✩ Basil visits the strip, which he feels at home in, and can't resist going into Gomorrah. Feels that Mikhainon is similar to him. Tries to get answers, finds more questions, causes another power outage, and gets a new lover.

✩ Basil goes on a date with Mikhainon. Eldritch cannibalism and cult hijacking in the forbidden forest ensue. Basil has flashes of... memory?

Vincenzo Maria Fontana (Poppy): Milo adores him, he's everything, he's going to make life better for him if it's the last thing he does. Sometimes your intended murder victim ends up your precious angel of a fiance. Long story, you know?

Niles Felis (NPC): Childhood best friend, close enough to bury bodies with. Nerd.

Cecete (Sashi): Fellow changeling and sister by blood.

Vinanye Reed (Foxy): Close friend from a Fae realm, who Milo trusts to learn things from and share sensitive details with.

Anh Sang (Emy): Little sister (not by blood).

Neon (Poppy): Dear friend. They share some interesting things in common, like height, fondness for cute, and murdering criminals.

Jack (Poppy): Their shady boyfriends are best friends, and before that, they were already in the art club together. Quite the coincidence.

Lei Feng (Poppy): Someone to watch over.

Eroshay Rosales (Foxy):Art club member and political conspirator. She reminds Milo of himself. She's strong, but things are tough.

Raul Drakenhardt (Sashi): Coworker, in-law, easy to interact with.

Valentine Crowther (Me): He makes Vince happy, as well as Jack. If it wasn't for that and probable immortality, Milo would've killed him by now.

Algrogath (Poppy): Please stop killing his fiance from the inside out, you piece of shit parasite, thanks.

✩ Events of backstory. Milo settles in to college and Manta Carlos life, fairly dazzled. He's unsure what he wants to do, education wise, past get a better understanding of his own abilities. He keeps killing criminals.

✩ Milo anonymously sends a care package to Lei.

✩ Milo accidentally runs for student council, after antagonizing a student who was irritating him. He doesn't win (and didn't exactly want to), but he makes a lot of friends, gains weird popularity, gets more involved with the school, and creates an art club. Whoops. (Not to mention, makes Marina Bellamy have a breakdown.)

✩ Milo starts volunteering at the animal shelter.

✩ Milo meets Neon in a ridiculous (but adorable) way.

✩ Milo murders Vincenzo. They both make it weird.

✩ Vincenzo comes back to haunt Milo, and he's just happy she's alive.

✩ Vince tries to bother Milo while he contemplates his crush, then claims his first kiss.

✩ Vince gives Milo a very thoughtful gift for valentines day. Their tension comes to a climax. Milo loves Vince dearly, and has another first time with him.

✩ Milo assumed he would continue to find sex undesirable, with Vince simply being an exception (and despite their sexually open relationship)- but is pleasantly proven wrong, thanks to a misunderstanding with Jack. After that experience, he's comfortable enough to approach Neon with the same interest.

✩ Milo decides to major in criminology, planning on being a private investigator in the future.

✩ Milo and Vince get complete exclusivity and engaged.

✩ Milo has plans to go on a trip with Vince, but they're interrupted by the tsunami, and entertain themselves in other ways.

✩ Milo discovers he has a sister, a fellow Fae changeling, by wild coincidence of working at the animal shelter together.

✩ Milo meets Maddie, then Vinanye.

✩ Milo has an encounter with Algrogath, Vince's Eldritch parasite, for the first time.

✩ It's Student Council time again, and this time Milo's here to win it. Significantly, he fights Vince then proposes to him with a proper ring, meets his sister's husband-to-be, meets Lori in a cute cafe, stops Vince from harassing Shay then rescues him from a tree, bakes with Vince, makes a deal with Shay, not-exactly makes a deal with Chloe and the DSU, and learns to dance with Vinanye.

✩ Milo wins the president position on the Starlight Academy Student Council! He throws an afterparty for the other winners and any supporters.

✩ Milo rescues a girl from Vince while posing as... detective and supervillain archenemies. He never technically lies about anything while doing this.

Jack (Poppy): Husband and first love. Initially, Val intended to break this man. Everything is so, so much softer than expected. He wants him to stay, always.

Vincenzo Maria Fontana (Poppy): Best friend and girlfriend. They have a book group, dark magic activities, and dalliances in pretty skirts.

Genevieve Pierce (NPC): Girlfriend. Odd fate entanglement, obnoxious brute, unfortunate romantic attraction.

Dorian Crawford (Poppy): Old school rival and pigtail puller, who he's started to date, and always had a bit of a thing for. He's smart and attractive, while simultaneously being obnoxious and ridiculous, and the sparks are too strong to ignore.

Clarence Crowther (NPC): Twin brother. Val hurt him, but he isn't hurting him anymore.

Alva Crowther (NPC): Mother. He assumed she didn't care, but they're slowly repairing their relationship.

Mikhainon (Poppy): Val has no interest in ex-boyfriend drama, but he has definite interest otherwise.

Milo Constantin (Me): He plays with criminals on their own terms. How cute. Vince's fiance, after quite the series of shenanigans. With this situation, Val is never letting Vince off the hook for ever being condescending to him about Jack.

✩ Events of backstory

✩ Val approaches Jack, wanting to hurt him. Ends up agreeing to a date.

✩ Val has a first date with Jack. It's rather eventful.

✩ Val meets Gen, who's giving her odd magical vibes.

✩ Jack sends Val a package, which is a trend, but less stable than usual this time. Val, on strange impulse, returns the favor. Val sees Jack again after avoiding him, and is so ill that he passes out in class. Jack brings him to his apartment, taking care of him. They talk things out, and their relationship dynamic changes dramatically.

✩ Val meets Vincenzo on halloween night, at the masquerade ball. They're gay at each other.

✩ Val accidentally introduces Jack to his mother, Alva. It's embarrassing, she shows off baby photos. Val reconsiders his previously bitter opinion of her.

✩ Val spends more time with Vince, his first friend. Vince gives Val a cute daughter. Val is overjoyed.

✩ Val and Vince go graverobbing, planning an interesting experiment that mixes their areas of dark magic expertise. It's a good besties bonding activity.

✩ Val and Jack have a warm Crowther family christmas at the mansion. Val feels closer to Clarence.

✩ Val has an awful birthday, as always, and shares secrets with Jack. The morning after, on new years, they have breakfast with the other Crowthers (and Clarence's new girlfriend, Lei).

✩ After years of screwing around, Val settles on politics for his college major, with big plans for the future.

✩ Val has a pleasant valentines day, giving all of his lovers something nice and receiving the same treatment in return.

✩ Val meets Vince's boyfriend, Milo. They don't get along past stiff surface politeness (for Vince's sake), but Val is amused by Milo all the same.

✩ Val helps his mother put more heavy warding on the mansion, and holes up inside with his family, Jack, and other additions, for the tsunami.

✩ Val invites Gabriel Baltimore to a party in order to scope him out, a dangerous and intriguing move.

✩ Val has his metaphorical pigtails pulled by Dorian.

✩ Val graduates summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science. He cries. Then, he goes out for fondue with Jack.
