Okali had attended Starlight Academy ever since she was old enough, but until recently she had lived with her parents. Between her age and their deaths, she had finally moved into a dorm - only to find out that she didn't have a roommate just yet and had a two-bedroom suite to herself for the time being.

That time was finally over. She'd received a letter. Due to some sort of external circumstances, someone was moving in. With her.

SHE WAS GOING TO HAVE A ROOMMATE!!!

Okali was super stoked. She'd run around like mad cleaning, and the not-really-special dorm was cleaner than it had ever been. There was a hint of peppermint-candycane in the air, there were random snack foods casually on the little kitchen's counters, and Okali's stuff was no longer sprawled across everything.

She was ready.

Crista sighed to herself as she walked down the residence halls of the school. Her families apartment building was evacuated last night, something about 'Manavoles'. Some sort of magical termite or something, resistant to natural pesticides. Her apartment would be ready to move back into a month at the least, so in the meantime Crista would have to move into the dorms.

The pizza girl readjusted her backpack, dragging a suitcase behind her that held her essentials, clothing and toiletries and the like. She glanced back down at the paper in her hands, telling her what room she'd be in. She'd been informed that she'd be roomign with a younger girl since no other spaces were currently available. Crista didn't mind that much.

She made a mental note to get back to her ride after she got settled in to grab her other backpack, and smiled as she found the room.

Crista unlocked the door with her key and stepped in, ducking slightly to pass the doorway.

"Hello?"

Okali quickly folded her wings and dropped back to the floor, having risen into the air by a few inches with a mad whirrrr of furiously beating hummingbird wings, pushed her hair out of her face again, and grinned at her new... really... tall... roommate.

That was fine.

"Hi!" she said brightly, hands clasped over her chest out of both excitement and a casual automatic move to hide the unpadded-rib flatness there. "I'm Okali Kirre! You're my new roommate aren't you?"

To call the hummingbird excited might be a bit of an understatement.

Crista glanced down at her new roommate, nodding. Yeah, she was definitely younger than her. Crista chuckled at the younger girl's enthusiasm. The pizza girl extended a hand to shake.

"That'd be me. Crista Kobayashi, at'cha service. The pleasure is mutual!"

She walked into the room, glancing around with a smile. "So, where should I put my stuff?"

Okali latched onto Crista's hand to shake it and not be super jelly over boobs not at all. She was still excited, though, and very happy to have a roommate. Especially a female roommate.

She surreptitiously sniffed at Crista, curious as to what sort of traits she might pick up. Boob-growing, hopefully. That would be the single best one, because the ability to grow didn't vanish without a trace when Okali fell asleep. There might not be any new growth afterwards but the growth that happened while she had the trait would stick around.

"That whole side is yours!" Okali finally let go and gestured to the unused and thoroughly-cleaned bedroom, turning with a little hop and flick of her wings. "Do you want help unpacking or anything? OH or food, are you hungry? I'm not great at cooking but there's food here!"

As Okali sniffed Crista, she would definitely smell pizza. Really good pizza. Hence the pizza on her shirt. Crista nodded, chuckling at the younger girls enthusiasm.

"Alright, i'll drop my crap, but I need to go grab my other bag." The tall girl nodded, dropping her bags on the bare bed. Oh, good they did get the memo to get the extra long bed.

Crista yawned, giving Okali a once over. "You can come with, if you're so eager to help."

Mmmmm now Okali was hungry. For pizza. Not. Er. Ah. JUST PIZZA.

Oh there was another bag? Crista could probably carry it way easier than Okali could, given their relative sizes and Okali's hummingbird nature - also known as fluttery and flighty and easily distracted, though apparently she didn't meet the criteria for an ADHA diagnosis.

Okali didn't really know or care what that meant, just that her parents had 'had her tested' when she was younger and just had to put up with her.

And her siblings. Yeah.

"Of course I want to help!" she chirped, bouncing a solid foot into the air with some unintended wing assistance and then hurrying after Crista. Helping was something roommates did.

Crista held her hands behind her head as she walked, Okali at her side. The size difference was obvious, Crista towering over the younger girl.

"Okali, eh? Tell me about yourself squirt." Crista smiled, the teasing nickname flowing naturally. The two walked, heading down to the student parking garage.

"About me? What do you want to know? I'm seventeen, as of last month, and I'm a student. Duh. Dorms and all. Um. I do lots of stuff! Mostly artsy stuff, like singing and drawing. I model sometimes!" Not very much of late, both because of her parents' deaths and because she was growing even less comfortable working as a boy.

"What about you? You like pizza? Pizza is great. There are so many different kinds! I'm not very good at cooking but I like it when other people can cook."

Crista laughed. This little chicky sure had a lot of energy.

"Yes, I like pizza." Crista gestured to her shirt, and her cap. "My family owns Kobayashi Pizza, downtown. I work there part time." Crista explained, pressing the button for the elevator. "And I agree, Pizza is pretty awesome. It and Cola make a fantastic duo."
