Aeon was in her room tying her shoes, dressed in the tight buy very flexible clothing she wore every night when she wanted to go to Fight Club. He body had finished healing from the rough bout she'd gotten in last time and was ready to take it on again.

Aeon's room was exceedingly neat, save for the space around her bookcase. Her bed was made and occupied by stuffed animals, some clearly handmade and others sewn and store-bought, all of them a little spooky.

There was a Cthulu that she'd made herself, a stuffed skeleton, and stuffed virus she'd gotten when she was too sleepy to notice that it wasn't at all what she wanted. But it was cute anyway.

On her floor was a fluffy beige carpet, and her walls were painted with black and light purple stripes. Around her book case was a stack of books she was in the process of reading.

Siiiiiggggghhhhhhhh tonight was sad. And lonely. And sad-lonely, and lonely-sad.

Audrey didn't like either, much less together. So he went looking for company! That was very much the solution to everything, and eventually his drifting and pouncing and meandering led him to a stripy room full of fluffy animal things he didn't recognize but they were GREAT!

The ghostly kittenboy dove facefirst into the mound of stuffies, arms outstretched to hug them all as he flew out of a wall and regained tangibility.

Once Aeon was certain her shoes were tied tightly and they wouldn't come undone easily, she walked towards her window. Really, there was no reason for her to sneak out this way--her dad knew that she went out and fought people at night for fun, there was no reason for her to be sneaky anymore.

But something about going out this way was more exhilarating.

She jumped as she heard something loud behind her.

The unicorn turned around and saw--

"Who are you and why are you in my room?"

YELLING?! WHAT?! THERE WAS AN INTRUDER? WHAT WHERE HOW WHO?

The ghostly catboy flailed around in the messed up mound of stuffies until he floated up enough to see out of them.

"Oh. Hi," he said casually. Totally meant all of that, yup. One hundred percent was not actually frightened. "I was lonely and I saw stuffies! I'm Audrey."

Kitten started purring, sitting in the pile of stuffies with some actually sticking out of his body because he wasn't tangible at the moment, although his giant hoodie was all messed up from when he had been tangible and now the music box that lived in the front pocket was at risk of falling out and getting lost.

Aeon was so confused, but she couldn't leave this.... "Audrey" in her room with her possessions. That would be incredibly irresponsible, and also, her dad would totally kill her probably.

Or at least give her a stern talking to.

"I'm surprised you're even here right now, Audrey. My dad guards this place pretty well."

Aeon pulled down her own hoodie, revealing her two-toned hair done up in twin buns for the occasion of fighting scrublords. "I'm Aeon," she said, hesitantly. "Are you a ghost?"

Surprised at him being there? Lots of people were, but really they shouldn't be. One, he was a cat, and cats just magically got into weird places so that other people could scratch their heads and go 'wtf' for hours on end. Two, he was a ghost, and could go right through anything physical and a bunch of magical stuff.

So. Not really surprising.

"Aeon's a pretty name!" Audrey squirmed and floated out of the pile of stuffies, then became solid again and dropped onto the bed with a simulated bounce. "And yeah! I used to be a cat, a real proper cat, but then sad stuff happened. But now I can go wherever I want! And I don't get cold or hungry!"

Aeon, with her love of cats, knew that cats were basically the purest form of magic imaginable. They did things no one understood in ways that didn't make sense. They were amazing and her favorite things in the whole wide world and right now Aeon was standing in her room questioning how this cat got into her room.

What the heck was wrong with her right now.

She went over to her bed and gave the kitten a few pets on the head, moving her hand under his chin to give him soft scritches like she knew the stray kittens liked.

"That's sad," she said sympathetically. "But you're okay now, right?"

Oooohhhhhhhhhhhhh she gave nice pets! Audrey purred and pressed into the scritches, all loving fluffy kitten even if his fur was stretched over a much larger body these days. This was so great, so great, he loved this room and this Aeon person, just so great!

Ohohoh words! "Usually! Sometimes I get lonely still, but then I just come find nice people. Like you! I like meeting new people!"

"That's good," She said, continuing the pats since he seemed to like that. She knew eventually he'd get bored or overstimulated by the pets and make her stop, but she would enjoy this until it reached that point. "I'm glad you think I'm nice."

She thought about it. This was the first time she'd ever had anyone in her room before.

"Have you met a lot of nice people?"

Yay pets, all the pets, must snuggle into the pets more, must roll over on the petting limbs to make them pet FOREVER no stopping the pets.

Audrey's patting quota was honestly closer to, say, a labrador's than most cats'. He just wanted ALL THE PETS. ALL OF THEM. ALL OF THE SNUGS.

"Everyone starts out nice! But then some people don't stay nice and it's sad... but then I go find more nice people!"
