House Drakenhardt

The Drakenhardts were originally aristocrats that invested their treasures into finances to become rich. They utilized their hoarding nature to reap lots of benefits. For many years they were incredibly wealthy and sat comfortably within upper class society. With all of this money, they began investing in various business ventures and steadily took over entire markets. They bought land and became feudal lords. The family paid very little mind to the noble family that supposedly had dominance over them. That is until Xerxes Drakenhardt came along.

Xerxes Drakenhardt decided that he wanted to advance his family further. This is why he chose the path of conqueror. He started buying out more lands and enlisting more soldiers. With this, he took over territory and eventually overthrew the king. This is how the Drakenhardts became full-fledged warriors. Once he had a kingdom, lots of land, and control over numerous businesses, he worked on maintenance. During his conquering period he challenged and defeated many people. This is how Marduk Theria came to work under the family.

The kingdom remained relatively peaceful for many years. Alexander Drakenhardt was born, followed by Lucrecia Drakenhardt. Leon Drakenhardt was born within one of the branch families. Peace eroded when the holy knights arrived to attack and kill off the branch family that Gwyn Drakenhardt was from. Gwyn was half-dragon, half-fae and inherited a fae kingdom, but his fae relatives disliked him for being a half-breed. Xerxes acquired custody and took care of him. He attempted to get the boy in touch with his fae side, but the fae family rejected Gwyn. The fae grandparents and rulers at the time were too wrapped up in grief. Thanks to this, Gwyn eventually went to live with the main branch family. Xerxes eventually decided to retire and enter eternal sleep in another realm, leaving Alex and Lucy's parents to take charge.

Alex and Leon were best friends and cousins that fought the knights off while Lucy and Gwyn stayed home. Alex, being the oldest and apart of the main branch, was made heir to the throne. Leon objected, and the two cousins fought for supremacy. Alex was the victor of this battle, and Leon vanished completely. Leon trained with fire mages and went on his own path. During this time, more of the dragon eggs Alex and Lucy's parents birthed hatched. There was Abel Drakenhardt, then Raul Drakenhardt, and then lastly Xylina Drakenhardt. Gwyn left the family to roam around on his own but did keep in touch. He decided to become an artist. He also killed a lot of people, especially Nazis because fuck Nazis. Three years before Lina was born, Sirath Drakenhardt was born within a third branch family. The war kept raging on, but the rulers chose not to inform their children about what was happening. Instead they focused their efforts on winning the war and protecting the kingdom while Marduk and the rest of the staff raised the kids.

Because of this, the kids were given a ludicrous amount of freedom and were not taught traditional royal standards. Instead they learned how to function within modern day. Well, if you can clarify them as functioning. They each had their own drama and worked separately. While the younger siblings were familiar with one another, they really only knew cousin Gwyn out of the three aforementioned cousins and they never got to see their oldest brother Alex because he was busy training and kicking ass. The centuries-long war has weakened the amount of protection the family could provide for the children, so the knights were able to kidnap Xylina. Various members of the family reacted in different ways to the news, but it was Alexander whom was sent in to save the day. He did so successfully and killed off a lot of knights to rescue his baby sister.

Thanks to this, the siblings were relocated to Manta Carlos Island with Alexander in hopes that Alex would be able to provide leadership and protection for them with the assistance of Marduk. Gwyn decided to move in as well. Lucy also moved to help keep things together. Abel got into a bad spot and had to move in. Leon made an unexpected return while Sirath made an unexpected arrival. Now the children are all under one roof, and all the troubles and drama that they've had over the years has boiled over into a stew of controversy and dysfunction. Meanwhile the parents remain at the kingdom to keep things under control and defend the properties they still have left.
