustion: If Thresher remains in his werewolf form for an extended period of time he will be fatigued and very hungry upon shifting either to wolf or human form again. If he remains in werewolf form for too long he will eventually be forced down into one of the other forms and pass out.
Lunacy: As the moon grows full Thresher feels the draw of his instincts and the call of the hunt once more. There is an incredible desire to run free as a werewolf and eat his fill. Thresher has stronger control over this weakness then many others do to being a wolf, but it doesn't remove it entirely.
Biography:
A lonely winter night some years ago, a nameless wolf cub was born on the Siberian steppes among a litter of many others. life progressed as you might expect for a young wolf for the few years it took him to mature. Once he was old enough to leave his mother, the wolf struck out on his own for a while, wondering the steppes and forests alone. Eventually he once more fell in with a pack, not quite the alpha of the pack, but up there.
One night, during the full moon, eerie howls could be heard echoing over the tundra. The pack was put on edge and readied for the strange scents approaching them, but they simply didn't have the strength to fend of the werewolves. Battered and bleeding, the lone survivor, the wolf ran and continued to fight against the larger creatures. It wasn't long before the lycanthropy set in on him as well, and he transformed into a massive beast just like his assailants.
The fight continued, the wolf and werewolves lashing out at each other until dawn broke them from their madness. Initially the wolf ran, trying to make sense of the two new forms it couldn't yet control properly. Before long the other weres caught up with him, and he was accepted into their pack to learn about his new existence.
He took on the name Thresher, and spent some time learning to coupe with both the urges of his wolf self, and the new intricacies of human life. He learned to speak more or less properly, and got a basic understanding of reading and writing. After a while of living his new life, having drifted away from and back to the pack once or twice, Thresher received a letter from the Manta Carlos isles offering him a job.
Additional Information:
His last name came about from a misunderstanding. He was asked his last name and stated "Huh?"
He isn't aware of the actual date of his birth, and really only recognizes it as 'winter' even if he uses the first of December as a place marker
He speaks both Russian and English, as well as a smattering of other European languages. He doesn't have a Russian or English accent, all his speech instead marked with a growling undertone. He can also communicate with wolves and other werewolves through the 'wolf' language, to a degree.
