Argya slowly opened her eyes, allowing the sunlight to fill them as she looked at the sky. She had found this perfect spot to rest, this rocky ledge that as like…2 meters over the ground? Something between those lines. Yeah, she knew that she was dragging a bit of attention, but with so many mythical creatures in these islands, walking around without even giving two glances to the people around them, who didn’t? It wasn’t like if anyone was paying special attention to her, or at least she hadn’t noticed. Most people just shoot a glance at her before keep walking and never look at her again.

The gentle morning breeze played with her silver fur a bit. She was just lying down calmly, her powerful talons gripping the border of the rock, though she kept her claws sheathed, no need to try to dig them in the rock. Yeah, they were resistant as a diamond, so she wasn’t afraid about them losing their razor sharp proprieties, but she simply didn’t saw a true reason to do it. Her wings were loosely folded against her body and her finned tail hung limp at the side of her body. Even when resting she couldn’t help but look majestic, it wasn’t really her intention, but let’s be honest, who didn’t saw a bjartskular, a species that resembles so closely an unusually elegant and slender western dragon, and thought that it was a magnificent creature.

She was lucky though, her species had guarded their secrets so furiously since the humans betrayed them during their Middle Ages that the records of their existence had become almost completely inexistent and so, nobody knew about the colors that they owned and what they meant. In other words, she was able to be in her true form in the middle of a public place like this with nobody even suspecting that she was a princess. The perfect situation indeed.

Eve has been in her seat just as long as the majestic creature was at hers.

The local artist had a habit of roaming around Manta Carlos aimlessly whenever she had no idea for her paintings, and sometimes wouldn't stop until it was dark out or until she finds something interesting. Today, she was able to do the latter, but there was no way she was going home soon.

She could see the beautiful creature in an angle to the latter's right. So if she was actually conscious, it wouldn't be too difficult to spot Eve in the distance, sketching her on her large sketchpad. The sketch was almost done, though, she only had the fur details left to complete. She didn't even have to alter anything to make the scene look like it was from a fantasy world, and that gave her excitement. She was going to paint pure realism for the first time in years, and it would look entirely mythical.

She drew the dragon-like creature while she looked at the sky. Once she puts this on canvas and gives it color, she'll make sure to reflect the skies in her magnificent eyes. Finishing the details she needed, she closed her sketchpad and put it in her purple bag, before deciding that she had to have a closer look. So she wouldn't miss even the most refined detail on her.

"Beautiful," she muttered unconsciously as she watched her. Up close, she had to look up to see, and she could see the sun rays making her silver fur shimmer. The creature didn't look dangerous, not as dangerous as Deith at least, which made her feel pretty at ease even though she was sure the creature was bound to feel differently somehow.

Argya noticed some movement and moved her head just enough to look at the human girl looking back at her, her calm eyes meeting her curious ones as she walked closer to her. She couldn’t help but smile a bit when the girl’s words reached her ears. She lowered her head a bit to be in a more comfortable position while looking at the girl “May I help you with something?” She asked gently, her tail flicking only a bit.

She may not be the most powerful creature around, nor the smartest, but after watching at the girl this closely she could tell that she wasn’t a creature or spirit of what most humans would call the fantasy world, actually, she was indeed a human. This was what dragged her attention the most, as crossing paths with a common human in this islands was just as rare as crossing paths with a magical creature in the middle of a densely populated human city.

Luckily for the human, she wasn’t one of those bjartskulars that still felt betrayed by the human race after the famous 'Betrayal of the Shining Armors', where the humans started to either kill or enslave any bjartskular that they could find after they shared some knowledge with them. Actually it was thanks to them that she decided to leave her home and follow her own path in this life against all what her parents told her.

“Mind if I ask why you are around here? My intentions aren’t to make you feel uncomfortable, I’m just curious. You’re the first human that I see around these islands” She tilted her head a bit before standing up and jumping off the rock where she had been resting until now with feline grace. She knew that she still was a bit big against this human, and if she proved to be bothered by the difference of sizes she could simply transform into her human form or make herself a bit smaller so they could be on par with each other.

Eve wasn't quick to respond. She was still very taken by the creature's majesty, and learning that she can communicate with her... she felt an even greater sense of thrill surging through her body and keeping her heartbeat fast.

"Art... I'm here for art," she muttered, her eyes never leaving the silver ones. She wasn't entirely sure if the beautiful creature asked about her being there in the park, or being there in the island, but it didn't matter, because her answer would still be the same anyway.

