The annual Masquerade Ball is held in Starlight Academy's Ballroom for Middle, Highschool, and College Students, as well as Staff Chaperons and Faculty.

The Ball Room is decorated with an elegant harvest theme, complete with gourds and pumpkins at each table, and all the Hors d'oeuvre are made from freshly harvested ingredients on the Manta Carlos Islands. Mulled cider and spiced wine are available for those of age alongside delicious pumpkin juice and punch.

The attendees are all masked, resulting in a feeling of excitement and mystery at the event.

For all the time he spent grouching, Yun really wasn't antisocial. He was stressed, sure, and had a whole lot of **** going on right now. He couldn't resist something like this, though. He even went out of his way to prepare, and now he strolled into the ballroom with more than enough confidence to make up for his size.

He still walked on all fours, and still looked like a cat. There wasn't much he could do about that. He could, however, get creative with other people's magic - and he did. A small charm hung around his neck, and from it vivid flames danced across his entire body. He had strapped a few horns - actually (washed) claw trimmings from some dragon in the school - to his head and back, and they poked through the pale blue fire quite nicely.

He had even made a stereotypical little masquerade mask (with a bit of internet research), and now the masked hell-cat made a beeline for the food.

It wasn't like he could or would dance, after all.

Silver Mask with Purple Etchings

He loved parties like this.

He looked like a completely different man for tonight with his charms and glamour, his new indulgent blonde hair stylishly moussed to the side and blue eyes popping like little pieces of the sky from behind his mask. Despite his new appearance and his mask obscuring half of his face, he was a good-looking man and he knew it.

Those who might've known him would notice he still carried with him his particular air of affluence through wardrobe and posture. He made quite the handsome silhouette on the side with his fitted black Italian suit with purple linings and an obsidian tie, sipping spiced wine on the side and sporting an amused grin at everyone coming in.

Whatever problems he might've had in the real world, he happily left them behind. Those were concerns for another man. Tonight, he was another masked man in a crowd.

Golden Mask with Bronze Filigree

This night was going to be perfect, Kaya thought to herself. Her father when he had heard there was going to be a masquerade ball that was going to be happening he had pulled out of thin air a mask of complex design and of beautiful make when she had put it on it changed her to look like a beautiful woman of about 5'11" in height with wonderfully tanned skin and long legs.

In a complimentary contrast to the mask she has weaved with the shadows making a dress that had the night sky on it, the moon small and hovering around her collar bone with stars accenting most of the dress. She was certain that no one was going to recognize her this night.

When she entered the Ballroom she wandered around the room gathering eyes and even though it was still early some people wanting to dance with her. She would politely refuse them of course for she was looking around at room trying to see if she could find anyone she knew.

Gilded gold mask with checker design

Yes this is perfect, magnificent, elegant, and all the more fun for him. He had a smug grin on his face as he walked around wearing the most expensive tuxedo he could find and wore a bow tie with it. He had his jet black hair pulled back into a ponytail, tied with an emerald ribbon and a fedora to finish off his outfit. He was very much incognito as he searched the room with his eyes looking for persons of interest or some form of amusement of course it was still early and there wasn't much of anything going on just yet.

He was just another person with a mask who had found their way to the Masquerade Ball. He wandered around examining all who was here and snickered as he watch the disappointed people who was denied a dance by the woman in the night dress. He then found his way across the room near the drinks table as he got himself a glass of punch and chilled out over there. Tonight is going to be so much fun.

A crimson mask covering only her nose and eyes leaving only the lower half of her face revealed. It accented her body length black hair which was tied together with crimson and gold laced ribbons

It was a test. That's it. Yeah....

Miya had finished making her dress just in time for the event. It was a good time to test out and see whether or not this new material held the same properties as her jacket. The dress was mostly black and straight, gold and crimson along the edging that gave the picture of dancing flames. Black heels complimented the attire.

She didn't know how well she'd fit in such a place. She was afraid, anxious, and embarrassed among other emotions being in such an outfit. At such a place. With so many other people wearing such beautiful clothing and masks. She walked through the door and was instantly shocked by it all. She began to feel self conscious as she felt her body heat start to flare up. Luckily the material, and all the safety wards she placed on her body, kept the heat from dispersing. She wasn't used to dressing up so fancy like.

But for tonight, she was another faceless woman in the crowd. And what better way to be out of the way then standing near the punch bowl and out of the way. No...People would be there all night coming and going. There had to be another spot.

