It was another day at the adoption center. There was a light crowd of people coming in and out of the place. The manager assigned Raul the rodent section for today, so he was taking care of fuzzy little rodents. While he knew there was a volunteer coming in today that normally took care of them, he heard that a huge litter of mice came in. Because of this, the section was filled with more critters than normal. They weren't normal mice either; the mice were lightning types. They zipped around everywhere.
The red-haired man frantically scrambled to grab a few that escaped their cage. They were so young, yet they were already bolting about. He couldn't keep up with the freaking creatures. They were just tiny little speedsters.
"Damnit, why they gotta assign me with the pichus?!"
A playful squeak came out of one as if to taunt the dragon for being unable to catch a mere mouse. He lunged for the taunter, but the mouse rapidly dodged. He laid on the ground grumbling as the three mice kept running about the area.
