[Axle>>Paradox]

So he hadn't slept huh? Poor guy must be running on fumes by now or something. The sun was really bright today and it was known to sap away Axle's energy when he was out at the beach or something to that effect. So by relation, the boy thought this guy might fall into that category too. "It is fine brah. No worries. I'll go easy on ya."

With a smug grin, Axle adjusted his shades and rotated his neck. "So how do you want to go about this? I could try to get it with my legs or grab hold of it?" The student asked before getting cracking his fingers. "Actually never mind. I'll just try to grab it."

Already playing around with new people. Axle was feeling good about today. He had spent so much time with just his parents that this was a rare occurrence for the guy. His smile began toothy before he moved his hand away to cover it for a moment. He didn't want to seem like a weirdo.

[Vieve-—> Amarath]
"I'm sorry, I just saw a—""Could you run that by me again?"

"You have good reflexes," Vieve repeated. "It's not worth focusing on the fact that you fell--mistakes are inevitable--but it is impressive that you were able to harness your powers like that to catch yourself."

Vieve made one hand appear to be falling and then cupped it in her other hand to make a slight smack sound.

She realized she might sound like a crazy person as she just rambled on about reflexes with no explanation, so she said, "My name is Vieve Corbeau, and I'm a powers-coach for the academy. I'm trained to watch for things like that, and it's always rewarding to see someone using their powers instead of someone being used by their powers."

She offered her hand out for a hand shake. "Tell me....? Have you been at the academy long?"

[Yoka-—>James White]

"Heh, thanks,".. "I don't like seeing myself as those guys master,
so I try to treat them with some sense of decency...of course, they
can be a bit overprotective at times.."

"That's a very mature view point,"
Yoka said, pursing her lips. "More involved in the arcane would be wise to take that stance. Their over-protectance is probably well-deserved. You are an interesting young man."

"Oh? Yeah, that's banana cream pie. Just came out of the oven earlier today. Made with real bananas and chilled so it's just right...Would you care for a slice, miss?"

Yoka laughed. "An interesting young man who knows the way to the fox's heart. I would love a piece. Could I interest you in some onigiri in return? Most of them are filled with fruit of some kind or the other but there are some more, ah, specialty flavors in there as well."

Specialty could mean anything from the meat-paste filling she'd concocted for the carnivorous folk or the ones stuffed with wasabi, hot sauce, and ginger for those people who were masochistic and liked the taste of wasabi and pain.

She didn't realize that catching herself was that impressive. Her powers had been part of her life so long that the little things, like teleportation, came instinctually. Spacial constructs on the other hand, were impressive. Same with manipulating gravity (and therefore time). That was practically impossible though.

Powers coach... She hadn't spent a lot of time there, over the years. Most of the school thought it was more important for her to get extra study time, rather than focus on powers that didn't do much. Thinking back, that probably was a mistake.

Ann shook her hand and squeezed. "I'm Amaranth Harper. I've been here since I was a kid, but I haven't had a lot of powers training. I'm autistic, so the school thought it was a better idea to focus on academic stuff."

"Besides," she added, teleporting roughly four feet in the air, only to land on a small spacial platform, "that's about the extent of what I can do. Everything else takes too much energy."

[ #91827364501 -> Amphios ]

"Ok, Amphy. Call me Joker." He looked at Amphy's vine... and grinned. That was some artistry, right there. "Sick."

Joker grabbed Amphios by the shoulders. He looked him straight in the eyes which was ineffective due to the fact that Joker was wearing sunglasses.

"Bro," he said in a grave voice. "Make vines with me... Follow my Vine account and then make vines with me. Come on. It'll be sick. With our powers combined, we'll dazzle the universe in six seconds."

He waggled his eyebrows enticingly.

Mr White rose an eyebrow at the fox girl's comments, "Thank you....yes, I would love to try some onigiri. Preferably fruit-filled. I'm not too keen on spicy stuff," He handed over the wedge of banana cream pie and accepted some onigiri in return. He bit into one and chewed, nodding in approval, "Mm...this is very good."

