Personality Description: Miya is rather straight forward. She tends to tell people what she thinks and apologizes if it looked like she went too far. With that said she also is rather caring of people and tends to be nice to complete strangers but when you betray that kindness she returns the same. All in all rather easy to approach because of her time as an orphan.
Powers:
Strong: Miya has a vast amount of control of flames. While afraid, she also isn't afraid to use them to defend herself or others if she needs to. She has gained more confidence over the years and her control still isn't complete though as she fears the very power she is able to use. While she has a vast control, she also can harm herself if she loses control of focus.
Her control is strong enough she can produce various weapons through the flames, the most common being an axe which she has dubbed Infernox. This helps her keep focus on something so she can concintritate on her flames.
Miya's more defensive with her flames but can use them offensively just as easily. She can form simple fireballs and launch them with an explosive force, make a wall of fire or a shield to protect herself, and can focus her fire into pillars that reach skyward with the width varying. Her largest and most dangerous "spell" she can preform is creating a giant fireball nearly the size of a football stadium.
However she has only done this once just to see how much she can focus and control such a large concertration of fire. It ended badly and gave her the burn scars over her body, mostly on her right arm, her legs, and various burn marks all over her body.
The biggest weakness to Miya's flames is water and the wind. Water can put out of diminish the power of her flames depending on how focused she is. Wind itself can make her flames vastly stronger and cause her to lose control very easily. A light breeze is nothing but a strong gust of wind can breath more life into her inferno.
Weak: Fire Resistance - Miya's control over flames have made her extremely resistant to nearly all fire sources. However she can be burned and harmed by her own flame sources if she is not careful.
Natural Heat - Miya's body has a naturally high body temperature that she has to keep under control. It also makes freezing her extremely difficult. However she can also overheat herself and fall ill but that takes a complete loss of focus for that to happen.
Magical Resistant - Next to her fire resistance, Miya also has a natural resistance and able to withstand magic-based spells to a greater degree then most others.
High Endurance - Miya is highly durable as shown from surviving what was considered close to a supernova going off and when she was a hcild walking away from a brutal car crash with mostly cuts and scrapes on her body. However she is just like any other person in the regards of most wounds still taking effect. She just has a higher tolerance to dealing with it.

Discovered how: Miya's foster parents at the time ended up in a car accident and Miya survived and they didn't. Overwhelmed with greif she continued to cry as fire engulfed the area.

Childhood: Miya spent most of her time in an orphanage. Her attitude growing up combined with her strictly refusing to leave with those who took interest in her made her a child who wasn't exactly brought out as a good child for new parents looking to adopt. It wasn't till Miya was 13 that she became a problem.
Teenage years: Age 13 was a life changer for Miya when she discovered her powers. She had been adopted by a couple who Miya accepted and was happy with, finding both her love of sewing and playing the piano within the few years she was with them.
After an family dinner out while driving home her foster's parent's car was hit by a drunk driver and total the car. Miya woke up only to see her parents unmoving. With her seatbelt undone Miya crawled over to her mother and shook her. And continued to shake her to no avail. Miya called out her name and then her foster father's but both were killed in the crash. Sirens filled the air at the emergency vehicles moving towards the scene, with the drunk driver stumbling out of his car and sitting down nearby on the ground. Anger rose within her at seeing the man barely injured with both her parents were dead and her own injuries causing her pain. Out of no where fire began to arise from thin air as Miya focused all her rage at the drunk driver. Miya screamed at the drunk driver and a two mile radius was instantly covered in flames.
Fire fighters put the flames out after a few hours only to find Miya and the bodies of her parents untouched by the fire with the drunk burned to a chrisp, a small circle of fire still surrounding an unconcious Miya. From there Miya was taken away and not returned to the orphanage or the foster system, instead taken in by the fire cheif until she was sent off to Starlight.
Miya has resided in the area since she was 15, still under watch till she controls her powers. Ever since she burned the man alive, his screams continue to haunt her dreams which have made her deathly afraid of her powers over fire, burn marks over her arms and legs surving as reminder to what she was capable of doing.
