[Paradox >> Axle]

"Heh. You're not so bad, not so obvious. But I'm observant. Yours is the only unfamiliar face to me around here." Paradox was amused. He liked the vibe he was feeling around the new comer, and couldn't help but want to know more. He held out his hand to shake, and used the other one to raise his sunglasses up to his hair, so his gray eyes were revealed.

Way to go looking so cool, it hurt like hell. Alec was going to kill him if the guy wakes up here.

"I'm Alec--" That was true, to an extent. He was in Alec's body after all, and has always been literally one with him. "--Nice to meet ya. You look really good yourself, ya know?" he grinned. "I don't really spit fire though. I'm a night person. And the cold is much nicer to me. I just really wanted to hang out in the morning for a change."

Paradox, er... Alec, went to Axle's side and looked around. Everyone seemed to be having fun, but everyone has their own world somewhere. He hummed thoughtfully. What should they do?

"Hey, anything you enjoy doing?" he asked Axle. A suggestion would be a good start for doing something fun.

So he wasn't that obvious. Which was good, all things considered. However from the word choices he used it seemed that this guy got around alot and probably could connect Axle to some other people later down the road. As he shook his hand, Axle lowered his shades down his nose and glanced at Alec's face. His eyes looked really cool. Everything about his Alec person impressed Axle greatly.

Well at least he had one thing in common. The night was awesome. Though Axle used it mostly for sleeping and to gather energy. But still that was cool!

Any further thought of connections was cancelled by the voice of Alec. "Huh? I mean I like working out I guess. Sleeping also is awesome. Though I generally don't label things as liked and disliked."

"Oh! But I got this." Axle dug into his back pocket to pull out a small hacky sack. "Not the best at it, but it helps me when I get bored of crap. Wanna' try it?" Handing it over to Alec, Axle smirked. In truth it was a game he played often during down time. Waiting in line, just standing around. He then realized his life had a lot of waiting moments. Interesting him to a degree about just how much time a person spent just standing around. Questions for later, he thought.

"Oh cool, a hacky sack!" Paradox brought down his sunglasses again before he gladly took the hacky sack and immediately tried it out. Without the shades, he had no chance of hitting the small thing, since everything would be too painful for him to look at that way.

He threw it in the air, and then caught it with his right knee, and then left, and then right foot, and then caught it with his right hand, stopping the trial play. He returned Axle's grin with his own excited one.

"Hey, I have an idea. Steal this from me while I do the usual hacky sack game, and I'll try to do the same once you have it. It's fun to get the body moving before grabbing something to eat, don't you think?" Paradox chuckled. "Honestly though, I haven't slept at all, so I might be a bit slow. Should be sleeping right now, but I didn't want to miss this awesome picnic."

Coatzin immediately decided to use her tail over her hands to catch the Frisbee, since having the protection of feathers and scales over bare skin could come in handy at the speed that the Frisbee was getting as it flew towards her. She allowed herself to spin a bit as the tail wrapped itself around the Frisbee, forcing her to whimper a bit. She looked at her tail once the Frisbee stopped spinning, it even managed to pluck a couple of her rainbow feathers, which now were either falling to the ground gracefully or on top of the Frisbee. She didn’t really minded though, they would just grow back.

“Let’s make this a bit more interesting” She threw the Frisbee towards him, using her light manipulation powers. Instead of hiding it, she made the light make two identical images of the Frisbee as soon as she let go of it “Which one is the real one? Pick fast!” Even if the light made the mirror Frisbees look identical to the real one, these would vanish with the smallest contact, now it was up to Stefan to pick the right one.

Great. Sunshine.

Wasn't she supposed to be frolicking, or something? Instead, she was sitting up in a tree, with sunglasses and a straw hat, watching the picnic from a comfortable distance. It's a shame she didn't bring a book.

She shifted to get more comfortable, but managed to slip off the branch. She caught herself in time, teleporting herself onto her feet and on the ground, but not before making a disturbing screech in shock.

Oops.

