Magical Boy: The form most people recognize these days. He stands 5'10, same as his moose form, is lanky-muscular - also like his moose form, although he only weighs about a hundred and eighty pounds. His skin is a soft nutty brown, but there is a large gold star spreading across the base of his throat. It isn't even a pointy star - it has rounded edges. His hair is a rich dark reddish brown for the most part, and cut into a shaggy reverse bob that reaches his collarbones in the front. There is a gold patch above his right eye, and his eyes are very dark brown. He has broad cheekbones and a solid chin.
Clothing is really the defining mark of his Magical Boy form, from a visual perspective. The majority of his clothing cannot be removed from his body without forcing him back to moose; smaller pieces, like his hat, cannot go more than two feet from his body without forcing him out of Magical Boy mode.
From top to bottom: first, his hat. It is a smallish, poofy stereotypical rich british hunter hat, in neon pink camo with a large gold star button on top. It sits askew, on the right side of the top of his head with the brim facing forward.
Also on his head is a chain running across his forehead. It is actually attached to his hat rather than itself, but the attachment is subtle. The chain is black metal and a gold star dangles from it just to the outside of his left eye.
Atrith wears a dark pink and grey-green camo capelet, fastened to his shoulders and around his throat with gold star pins. It is a fairly dense material and provides good protection against thorns and twigs, even if it utterly fails at being camouflage in almost all situations. The capelet hangs to his hips and is broad enough to wrap around himself.
Under the capelet, he has a thin long-sleeved button up shirt in pale grey. The buttons are round and pink, and it is one of his only garments lacking stars. He usually has the cuffs rolled up past his elbows and the top few buttons undone, but that's pretty much as close as he can get to taking it off. He also has a freaking tie, which he can retie as a bowtie or loosen. He does not wear a pink bowtie, ugh. He suffers with a very loose pink tie.
Part of the reason he pushes up his sleeves is because he's stuck with these weird black gloves with poofy cuffs. Sure, they protect his hands without limiting his dexterity or anything, but there are gold stars on his fingertips. W H Y.
He can still punch you in them.
His pants are also black and poofy around the lower calves, only to be bound with pink ribbons that wave dramatically in the wind. They are, at least, cargo pants even if the pockets are all closed with gold star buttons.
Boots. Finally. His boots are soft leather, medium brown with black soles and toe-caps, and pink stitching. There is a gold star under each heel and the tops of the boots are curved like slouchy cowboy boots.
Well, his gun is actually part of his Magical Boy form, so not quite done. It is a long-barreled sniper rifle in its natural form, the barrel matte black with pink and black camo on the body, but its wielder repeatedly modifies it because he's not a damn ranged sneaker, he's a T A N K. He wraps foamy hand grips to the barrel and studs the butt and body with spikes, and then holds it backwards and swings it at people.
Magical Hunter: Think of this as the grown-up version of the Magical Boy form. His physical body gains small antler nubs (they may eventually be full antlers but he can't even grow those in moose form yet; he's too young) and his moose weight and strength carries through now. He doesn't look any heavier, but heck yeah this moose can sprint while carrying a really really heavy sniper rifle... which, by the way, happens to have collapsible supports now that double as axe blades.
That's right, he can fight in close combat properly now. His cape is longer, hanging to his ankles now, and provides active camouflage. His remaining clothing is softer in colour, darker and more sombre, and he has a black collar around his neck rather than a chain across his forehead. The back of the collar has a large pink bow with gold tassels.
Personality Description: This moose teenager is very, very concerned with propriety and people staying in their perceived roles. Going against expectations and the grain is extremely stressful for him, and while his perceptions of roles and expectations are, at times, downright irrational he is at least consistent about it.
Getting loudly and openly stressed about things like that is actually sort of a defence mechanism for him. It keeps him from having to question traditions and expectations, and it keeps him from trying to find his own place. He doesn't know who or what or where he's supposed to be, so he wraps himself in the understand that he is supposed to be a moose and that moose are tanky and tough and short-ranged.
He is spectacularly stubborn, and defensively reactive. He tends to refuse outright to admit that there's anything underneath, but he always looks sad and lonely when he's asleep. Except when he's dreaming, because then he tends to look angry again.
Denial is even more of a tool for this moose than the magic rifle he uses as a freaking spiked bat.

The transformation takes about thirty seconds and will fail if the music stops playing in that time. A large gold star with rounded points appears under his moose feet and slowly spins as it rises up through his body. As the star passes, his Magical Boy form appears silhouetted in gold and awkwardly vaguely nude. From foot to head each of his articles of clothing appears with a stretchy pop, silhouetted in pink. Once everything else is present, his gun appears as a black shadow, lacking any previous alterations or damage (same goes for his clothing). He is forced to grab his gun and lean it over his shoulder before the transformation ends and proper colour appears; he can't really do anything else until the transformation is done.
In Magical Boy mode, he can fly via floating but controlling it is mostly a matter of will and he has yet to learn to use it. His primary power is his weapon. It can fire moderately large calibre bullets but only spawns with two bullets, one loaded and one in his pocket. In Magical Hunter form, his gun is actually suited for both shooting and smacking, and fires energy blasts rather than bullets. These energy blasts can act like either energy, passing through physical defences, or like solid bullets, passing through energy defences. Solid bullets deal more damage but are more easily deflected. Energy bullets have a range of five kilometres before fading out and an accurate range of one kilometre. Physical bullets have an accurate range of two kilometres. His gun can fire one shot every two seconds and takes two additional seconds to change between energy and physical bullets.
Magical Hunter has the added passive of Perfect Aim.
De-transforming is simple. Music is not involved and his human form vanishes in a cloud of pink and gold leaves blowing away in the wind.

And then, shortly after his fifteenth birthday, he ran into a strange presence in the forest. It offered him an easy way to shift to human, and to be able to fly in one simple swoop.
He had been secretly terrified of learning to fly. He had no personal powers and if he couldn't do something as simple as look human, how was he supposed to ever learn to fly? Flying was the mark of adulthood in the magical moose community.
He immediately agreed, and stuck his front hoof into a glowing golden star that just appeared in front of him to seal the deal. He would do it. He would learn to be human and fly at the same time!
