Appearance Description:
Their eyes are like a pair of opals. They sparkle and shimmer in the sunlight. They radiate beautiful colors and shapes in them, as almost everyday they change to make every experience different. Too bad no one else can see them without turning into stone. As for their hair, it is a shinning wave of burgundy on the top, which fades down into mixed of white and a sea foam green. Her hair is like long bob in the front, but then she lets her somewhat curly hair go down to just above her bum. This was not natural, but they felt as if it drew attention away from their eyes; as their hair color has changed multiple times. They stands at 5'10. Mina-Kay's body is a bit curvy, as their hips are very noticeable, as well as their stomach being a bit plump. Their chest isn't very large, having a B cup. For clothes, they like to dress very vibrantly. They do this to attract attention away from their eyes and to their clothes, in hopes of distracting people.

Personality Description:
Quiet: Mina-Kay is not all that talkative, as they feel as if they have to hide behind their appearance, making it harder for them to express themselves. When they talk, they usually look down, even went talking to people, to avoid eye contact. They tend not to say long sentences when they does eventually talk. They also prefers short answers as they doesn't like to waste people's time on them.

Fun loving: Even though Mina-Kay is closed off with other people, they enjoy to do many activities on their own. Taking long walks on the beach, going rock climbing, swimming in the ocean; they enjoy these things because they know that they will not disrupt or hurt someone else. They love to laugh and experience new and exciting things.

Family-Oriented: They love children, as they see them as precious and full of life. As they once had a family, they love the thought of children around them, or even being able to help them. Though Mia-Kay vows never to have their own children, the thought of adopting, especially a power welding one from their being on the island, intrigues them greatly.

Self conscious: Ever since they were a little girl, it seemed that they had always had problems viewing themselves in a good light. Whether it was due to their looks, wardrobe or how their students viewed them, there always seemed to be something up. Even after being on the island for such a long time, there had not been someone to really bring them out of their shell; to be okay with their very deadly power.

Powers:
Demi-God
Due to Mina-Kay having Greek God blood in their, they was given abilities.

Petrification
Sadly, whenever someone stares into their eyes, they turn into stone. It is a sad fate that has fallen over them, and will be given to any biological female they has in the future. If they do have a daughter, this will be the only person that they can look at without them turning into stone, as the effects cancel each other out. So far, they have not found any way to reverse their effects of the power, which causes them to always be in fear of turning strangers, or people they care about into stone. Thankfully, this process has to be in direct contact. If they is wearing a thin, partly see through piece of material, the effects become null. Even with this, they choose not to stare anyone in the eyes, or even look at their face if they can help it. It is hard for people to not want to look into their eyes, as their eyes are like opals, but they change and swift constantly. The colors swirl around in their eyes like currents of beauty. They wears a gray French silk veil over the top part of their face; from their hairline to the tip of their nose.

Species Abilities:
Ageless Beauty
After they hit the age of 20, their body physically stopped changing. They will, until they die of other causes, look youthful, as their age is not hindered their appearance. This does not make them immortal, as they can die just as easily as a human.

Medusa's curse
This curse is given to any daughter that Mina-Kay ever has. It gives them all the same abilities as their mother before them, with each offspring becoming more and more beautiful. Thankfully, over the centuries and generations, the females have lost their snake hair, favoring undeniable beauty, no matter what. Her mother's blood line has carried this ever since Greek times, affecting only the women of the family.

Biography:
They were born into a wealthy family. Their father was a Greek mythologist, studying the roots of all the family trees of the Greek gods. He only loved his work because he wanted to know of his wife's past. Millia, Mina-Kay's mother, is the reincarnation of Medusa. Mina-Kay's childhood was very, reserved. Growing up in the middle of the 20th century, there was a certain way that Mina-Kay had to act. They were very conservative, as her mother told them that it was best if they didn't look at people straight on. They never understood this, as their brothers were able to look at whoever they wanted.

Once she got old enough for school, their mother home schooled them, as their dad worked at a local college. It was hard, but they was happy whenever they looked up to see their mom staring at them and smiling. She had beautiful eyes, like a cosmos of beauty that was very hard to look away from. It seemed that their mother always wore very flashy clothes, as she said that it made people focus on that rather than her eyes.

Their first few years of life were very good and happy, even though they felt sheltered. Their brothers were always kind to them, giving them presents and playing games with them when they wore their veil. Their happiness was cut short. The first day that their mother wasn't there for their homeschooling, they started to worry. Their older brother was worried too, but paid no mind to it. They found out later, that she was captured by the police for her suspicious attire, which ended in the entire police force of their town being turned into stone.

After this, Mina-Kay was devastated, as the only person they got to truly interact with was now, in solitary confinement. They wanted to run away, to get rid of this crazy power so that they could live a normal, happy life. Mina-Kay hated the idea of turning someone into stone, as they now knew was the cause of their eyes. Their father and brothers promised to help them, which meant that they moved, laying low for about 2 years before it was too much for them to bare. For their 12th birthday, they asked their father and brothers to leave them, to go off and have a happy life and they would turn themselves in.

Of course they refused them, but they felt so hurt that they didn't want to follow through. They asked for days and days, until their father had enough. He took them by the shoulders, shaking their body violently. "How could I know my own daughter? How could I ever harm you?" He said, but by the time he had stopped talking, it was too late. Their veil had lifted from the shaking, exposing their opal eyes to his own bright blue ones. For a second, their different eyes met, before his slowly turned into gray, followed by the rest of his body. For a few seconds, Mina-Kay stared at their once father dead in his stone eyes, shocked by what this curse of a power had given them.

Before they knew it, their two brothers were in tears, their older brother charging at them. They looked up and raised their arms to protect themselves, but there was nothing coming. Another one of the people they loved as now nothing more than stone. They covered their eyes in fear as the tears came. Their younger brother ran away in fear of them, not wanting to be around someone like them. It seemed like forever until they had gotten up from their curled up position. Even then, they gasped at how lifeless their families' faces looked. There was something about them, some hurt in their eyes that Mina-Kay would never be able to ask about. Did it hurt when they turned them into stone? Did they feel anything? Where did their souls go? They had so many questions, but no one to answer them.

Once they had started to walk, it wasn't long until the police took them in. After many rows of questioning, it seemed as if all they cared about was how they could use them to get secrets and information from their mother. As much as they wanted to see their mother, their mission to tell the truth was cut short. Out of nowhere, two people got them out of interrogation. Afterwards, they told them that due to their powers and the news of it, that they would be taking them away someplace, to where they could study and learn on how to control their misfortune powers.