Ah, picnics. If there was any way to get into James White's good graces
it was with food. The young man-turned-witch strode into the park with
his bag slung over his shoulder. Sure, the picnic was free but that didn't
mean he had to be ungrateful and not bring anything to share.

He could feel eyes watching him from the shadows of the trees, causing
him to sigh. Although he appreciated the loyalty of his shadow beasts, they
could get rather over-protective at times.

He wasn't exactly the most social person in the world either, which was
part of the reason he had come here today, to help him get better
acquainted with the students and the people of the academy. He laid out
a picnic blanket under the shade of some trees and started laying out
the food. All of which was home-made.

To one side were chocolate chip cookies, brownies, some cinamon rolls,
and a couple trays of sandwiches, on another side was a large bowl of chips
to be shared out, a banana cream pie, and some other goodies.

He looked over in time to see several shadow blobs looking at him with
wide eyes, causing him to sigh, "Alright, fine, you each get ONE cookie...got it?
One cookie...than you gotta go back to the shadow realm, agreed?" They nodded excitedly, jumping for joy a little upon being handed the baked goods and dissolving back into the shadows content.

James took a seat on the blanket and put out a note in front saying "Free food. Come and help yourself....Just remember to leave some for others." He then got out one of his books on magic and got to reading.

Bat Country
[Vieve-—> Amarath]

Vieve had just entered the park only to hear an ear piecing shriek that might have caused her to flatten her ears to her head if she was in wolf-shape.

Instead, the young woman looked up just in time to see a student come crashing out of the three. Vieve's first thought probably should have been shit I hope she's okay, but instead her first thought was damn that was funny. Still, the girl seemed to catch herself, appearing on her feet, and Vieve was impressed.

"You have good reflexes," she said, walking over to the girl to see if she was okay anyway.

Vieve was trying to be teacherly, but it was sort of hard when she was wearnig a black tank-top that showed off some of her tattoos, and she was, as usual, bear foot.

[Yoka-—>James White]

The kitsune was late to the party, having had to deal with a piping issue at The Cross Fox, and of course when the maintenance man said between 8-12, he really meant whenever I damn well please.

The Fox did not like to be kept waiting, so she was in a sour mood when she left her cottage, but the walk to the park quickly improved her mood. She loved when the school put on these kind of events. It was great opportunity to find new employees and patrons for her establishment, and it was nice to mingle outside of work.

Yoka was wearing a long, open-backed sundress, a pair of large sunglasses, and bright red lipstick. Her feet were in small, delicate sandals and her arms were decorated in a multitude of shiny bracelets that clinked when she moved her arms. She was carrying a massive box filled with fox-head shape onigiri under her arm. Hey, if she was going to attend, she might as well exploit her cultural origins as much as possible. Those anime nerds went gaga over her onigiri.

She stopped past a man setting up a blanket, just in time to hear him say,
"Alright, fine, you each get ONE cookie...got it? One cookie...than you gotta go back to the shadow realm, agreed?"

"That was very kind of you," she said to the man, even though it was generally rude to interrupt someone reading a book. The fox's eyes flashed to the blanket and then she said, her voice a little higher, "Is that banana cream pie?!"

Of course, someone just had to see her fall.

It was her fault for being a klutz, but that didn't make it any less embarrassing. She turned pink, and started formulating excuses in her head, something that didn't make her look like a total loser.

"I'm sorry, I just saw a—" wait, did she compliment her?

"Could you run that by me again?"

"Heh, thanks," He rubbed the back of his head while trying not to
look embarassed, "I don't like seeing myself as those guys master,
so I try to treat them with some sense of decency...of course, they
can be a bit overprotective at times.."

The young man glanced up to see the woman before him, and
automatically recognized her as a kitsune. A Japanese fox spirit
if memory served correctly. At hearing her speak up about his
food, he chuckled, "Oh? Yeah, that's banana cream pie. Just came
out of the oven earlier today. Made with real bananas and chilled
so it's just right..."

He cut her a large wedge and put it on a plate, "Would you care for
a slice, miss?"
