Something caught her attention. It was a light hum. The sound you hear from one of those big lights at a hospital and scary movies. She paused and listened, then looked around, but no one else seemed to notice it.
Shay stood slowly, but she couldn't discern where the sound came from, it was like it came from all around her, and suddenly she needed to find it, something in her begged her to find it because wherever it led was where Shay belonged with all her soul.
She turned in a slow circle, looking for any sign to give away what this was about. Following pure instinct, the young girl walked quietly to the back of the library, to a section of tables that were mostly hidden from view by tall bookcases and searched for anyone back there.
