"Well, I'm a dragon. Dragons like to eat lotsa food, so it kinda sucks when I get them cravings."

He was also quite the snackaholic which didn't help. He needed his zebra cakes and soda. Speaking of which, it had been a while since his last soda. Maybe that's why he got cranky earlier. That could possibly be the case. Raul picked up the two halves of the skateboard after Audrey poked one of them. He glanced back and forth at each half. There was no way he could use this board now. It would totally fall apart if he glued it back and then tried to ride on it. It would be easier just to get another skateboard. It's not like he wasn't rich anyway. Hell, he had a collection of them!

"I wasn't tryna break it on purpose! I just fucked up my trick and that's what happened, ya know?"

He held the pieces under one arm as he glanced around at the snowy terrain.

"Ever skated before, Audrey?"

"I used to eat a lot before. It was all run run ruunnnnnn FOOD sleep RUN. I guess the sleep took longer but I was sleeping so it never seemed like it?? But now I can just run and play whenever. It's great."

Audrey peered at the broken pieces with Raul, floating up and around to look over his shoulder. "It looks very broken. Things don't get that broken from messing things up, they get that broken from trying to break them and succeeding. Are you sure you were trying?"

And no, he'd never skated. He was a cat. Well, he had been. Trying to skateboard had never occurred to him, and it still didn't occur to him how skateboarding worked, or why it was a good thing to do.

"Why would I skate?"

Raul let out a sigh. He definitely didn't want to continue arguing about this broken skateboard manner. Clearly the cat underestimated both the dragon's hubris and his stupidity. Audrey should've saw him in a kitchen. Even witnessing him, one could never understand the achievements in ignorance he performs trying to cook a meal. Except unlike the trope that the writer title dropped he failed miserably, at least in the realm of cooking. This is why he ordered takeout or let Alex, Marduk, or Liv cook for him. Alex especially would not let him anywhere near the kitchen in fear of what would happen if he tried to use the microwave.

"'Cause it's fun! Ya go rollin' down streets and slidin' down rails and doin' all kinda tricks and flips!"

Many of those tricks and flips he could do so long as he wasn't being stupid about it or getting too cocky. This particular combination of tricks he tried that got him into the tree in the first place failed miserably because of both reasons.

"Ya should try it! ...'Course ya need a skateboard for it. A not-broken one."

The redhead laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head. A goofy grin was on his face.

"There's also Parkour, but, uh....I dunno how ta do that."
