She had asked the question, she could feel the storm. "Yeah I can feel the storm. I am the storm." she pounded on her chest powerfully. She was The Storm Feeler, and someone here was feeling her storm.

But Strom Feeler had run out of things to say, she was silent for awhile, this was awkward. "So uhm... what kind of things do you like to do?"

Shattered Silver Mask

He'd never done anything like this. Certainly not dressed like this - no, he had definitely never worn something like this before. He'd intentionally skipped his high school graduation party. No one was going to get him to dress up for that.

He had never worn a tuxedo before at all, and yet here he was, hanging at the edge of the party, feeling like he was hours late and yet things had probably barely begun to pick up. He felt too obvious, wearing this glossy silver jacket and pants. He might as well have been a mirror. It was what he'd been offered though, and the vividly purple tie (which yes, he had had to google in order to tie, and it had still taken seventeen tries to get it satisfactory) did make his eyes seem violet.

Deep breaths. He had decided he was going to do this, and so he would, regardless of who saw him or recognized him - not that he had been here long enough for anyone to really recognize him. Regardless of who saw him and knew instantly that he wasn't - well, a him. It was a masquerade, though, wasn't it? The point was to dress up, to disguise. Surely dressing up as a man fit within those bounds... right?

Tan skin flushed beneath his nearly-full mask, just fragments of his forehead on the right and his chin on the left clear between the snowflake-scale mirror shards, he swallowed one more time and stepped more decisively.

He could do this. Fire in the heart and all that.

Man, he wasn't one to drink but he might just start tonight.

You know what, no.

No.

He'd had enough, he had.

... but if he walked out of those doors again now, he would know he had wimped out. He'd know that truth. He had to stay, if only for a few more minutes. He dragged his gaze away from the entrance, shifting nervously. Everyone was already talking to someone else. Guys in tuxes, girls in dresses - and one girl in a tux. No, this wasn't going to work. He had to go.

It hadn't even been five minutes, though, had it? His watch, a quietly rugged, loudly purple, and entirely unmagical thing, might not have suited his formal attire but he had refused to go out without some way of measuring the time. It had been, ostensibly, to know when it was getting too late to stay; in reality, it was to know when it was getting late enough to leave.

"Ye look just like a princess."

"Thank you," she said softly, barely audible over the sound of the music and the chattering of all the other guests. This night was already going well, with a dashing man who almost reminded her of a prince asking her for a dance. Nervously, she swallowed and followed him to the dance floor, the sound of her heels feeling uncomfortably loud to her nervous ears.

She let him get into a dancing position--a hand on her waist, her hand in his, one gloved hand on his shoulder--when he informed her that he wasn't really sure how to dance.

This revelation threw her for a such a loop that she started laughing right there.

It wasn't a cruel, derogatory laughter--it was light and somewhat silly sounding, almost sounding like the tinkering of small bells.

"I--ahem!--I'm sorry. I'm not much of a dancer myself I'm afraid... but it can't be too hard to just spin slowly around the dance floor, can it?"

If they weren't mid-dance at that moment, the man would have probably comedically swooned at the comment that he would be assailed by suitors. The idea of a troupe of guys dropping onto one knee and holding out bouquets of expensive roses in the hopes of procuring his eternal favor or hand in marriage was a hilarious one.

"Somehow I doubt I'm gonna have a conga line of potential boyfriends at the end of the night," he said with a laugh.

"You're mask is pretty handsome yourself," he smirked. Or, as much of a smirk as could be made out by his obscuring mask. "I swoon to wonder what you might be hidin' under there."

Kaya shortly after finishing up her drink had her mask reform to a full mask. She didn't see any of her friends walking around or well... she didn't know if anyone here was any way but seeing as how she basically came to talk to them and see how they would react to her mask. She could see plenty of couples talking, seeing them made her remember Henry which made her feel something tightening in her chest as she began to walk around the edge of the room looking at people's feet.

Wonder if I could make it up to him. She said as she reached the door to the room. She felt a tear roll down her cheek, she put a hand up to her cheek. putting her hand near the mask it fazed away and she wiped away the tear. She still felt the tightness in her chest as her thoughts were still on Henry.

Wooden gold mask with antlers and leaves, embellished with a large fire opal

Hands slipped upon her hips. A voice, muffled by a mask, became obvious in a matter of seconds. Softly, she turned around, just as he apologized for his tardiness. But there was nothing to apologize for. So long as he was here now nothing else mattered. Now, the night could really begin....

"Good evening... Stranger." The woman almost purred out under her breath, a warm chuckle escaping her lips. She knew just who this was however. It was him. The man she... Wow. It was still surreal to think of what they had become. After all the turmoil and hesitance to open up to each other, they finally agreed that they were meant to be. The hidden mutuality bubbled to the surface to become an open bond. And for once... She didn't want to move. Her nomadic life was over. This life... It was only just beginning.

