So, with Fall semester coming to an end and my two-month winter break approaching, I figured it was high time I put this up and wait for interest while catching up on posts. From the beginning, one of my plot ideas included a mafia, inspired by the anime/manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I was finally able to bring my mafia Don into existence-- enter Salvatore Delfino.
If you don't want to read his sheet right this moment:
Salvatore is an illegitimate child resulting from his mafia father's affair when the man was in London for business. He hated that he'd borne a bastard child-- this hatred later intensified when the man learned that Salvatore had inherited the family power, which had skipped him--, and so immediately returned to Italy when his business was finished. As such, Salvatore's childhood was spent with his beloved mother, who, by the time he turned 19, passed away due to returning health issues caused by Salvatore's rough birth. He would've spiraled down into deep depression if it hadn't been for the murder of his father and half brothers-- Salvatore became the only blood heir of la Familia Delfino. Brought into the family business by his late father's most trusted, he was quickly taught all he needed to know to become a successful mafia boss. However, the mafia wasn't somewhere he wanted to be-- until he realized he could change it into someplace he was proud to call his own.
This brings us to the present situation. Salvatore traveled to Manta Carlos to find his 'most trusted'— inspired by the Vongola Guardians from Reborn!— to help him clean the drenched-in-blood ledger and remake the Famiglia into the vigilante-style group it was founded to be. Because I don't want there to be any issues, I'm completely open to having a broader hierarchy-- a main inner circle with others under them. I'm also open to having more than the 7 Guardians portrayed in Reborn!. Of course, it'd be cool if they're all of varying temperaments and personalities-- slightly dysfunctional is adorable— but I'm not going to be very picky.
That being said, pretty much everything aside from the main storyline-- Salvatore's past and his desire to change the mafia world, starting with his own famiglia, so it resembles the image of the 'gentleman dons' and their mafia-- is fluid depending on how those interested wish it to be.
Anything else that needs to be addressed is escaping me right now, so if anyone interested has any questions, comments, or concerns, post here~
