That was very strange movement indeed. But she was blind! "So am I," he said. There was actually a hint of something in his voice now. Almost like he might almost be curious, but wasn't entirely sure of that himself. He hasn't been curious in a long time.

".. Same to you." Coete started to nod, just a habit from dealing with sighted people, and shifted around a bit awkwardly. Small talk wasn't his strength.

"I was... Here previously. There was an incident with some sort of giant creatures, and I was injured. I thought I would come see what it is like at a more peaceful time." His voice didn't shift at all while talking about the injury that came so close to killing him.

Coraline nodded, before sniffing the air, and making a sort of hiss noise. Mr.Slithers responded, hissing back.

"I am going to use my spear again, if you would like to brace yourself." She warned, before flipping her spear and stabbing the point into the ground, trying to feel the energies. The magic seeped through the sand, telling Coraline the organic matter that lies within, where she discovered the large, decomposing corpse of a giant crab.

"Crabs?"

Strange hissing sounds, but Coete was quick to close himself off from the nearby magic at Coraline's words.

"I couldn't tell you what a crab is like," he said honestly. "Although I know vaguely what they are. Those things were rather different than small edible sea creatures."