"I could say the same about you, my sire. You look... Fit for a king." While a bit clunky in her vernacular, the words were seeping with honesty. The hands around her arms unfolded slowly as he held his hand out. If it wasn't for the mask, she would probably be blushing. Carefully her hand too reached out. Almost nervous in demeanor. As if she was walking in glass. There was nothing to fear, she knew. Nothing at all....

"I...." The bronze eyes underneath the mask flicked up to his own. Her vine-encased hand placed on his. A smile edged into her delicate features. "Would be honored."

Black and crimson face-forming mask, carved into swirls and going down in a diagonal

As always, she could pick up his voice from a crowd of a thousand. Not because of its distinct quality- that assertive, precise tone of his- but because of their shared bond. At least, that was what she told herself. Who else mattered enough to avert her attention from many meters away. Just... Him. But this skill came with its drawbacks. As her shoulders turned to face the approaching figure, she could see even under his mask that he was not the happiest of campers.

She sighed. She knew what she was about to be in for. But could she blame him? After all he... They...

"Well hello to you too." She said in a monotone voice, joking while being a bit spiteful. Of course, she wasn't mad, but... This was going to be rough. "Look, I promise I'm not gonna do anything too reckless. Believe me, I know what's at stake. I just..." A sigh came from her lips. Her hands raised to his arms. Holding them there as she looked into his eyes. As if to emphasize the words she would say next. "I just wanted to do something with you before we have to get serious about... Things. Might have been a bit drastic but... Hey, dramatic flairs are kinda our specialty." The masked woman pointed out with another small smile. "Besides... We've been so stressed lately. Don't want you getting grey hairs by the time you turn the ripe young age of six thousand now."

She backed up a bit. Her hand held out softly. Even under the tight 'mask', it was clear her face was a little weary. But that smirk was ever present. It was there to assure him that everything would be okay. "Now, can I have this dance? I'll try not to trip and fall over this damn dress again."

him/he
For Octain. his life of solidarity, isolation and pain. All those past experiences bubbling in his mind. Were all quelled due to the women he was with. It took him a lot of strength to finally open up. He was almost glad he set off in that blizzard to find her. That he was still alive. He had found out who saved him. He couldn't thank the person enough but right now. It was his time to dance with his Queen. Leaving his spell book in his office with the rest of his attire might have been a bad idea. Though he wanted to show someone.. He could make a night magical. By being human. No magic... Just him. "How does it feel to be like me, my star?" He said. His eyes tracing over the beautiful mask. That just looked amazing. He was jealous he couldn't see her face.. but it was a Masquerade Ball after all... What happened after the ball..

They would decide.

He smiled under his mask. Softly placing where his lips would be on hers and made a kissing sound. it was the idea that was there. He could still feel her lips on his. No matter how often they were apart. His life of Isolated studying died. He had something new. Someone.. he cherished dearly.

"As long as you enjoy this my Star, your king is yours.. My queen.." He said smiling under his mask as he gently pulled her into the dance floor as she took his hand. His eyes on her. Locked into her bronze eyes. He couldn't stop thinking about how gorgeous she looked. His partner was taken onto the floor as he placed a hand on her hip. Taking hers and placing it on his hip.. Where his spell book normally was. Slowly moving their connected hands to interlocking their fingers. Slowly beginning to sway with the music before taking steps in different directions while moving in a small circle. Being gentle with the dance. He knew that it was fall and she would slowly start to become more delicate. All he had wanted.. Was one dance..

"I am so pleased that you returned, my Star"

With the girl that made him whole.

Black Mask with Green Highlights

"Someone's looking worse for wear."

A quip from a tall, slim gentleman in a fancy suit was uttered to the disgruntled chaperon. He stepped over next to the old man. His face was covered by a black mask with green highlights that matched his hair. He had on a black fedora that went with his black suit. Dressing up was normal for the male, so this was no different than any other day really. He would have considered doing something else, but he was chosen to do this job. Well, that wasn't so bad. The only downside was that he couldn't attend the charity ball. At least there he could dance; here he had to make sure the kids weren't spiking the punch bowl or blowing up chunks of the dance floor.

He slid next to the veteran. His appearance was rather young and lanky. The usual smirk graced his face. Why not chat for a bit? Of course if the mood hit, maybe he could throw in a playful jab or two. For now this was just idle chatter.

Almost as if summoning him Kaya felt a presence, feeling her heart seemingly stop in place she turned her head she saw him. It wasn't hard for her to see through his mask. Henry was over there, he looked like he was waiting for someone. Who could he be waiting for? She couldn't help but start feeling her breath become unstable and speeding up.

She felt like this before but normally she knew he wouldn't want to see her...well at least she THOUGHT he didn't want to see her. Now though during this party with the masks especially her own. Did she dare speak to him... She could FEEL her heart trying to bring her closer to him, she found her feet moving already getting her towards him.

Taking a steadying breath she moved up behind him. "Hello there, you seem to be missing something... Mind a dance?" She couldn't believe she was talking to him. Kaya felt her heart stand still as she waited for him to respond.
