Coatzin grew worried when she noticed the speed of the Frisbee, she knew that she crossed the line and couldn’t help but feel worried about her new friend. She held her breath for a while before the Frisbee went straight through him. At the beginning it made her feel confused, but right after she grew interested “Cool!!!” She got ready once more, looking at the Frisbee.

She closed her wings, letting herself go in free-fall until she reached the frisbee’s height, catching it with her tail once more. This time she was more careful, so instead of spinning and using her tail as a whip to throw it at him, she just used its strength as well as a bit of momentum to throw it back at her friend. Unlike the last time, the Frisbee glided calmly through the air at a lot more safe speed. Fast? Indeed. Fast enough to do some serious harm if hit? Not anymore “By the way, I forgot to ask your name! I’m Coatzin!” She cheerfully introduced herself, her eyes glued to the Frisbee.

[Lochlann--> Le-kzen Ta'driz ]

Lochlann watched her swinging feet with amusement, the effect having something like hypnosis on him because he relaxed a little and leaned back against the tree.

"That's great. Me and my brother can always use more friends. We don't know anyone from the surface at all, to be honest....It's pretty good so far. We're still getting used to the sunlight. It's so bright here. I don't know how any of you people could stand it. Other than that, we've been making friends. We found a nice guy that did magic tricks a few days ago."

Lochlann laughed. "Trust me, I don't know how we handle the sun, either. You are from the Underdark then? I don't know many other drow, so I never really got to ask what it's like to live down there. I fell in a cave, once, and that was pretty....different."

He'd sprained his ankle and almost eaten his girlfriend after falling in the cave so there was that.

"You know, as one friend to another, can I offer some friendly advice? I don't think you need another drink. I think what you need is a good meal and maybe some coffee. They have a nice picnic over there. Do you want me to get us some food?"

"It's not that I need another drink, just that it's the only cure for these headaches," Lochlann said. He didn't really want to eat--he wanted to drink, but that wasn't possible. If he was being honest, he couldn't really remember the last time he had eaten. "But food would probably be a good idea. I'll come with you."

He pulled himself to his feet, his one leg a little wobbly at first, and then offered Zen a hand.

[ Amphios ]

Amphios watched as the man on the ground seemed to lay there for a long moment before he rolled over and addressed him.

At least he thought he was addressing him. He wasn't sure exactly what 'straight to the kokoro' was supposed to mean. Oh well. He supposed it was just one of those things he would never understand. Like those weird pictures of the frog. And those pictures with cats and misspelled words.

What were they called?

Me-mes?

At the mention of vines though, his face lit up and he almost dropped everything he was holding in his excitement.

"You make vines too?" He asked, smiling up at the taller boy. "What kinds? What's your vine name?"

[ DJ ]

At the question of if he was here with his mom, Tevyntr's body turned slowly side to side before he nodded and pointed to the blanket where DJ was sitting. She had finished putting out a few juices and snacks and toys for him, but he wanted to talk to the pretty person first.

People sometimes said his mom was pretty, but this person was kinda pretty too.

"I Tebinta." He said quietly, looking at Hari expectantly. It was only polite to exchange names, after all.

Before the other person could say anything, another person came. They were definitely not the same kind of person... but maybe they were friends.

Or maybe not, if the way he walked away meant anything.

Tevyntr glanced over his shoulder at DJ before running on his little legs after his new friend whose name he didn't know.

[ Dyshelle ]

The sweets witch had just gotten to the part where the main character's father forbade her from seeing her multi-ethnic partner and was starting to get the vaguest hints of ineptly done social commentary when she noticed that she was being addressed.

She looked up from her book and smiled. She'd seen Cabel around the school, though she'd never had him in one of her classes.

"I certainly am!" Dyshelle said and gestured to her goods. "Help yourself. No charge at all my dear."

[Adelene >> Allan and Eph]

Adelene was actually happy to see Allan around. One reason was that they were both awkward around crowds like this, and another was that she loved seeing him try going out. She just met Eph, but she was already glad she could introduce her to him.

