Rhu's faltering expression flipped right back around to sweet excitement as he felt Rich's lips on his cheek. Soft, so soft and warm. He turned his head, too slow to catch Rich but surprised to see him scooting closer.

"Phase one?" Rich was planning an entire mission? Rhu was making this all up on the spot, flying by the seat of his pants, purely improvising. There was no guidebook or standard operate procedures here - or if there was, Rhu had probably used it to even a table out or as a door stop or for paper airplanes.

"Awwww, sleepy kitten," Rhu purred, throat actually vibrating with a near-purr. Not a true purr, since he probably didn't have any feline kicking around in his veins, but a rumbly vibration nonetheless. It only lasted for a breath, but then it would have failed as much as his breath when Rich leaned against him.

One try, two tries, three tries. ""What's phase two?" That was more like it, lungs.

His skin felt so warm where Rich touched him, never mind where Rich kissed him, and he grinned back through a very pleasant emotional haze.

Why did it feel like the bunnyfox was playing him like a fiddle?

Why was he bothering to ask himself? He was as okay with it as Rich was good at playing him.

Heeeeeeee wasn't expecting the mention of dinner, though. He blinked a few times, head still tilted so he could kind of look at the insanely cute controlled fluff on his shoulder. And then blinked some more.

"Where do you want to go for dinner?" That seemed like a nice, safe, agreeable answer. Rhu would even spend more than his month's budget for pleasantries on the one meal if Rich wanted. He'd definitely offer, and mean it. The fluff.

Where did he want to go? Rhu might have grown up in Manta Carlos, but honestly most of the places he went to were either cheap fast food joints or bars. He wasn't going to invite Rich to a bar; he'd be beating people off with a spiked bat covered in too much cologne in each hand.

No, he'd have to think of somewhere el-————————————

Nuzzling oh god his heart felt like it was about to explode and rampage through the streets leaving little rainbow footprints as it skipped about in joy.

While words continued to fail his poor distractible brain, Rhu nuzzled Rich back, buried in the scent of mango and bunnfyfox and very very sure that any food he ordered, regardless of restaurant, wouldn't be half as delicious.

OH!

"There's a cool new place a few blocks away from here," Rhu abruptly remembered. "I'm not sure what exactly they have there but there's a fox in their banner."

Rhu beamed, pleased that Rich approved so far. "If you don't like the look of it, we can try other places too," he said quickly, just trying to make things perfect for Rich. "I don't eat out super often so I don't have a list going of awesome places to hav- to have dinner at."

Should he call it a date? He super wanted it to be a date, and continue the kissing.

................They were going to go now? Rhu teleported to his feet and around the room, appearing in brief flashes to pick up kittens and place them in their appropriate cages with astounding accuracy and speed. Flickers of sheep here, flickers of sheep there, all too quick to count and fall asleep!

In very short order, all the cats were back in their temporary homes and Rhu was wobbling where he stood, dizzy from so much bouncing around and facing every possible direction - he'd had to fish out one kitten from underneath the bottom cages - but he recovered pretty quickly.