He then remembered something important,"Oh, sorry. I haven't bothered to introduce myself...James White's the name. I'm still new here," He bowed his head a little as was japanese customs,"These are my...shadow friends. Say hi guys."

The creatures waved politely from the protection of the dark...but both they and James knew that kitsunes were an unpredictable lot who loved to cause trouble, so using some caution around this person was wise, at least until they proved they would not harm master. Within the shadows, one might make out the image of a much larger creature, watching...waiting...

"Might I have the pleasure of your name, miss?"

[Lochlann -> Le-kzen Ta'driz ]

"Time to walk back to our spot, See, Lochlann? I am the epitome of perfect posture."

"I don't know if that's impressive or scary," Lochlann said in response. He rubbed his forehead again, following her to the man that was presumably her brother. She dropped the water bottle on his face and Lochlann was happy he was too slow to snicker at that antic, because the look the guy gave him would have made his hair bristle if he was a dog.

With one last glance towards the man to make sure he wasn't going to follow them and warn Loch not to bone his sister, Lochlann resumed following Zen back to their earlier spot.

"Thank the gods," he murmured as they returned. "Out of the sun. I don't know why I thought leaving my room was a good idea today--don't get me wrong, I'm glad I did, because it's nice to meet you."

He leaned against the tree and sort of slid back into his original spot, resting his plate of food ontop his outstretched leg. He looked at Zen and asked, "So what are you taking up at the academy?"

"Hello Amaranth," Vieve said. She watched with something akin to pride as the student teleported up into the air. "That's probably why I haven't had the chance to meet you earlier then. You've got a very good grasp on your skills.

Vieve uncrossed her arms, pulling a business card out of her back pocket. "Do you think you'd ever be interested in demonstrating for other students? You don't have to if it would make you uncomfortable. It's just that it's very inspiring to have someone young mastering their skills. I tend to work with students that..."

She figured out how to phrase this nicely and laughed instead. "Well, let's just say they'd have fallen out of the tree and then accidentally burned it down."

James chewed and swallowed one of the Onigiri as he nodded in
appreciation of her compliment, "Thanks. I like store-bought pie and
cakes as much as the next person, nothing wrong with them, but
people typically tell me my desserts are as good as what you might
find in any restaurant. I'm not sure how true that is but it's a nice
thought..."

He reached over and undid the lid on a container, revealing a row of
chocolate cake slices,"I'm not sure what your feelings are on home-made
chocolate cake, but it's there if you want some, be my guest." He poured
out some grape juice in cups for them too.

"Yoka, huh? That's a nice name. My time here is...going good so far,
I suppose. I have my reasons for coming here that go beyond the pursuit
of more education..." He took a look at the fox-shaped onigiri and the
woman, "So, Yoka, I take it you're a kitsune? And by the looks of it, a
very powerful one too."

Coatzin
Instead of getting upset or angry at Stefan for obviously cheating, she just laughed, amused by his control over the wind. After all, if they went to the extremes, mirroring the Frisbee would also be considered cheating by a lot of people.

Coatzin nodded and landed elegantly right in front of Stefan, chuckling a bit, coming to this picnic was proving to be the best darn choice that she could’ve made “You were saying something before I cut you off by throwing the Frisbee away from your reach, what was it?” She asked as she pulled her aviator goggles off, putting them on top of her head.

Argya
Arga raised her head, noticing the two girls that now were sitting in front of her, her attention soon landing on the one talking “Nah, I just like playing the guitar and was feeling a bit bored, that’s all” She just shrugged this off as she returned to playing the guitar, her attention still on the girls to some extent.

Perfect, she just got the right tone. She immediately started to play the short melody that she had just made, fairly louder than before now that she knew that it worked and that it actually sounded pretty nice. For the first time the guitar on her hands sounded like it was meant to sound, like an electric guitar, instead of an everyday acoustic one.