And the lizard things were indeed interesting.

"Awesome." She clapped her hands together. "Maybe we should move away from this table since we're crowding up. Don't you think? Let's grab some noms and go somewhere."

As she suggested that, she already grabbed a big bowl and placed different kinds of cookies in it. And also some cupcakes, since they looked delicious and she hasn't tried them yet. And then she took another bowl, and placed chips in it. Mostly barbecue flavor or the spicy ones.

Joker grinned. "No shit? Finally, someone else that understands. My phone's next to that goth lady over there. Come on."

He walked over to where Thorn was sitting. Thorn was on her second cigarette... this hour. How many has she smoked today? More importantly, should she care?

"Phone please."

Thorn raised an eyebrow, pulled out Joker's phone from her purse and threw it in the air. Joker made an annoyed grunt before catching it perfectly in his hand.

He opened the screen lock to reveal his Pepe wallpaper, and then he went to his vine account. He handed his phone to Amphy. "Boom. Redhotchillipepes."

His latest vine had him walking around downtown as the 2009 hit meme "Cool Guy." It was an assortment of parkour stunts, arson and surrealist blast from the past memes.

"You mean you never really get used to that thing up there?" She sighed. "I thought it was going to be one of those things you get used to with practice, but apparently not."

"Admittedly, I haven't been doing much practicing," Lochlann said, following her to the picnic basket. She had a skip to her step that made Lochlann want to look at her butt, though he managed not to.

"And yeah, we came from the Underdark..The reason why you don't see many drows is because drows hate the surface. My brother and I came up here for... personal reasons."

"That's as good as a reason as any to end up here," Lochlann said. He didn't press for more information, respecting her privacy on the matter as best he could. "I met a drow at the other school I attended, inbetween my time here. He taught chemistry, I think, and it was a night class. He didn't talk about it too much."

"I don't think that's a foolproof method to get rid of your hangover, Loch. I think you need to put up with it for a day and stop drinking so much. My brother and I always bring painkillers. We can give you some if it gets worse."

"Thanks, but all be alright," Lochlann said. "The pills don't stop the shaking and it's so much harder to sleep. Besides--woah, that's a lot of food. Jesus christ where do you even start?"

Coatzin
At the beginning Coatzin tried to follow the Frisbee as it moved through the air, but she soon noticed that doing this would only make her feel a bit dizzy. She instead went into a neutral position, now only following the Frisbee until it was within her reach, predicting her movements to grab it with her right hand before throwing it back at him. She never thought that playing Frisbee would be so fun.

“Yeah, I’m pretty new around here. I came to the picnic to meet new people” She did a couple of playful backflips while she waited for Stefan to catch the Frisbee.

Argya
Ok, time to go to her first school activity. Argya couldn’t help but wonder who was going to go and how it was going to be. She really didn’t knew what to expect, and obviously couldn’t tell if this was going to be fun or just a darn boring experience. She walked out of her room and stretched her wings, allowing herself to return to her usual size now that she was out of the small space of said room.

She flew towards the meeting place, still trying to decide if going was going to be worth it or just a huge mistake. Even in her true form she was wearing a couple of things that fit her personality. She landed on the park before transforming into her human form, not exactly to interact with other people, but to be able to play her guitar, since in her true for it could be a bit hard to do so.

She leaned against a nearby tree and pulled her electric guitar from behind of her back, starting to try out some new notes, making up a new song on her mind from scratch.

Eph > Allan & Adelene

"If we do, can we - let's just stay away from anywhere like a pond... too many bugs there. It's good for me but, uh, not really for anyone else." Hurriedly she took three bowls of food - one filled with fruit, another with assorted chips, and the smallest one, filled with nothing but different puddles of dips for those chips held aloft on her tail.

It was nice what Adelene said though - Eph was more used to confused stares than positive comments regarding her name. Or her, in general. It was understandable, as she was a lizard, but it still got annoying at times.

