Omnom Trees (King)

To anyone watching, it might seem odd that a young child of any sort were frolicking through the woods unattended. Sure, it was the middle of the day on a weekend, and sure the kid wasn't really very far into the trees, but still.

Of course, if there were anything in the area capable of injuring this particular kid (especially without being eaten), then there was a much bigger problem. This was, after all, a first generation black hole/eldritch hybrid child bouncing around, picking up anything light enough to lift and throwing it into the normally-anatomically-impossibly-huge pit of endless black that was this kid's gaping mouth.

They were also humming to themselves, regardless of the rationality of a black hole being able to produce sound at all (blame the eldritch habit of just plain breaking reality), and occasionally stopping to bite through entire trees. Taste was not a factor, only volume, for the black hole child was forever hungry and had the facial ability to bite through most natural substances.

They also occasionally tripped, even with five leg tentacles to spread out their weight and try to balance better (planetary gravity and walking were both still super new), and took out a large faceful of dirt and grass and fallen debris whenever they faceplanted. Their unusual footprints were, as a result, studded with giant ragged holes, unhindered by dirt, tree roots, or boulders.

Crow was strolling through the woods as he usually did between his heists. It was getting closer to the human holiday of Halloween. He had heard inklings of it, and decided he already loved it. He'd be able to blend into the crowd so much easier now! So many more places had just become available to be robbed~!

He cackled to himself just thinking about it, stopping abruptly when he began to feel a strange energy crashing through the forest towards him.

The crashes of fallen trees certainly helped his confusion.

Then a small...child? Fell in front of him, creating a crater when they did. Crow stared, before beginning to cackle. This was hilarious! Look at this....What even were they? His high-pitched warble echoed through the forest as he clapped, loud clanging ringing out every time his hands met.

Rubbing dirt off their cheeks and nose was so annoying, but at least they didn't have to spit it out like other people here. It had been so strange to learn that everyone else here could spit things out, that spitting things out wasn't just a turn of phrase to get someone to talk.

Noise! The little bold-coloured kid scrambled back to their 'feet' and immediately saw the gangly strange guy. Their face split horribly wide with an enormous, infinitely-needleteeth-ed grin, and they ran over as fast as their leg tentacles could take them. They even managed to not trip on the way!

"HI!" they yelled, launching themself into a hug (y'know, of Crow's legs) as soon as they were close enough. The tiny child loved hugs and kind of really didn't process stranger danger.

Hey, their skin couldn't be cut and they could just eat anyone who threatened them, but why would anyone threaten them in the first place?

Crow teleported to the left a few feet to avoid the kids tackle. Crow had seen how they took out the ground, and very kindly didn't want that to happen to his legs.

"Hello Hi Howdy How are you?!" Crow cackled, patting BHC on the head. A strange child, but a child nonetheless.

"Who oh why oh why you trying to eat devour bite the forest down?"

Awwwww, they didn't get to hug the stranger. Instead, they got to dive into the ground again. However, their mouth was closed as part of pre-hug preparations and so they just knocked a bit of loose dirt around. And got some up their nose.

Sitting up and scrubbing at it (sneezing wasn't an option any more than exhaling or spitting) until it stopped itchy, the black hole child looked up at Crow again.

"I'm hungry," they said simply. And sadly. Even if they had just eaten a bunch of trees, they were not eating at this moment in time.

Crow stared at the kid. Hungry. Oh well, not the strangest thing crow had ever heard.

"Hungry? Stomach empty and the whatnot similarity om nom nom tasty munch?" The scarecrow rambled, before crossing his arms.

"That is a reasonable, sensible, smart explan -vexan-explanation."

"Yes!" the child exclaimed in agreement. And then paused. "I don't have a stomach. And I don't actually know what tasting is. BUT THE REST YES! I'm super hungry and I'm always hungry and I want to eeeaaaatttt."

They weren't currently eating, and that was a problem. So they crouched down, leg tentacles bending in places not quite right for joints, and started putting stray rocks and moss and clumps of dirt in their mouth.

Crow nodded, before he pulled out a bag from his sleeve. He held it upside down and started shaking it. A pile of caltrops started falling out, far more than would physically fit in the bag.

"Hungry hungry omnomnom! Here you here you go my tiny new tentacle friend! Eet munch devour up!"

Crow cackled as he replaced the bag back into his sleeve, stepping back so he wasn't in the blast zone.

The black hole child stared at the bag in open curiosity and anticipation. It was a small bag, but did it have food? They hoped it had food!

IT DID HAVE FOOD!

The child skipped forward and opened their mouth to catch the falling shiny metal things, occasionally missing one but mostly succeeding in letting them fall straight into infinite blackness. They felt around with spare leg tentacles for the fallen caltrops, and then passed those up to a hand and eat them too. The pointiness wasn't a problem; this kid's skin was pretty much impenetrable, and pain was a foreign concept.