Miya grabbed a glass of punch and was saddened by how quickly the ice melted in her cup. She wandered off to the side almost bumping into someone as she was not paying attention, only tripping over his feet. Looking up at the golden checkered masks she looks away almost immediately.

"Oh...S-sorry..."

The black-haired young man smiled excitedly as he took in the sights and sounds of the Masquerade Ball. He had never been to such an affair, but it was called a ball, so he was expecting princess gowns with giant skirts and magic slippers.

His own costume consisted of a black bird mask, and a dark purple suit.

The leather mask covered the top half of his face, and had a small beak that partially obscured the lower half, too. The eye holes were ringed with little feather-shaped pieces of leather. Larger feather pieces were attached in layers to the top and sides. All of the feathers were engraved with detail.

His suit was double breasted, and had pointy peak lapels. It had a slim English cut, and was tailored to perfectly fit him. His shirt and shoes were black. His tie was black as well, but it had a paisley pattern that changed the texture and lighting.

Under his shirt was a small charm that made his eyes black, and hid his other most recognizable features.

The young man was a bit disappointed about the current lack of princesses. He saw women in slender dresses, and while they were very beautiful, they weren't what he was looking for right now. His gaze passed over the crowd again to look for a charming prince instead. Two men caught his eye. One of them was being tripped over.

He laughed as he watched the flustered girl, and made no effort to hide it.

The Silver Maiden

A woman walked into the room, a bright smile on her face. Her light blue eyes were highlighted beautifully by the silver mask covering her eyes, a few metallic feathers framing the edges. Her hair was kept in a bun with a pair of similar metal feather pins. Her dress was a similar color, a sparkling silver fabric that highlighted the woman's pear shaped curves.

She looked around, adjusting the mask on her face, before moving over to the refreshments table to get some wine. If anyone would want to talk to this...Silver Maiden, now would be the time.

A simple white mask, with Comedy's face etched one one half and Tragedy's on the other. His hair has been temporarily dyed blood red.

Tristan had never been to a masquerade before. He had always wanted to attend one, but it wasn't as if they were an everyday occurrence. Besides, even if he had found one, he never would have been able to afford the outfit and mask. Now, however, it seemed he had all the money he could need. Seems having ghosts that can help you with work comes in handy after all, he thought with a grin. Of course, he didn't earn enough from his odd jobs to afford anything fancy.

His simple black suit was cheap, that much was obvious. Especially in the company of such blowhards expensive looking tuxedos. His mask looked even more simplistic, with no real shine and glamour to it. Of course, Tristan wouldn't have traded the mask for any that the other guys were wearing. Its simplicity and duality is what drew him to it. On top of that, the blank white went well with his uncovered eyes, pure black on Comedy's side, sad blue on Tragedy's. So far as the boy was concerned, he couldn't have bought better with a million dollars.

He didn't try to bother with seeing if he knew anyone. He had only met a few people, and with the masks and magic it would be pointless to even guess. Besides, if he knew people, they could potentially recognize him. Tristan didn't want that. He was here to relax without being known.

As such, he started to head over to the food.

Golden Flowerfall

She felt a tad overdone, but nothing made her happier than the anonymity of the affair. It didn't feel like silent judgement, for she very much doubted that anyone would recognize her. Her makeup was done and her lips were done nude with a black matte heart over her cupid's bow. Her dress was long, so long that she had to pick it up to keep from stepping on it, which revealed shoes with a relatively small heel, decorated with faux flowers made of china. The dress itself was multi-layered green on top draped between applied black flowers made of feathers and beads. The green stopped at about her knees, and underneath the dress continued into a sea of black tulle , decorated with intermittent rhinestones that reminded her of the night sky. It fit well on her bodice, and opened wide at the waist with sheer back fabric along her arms, and it laced up at the back, but she was pretty sure that was only for decoration.

Her mask was a gold half-face filigree, which departed from her face in elegant waves and curls. It was further decorated with green accents and a personally added touch of a woven curtain of flowers over her hair, kept in place with magic.

A deep breath.

She picked up her dress and walked into the ball proper, glancing at all the people she knew were her classmates, but she couldn't tell who was who. It made her nervous. It excited her.

The woman smoothed out her dress and walked over to the refreshments to get something to drink. As she approached, she noticed a woman decked out in Silver. Deep breath, she walked closer. "Hello," she said. "You look lovely."