"What brings you guys here?" she asked, carefully balancing the three bowls of food while waiting on someone to lead. "I mean, like - here to the academy, but if it's a bit too personal, eh, uh, that's cool."

Oh, man. She was really late.

Coral had agreed to meet up with Joker and Thorn earlier at the picnic but she just had to be caught up with thinking and doing another monologue at the dorm that she missed the time. She wonders how long had those two been waiting at the picnic. It took her a while to look for them because of the number of people in in the yard but she eventually found them with a guest. ..A faun? She remembers that's what they were called. (She was about 80% sure she identified right.) More than that, Joker looked like a mess. (Did he just fall from somewhere?!). For the most part, she has no idea what she walked into.

"Er... did... I miss anything?"

==> Allan > Adelene & Eph

Adelene seemed really fascinated with Eph so Allan decided he didn't want to poke at her with probably racist questions. The way he remembered lizard people is that they were savage but Eph didn't look like she had that kind of upbringing. He decided to forget about interrogating and went along with Adelene.

He let out a soft laugh at her saying "noms". Adelene really sounded adorably childish half the time. "Yeah, you're probably right," Allan looked over the table and decided to get a plate of chips and some dip to go with it. He wasn't particularly hungry anyway. "I don't think you need to worry about that, Eph. We could... go find a tree for shade?" He doesn't even sound so sure about his own suggestion. Nonetheless, he led the way.

What brings you guys here? Eph asked them. The response he gave came just as quickly, "Well, my parents... sort of figured it'd do me better if I was in this kind of school. Powers sort of thing. ....You though?"

He turns to Eph curiously. He didn't really want to make her feel excluded so he picked on of the questions he's had in his head since Adelene introduced her, "So um... Eph... where... did you come from?" he made a pause before continuing, "I'm just a bit curious, that's all...!"

==> Tucker & Tamara

Tucker could not, for the life of him, understand why Tamara had been so psyched about the picnic at the park. He knew she liked company but to drag him out here was just beyond him. He had always thought Tamara was the independent social butterfly but it seemed he was wrong.

While Tucker stood in the shade of a tree, a book in hand, Tamara had been the one to set up their picnic area. She also took the liberty of making their own sandwiches and croquettes for the picnic. Tucker, didn't have plans to even appear in outside the school because he'd planned to try the library for books he had not seen and yet it seemed he had missed the memo that Tamara had plans.

Tucker saw Tamara waving excitedly at him, jumping about, when he lowered his book. She was probably done. Prying himself off the tree trunk, he walked to Tamara, "Remind me again, why you refused to let me stay in the library, Tamara," he said dully.

Tamara was quick and typed on her tablet, "Reading is boring!! Picnics are more fun!!" As soon as Tucker finished reading, Tamara replaced the text with "Plus I demand father-daughter time! It's not fair!! You've been away for the past 5 years!!"

Tucker sighed in defeat. He knew it was about this again. It still surprised him how Tamara sees him as a father figure of all things.

Eph >> Adelene & Allan

Allan's question and quick follow up to said question felt almost defensive, afraid to offend. It was obvious why; not everyone was accustomed to dealing with a lizard in any way other than slapping it with a newspaper. A frown formed on her face. "Why do you wanna know?" she asked, her voice serious and almost angry for a while. Then she began to laugh and smile, though to observers it may have sounded more akin to an asthmatic episode.

"Foster mom sent me here before she croaked. She was a nice lady, yeah, even if she was kinda weird. I mean - well, uh, she went to live by the forest and picked me up for no real reason, which was nice for me, but still, who does that? She taught me magic though and sent me here like... uh, almost ten years ago?" Eph quickly tucked one bowl into her elbow and began to count with the freed - up fingers. She was beginning to feel comfortable around these people, and she started to ramble and ramble, but for as long as no one objected, she was fine with that.

"Anyway. I guess being here was basically an... accident? I mean, I'd never be here if mommy Millia didn't randomly choose to settle near where En and I was. Oh, En's my dad of sorts, by the way. He's a tree. Y - yeah."