"I know, it's rare to see plain humans like me in this place... I only got here because of a regular client. I'm an artist, a... a painter. In fact, I... I was looking for inspiration when I saw you and I..." Eve broke her stare and looked away sheepishly. She wondered if she'd sound creepy. "...I can't help it, I tried to sketch you while you're relaxing here. Forgive me for not asking permission first." Yup, absolutely creepy. Or if not, then just plain awkward. "Do you want to see?"

Oh, art the most beautiful creation of the human race. Yeah, bjartskulars were completely capable of art too, but it wasn’t until humans came and showed them how beautiful could the art be that they started to grow sincerely interested in it. Until then they had been only focusing on the gathering of knowledge and exploring the unknown fields of science to know how the world worked, artists were extremely weird and not always well received. Now artists were a lot more common and you could see them fusing the great knowledge of the bjartskular race with the purest form of art to give birth to all kinds of beautiful work.

Being between the lucky ones that were born just in time to interact with humans and learn about art, Argya couldn’t help but feel extremely interested and fascinated by it, she never thought that she would be the inspiration to one of said master pieces. She immediately nodded “There is no need to ask for permission, it should be a sin to let the inspiration go to waste for such trivialities. I would feel honored to see your work” She smiled, looking at the human’s bag “My name is Argya by the way. Mind if I ask your’s?”.

Eve felt a little embarrassed all of a sudden, hearing the creature's request to see her sketch. She was confident that it was good, but embarrassed still.

She took out her sketchpad from her bag and flipped the pages carefully. One by one, other random sketches showed on each page, and then disappeared once she turned another. Eventually she stopped, and turned the sketch to the creature. She smiled sheepishly at the same time.

"Is it okay?" she asked. She really hoped that it was. Hearing the creature's name, that smile turned more pleased and less awkward, and she happily replied, "I'm Eve, Eve Willows."

Argya looked at the sketch, she either had been still for longer than she originally thought or the human could draw quite fast. Hmm, she liked the detail, yes, yes, it was pretty nice. She never had been good at drawing, and that’s why she decided to go for music instead, an artistic area where she was a lot better.

“I like it, you have a gift” She said with a pleased smile, nodding a bit in approval “Are you planning on adding color of this is the final outcome?” She had heard of people and other creatures with artistic gifts liking to leave their work unfinished or just sketched for one reason or another. She approved this option completely, everyone was free to decide how they wanted to see their work at the end and nobody should mess with that kind of stuff.

Her neck was starting to hurt, having it lowered like this wasn’t natural. She decided to shrink herself to be just at the same height as the human, a faint silver glow enveloping her as she did, allowing to know that she was using her power. Like if it wasn’t obvious enough. Once she was done she stretched her neck a bit, a lot more comfortable now that she could talk to Eve without forcing her neck into unnatural positions.

Eve gasped softly when Argya glowed and shrank to her size. The glow was beautiful. Argya was beautiful. And getting to see her without having to look up was a great relief.

She smiled. She wanted to reach out and touch that soft fur, but she knew better than to try touching strangers. They might not like it.

"Thank you, Argya. It's not purely a gift though. I've been honing my skill since I was a child. And I never let anyone stop me from doing what I love," she said with a casual shrug. "I wanted to paint you. This is just... the draft. This is worthy of being called a masterpiece. I'll paint it as fine as I can, and make sure every detail could be seen. Ah, but I'll make it into something a camera can never capture."

Eve let a few moments pass in silence. She let those words sink in, both to her and Argya. She stared into the distance. "Say, do you often come here? Because I do and... this is my first time seeing you. How is that?"

Argya smiled and nodded, she was starting to like this girl “Following your dreams and finding your own path, far from what the rest want from you, is something that everyone should try to do. It took me many years to realize that myself, but I’m glad that I did so in time” It was obvious that Argya would always stand at the side of those who decided to risk everything to follow their dreams as she could easily relate to them. As a princess she had everything she could want or need, but she still decided to let go of this safe position that so many people would wish just to follow her dreams and find her true path.

“I’m fairly new around here, that’s probably why you hadn’t seen me around. And to be honest with you this is my second time on the park. My first one was during a picnic made by the academy” She wondered how the sketch would look once it was finished and fully colored “Would you come back around here when you finish the painting? I would surely love to see it” She actually would love to see her actually painting it, but she knew that most people wouldn’t like to let an stranger enter to their house, even less watch them work, so she didn’t want to just drop that info on her and make her feel uncomfortable.

Eve smiled. She was happy to know that they had the same outlook when it came to following one's dreams. She could tell, Argya had her own share of experience on that. "Do you wish to visit my workplace? My studio is open for the public. You can visit anytime. Ah, but..." She scratched her cheek lightly with a finger. "Are you always in that form? I mean... usually people here have more than one right? It would be a little difficult to enter my studio if not..."
