HI. My name is Lan. I do stuff. And things. I am also new. It's pretty much exciting.

Ummm. So, let's get the scary stuff out of the way first. I'm currently working as a Pulsed Power Physicist at a company that does a lot of large-scale projects and R&D. Yes, I will make dumb science jokes. Probably. I apologize for the sheer derpitude and nerditude I will likely display. I seriously cannot stop it from happening.
OTHER THAN THAT. I am just a normal bloke, ish. I like a wide variety of things, from anime/manga to british television shows to older american shows like MASH (omg, I love MASH, Alan Alda is kind of my hero, shh). I also like Star Trek: Next Gen, mostly for Data. I identify with him on a rather personal level, for I, too, have a hard time understanding human behavior.
I play a lot of games, from tabletop like Pathfinder and D&D, to basically the swamp that is my Steam Library. Currently I've been in a Borderlands 2 kick (because I finally found people who will play with me, cough >>), but I've also been trying to pluck up the courage to continue going through Among the Sleep (I got scared at the library and noped out of there as fast as my infant legs could carry me). If you want to play games on Steam with me, hit me up! =) I like meeting new friends!
What else do I do? Umm... I like food. Like, a lot. Right now I am addicted to boba for no raisin (Futurama, anyone?). I also live within walking distance of a ton of awesome restaurants and it hurts my wallet about as much as Steam Sales. Like, there's this place that serves this awesome gnocci in a gorgonzola cream sauce that is TO DIE FOR. Like, seriously. It's awesome.
OH. Also. I ramble. And talk in ALL CAPS when I have feels. And the sleepier I get the crazier I become. >> Yup.
