Name: Coke Hackworth
Age:20 21
Birthday: 11/11
Gender: Male (He/His)
Species: Goblin
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: Sophomore
College Major: Theater Tech with a Minor in Painting
Appearance Description:
Coke stands at about 3'4", a few inches shorter than his sister. He isn't as lean as most goblins are, having a pretty decent amount of muscle tone due to his years as a theater techie. His skin, much like his sisters, is a dark green. Cokes skin does have some patches of mottled brown skin as well.
His face is very similar to his sisters, having the same style of button nose as her, as well as pointed ears typical of the goblin race.
His hair is cut short, and is a cerulean blue. His eyes are big, and sky blue.
He generally wears a pair of camouflage military fatigues, as well as a white tank top and combat boots. His tank top is generally stained with paint.
Personality Description:
Coke is rather soft-spoken when compared with his sister. He prefers to use hand gestures and body language to communicate simple ideas, but has no problem with simply explaining what he is trying to accomplish if he realizes it's a futile task.
He is used to his sisters shenanigans, and does make a concerted effort to at least try to keep her away from things she can do damage with, like alcohol.
Especially Alcohol.
He has a remarkable work ethic, getting tasks done quickly and efficiently, and attempting to make his work as perfect as he can do it. He's become very skilled with not only his powers, but with painting and shaping things with his hands directly, and he takes great pride in the things he builds. He can anger quickly when his work is purposefully destroyed or tampered with, which usually ends with him sicking his sister on them, if they're lucky. He has an excellent memory and can hold a grudge.
Even though he is generally quiet, Coke can get quite flirty when the situation arises, comparing those he is attempting to woo with works of great art, or creating small wooden statues as gifts. This very rarely happens however.
Powers:
The Crafters Touch:
Coke can manipulate wood. He can't do it to living wood, such as trees, but things like logs and wooden planks he can mess with at his discretion. He can't destroy or create mass, so a plank that has a certain amount of mass will always that mass.
He can do it mentally, and is rather skilled at this. He can set things to simple tasks, such as a wooden dowel raising and lowering over and over to paint a board, without much thought.
The more complicated the thing he tries to make his powers do, the more mental strain he has. Its another reason he doesn't talk much, his concentration is on his power.
Biography:
Coke and his twin sister Rum both grew up on a secret military testing ground. A joint operation between graduates of Starlight Academy who left Manta Carlos and governmental forces, the purpose of the base was to train soldiers who were gifted, along with select special forces in combat against the ever-present threat of empowered enemy forces.
He always had an interest in the stage, watching recordings of stage productions and musicals from a very young age, reading scripts ever since he could read. He vaguely recalls coming across videos recordings of high school and college productions, and becoming fascinated with the set designs.
He was a constant sight around the junkyards, looking for scrapped wood and parts he could use, putting on his own small one-goblin shows in the soldiers rec-room, painting all his sets by himself.
He discovered that he could manipulate wood the way he did when he was attempting to create a tree for one of his shows, trying to keep a pair of planks connected, when they suddenly fused together. After some practice, he found that he had an excellent ability for his shows, making his sets melt into one another and rise up as needed.
His life changed when he was about 18, having been home-schooled by tutors on the base for his high-school career, and starting college courses online. His father became very ill, and eventually passed away a year later.
He moved to Manta Carlos along with his sister, enrolling in Starlight Academy. As the boat that carried them approached the island, he idly thought of how the theater department was, and if they were looking for any spare hands.
At the very least, he hoped they offered wood shop.
