Hello!
I think it could be pretty interesting if Gwenaël and Yuzuru interacted. If the roommate spot isn't taken, could we maybe try that? I'm kind of curious as to how he'd rationalise a guy who just disappears at random. I also think it can be interesting to see two guys from very different countries try to get along, especially since they both seem pretty proud of their backgrounds.

I also think he could get along well with Nam Il, since they both seem to be pretty naive but nice people; plus it could be interesting to have Nam Il who knows a lot on magic interact with Gwenaël who doesn't know anything at all- and what he does know are tales he can't quite accept as fact just yet. It'd be interesting to try and make them friends.

Sure, it seems like we can work something out~~ Yuzuru still doesn't have a roommate either so that's something you can definitely fill if you're interested.

Do you have any idea for a starter? (Also warning to you, too, that I will be a little slow for a bit as school winds down).

First of all- good luck with school/your finals :)

And if we do agree on them being roommates, why not start with something simple like Gwenaël moving in and introducing himself (how would Yuzuru feel about being kissed hello? We tend to do that in France, on the cheek, obviously) and generally asking questions as he settles in their shared dorm?
Because I feel it could be a good way to start, the whole- culture clash, that being very embarrassing in general, and then how they both deal with the roommate simply disappearing, especially if Yuzuru doesn't see magic stuff/prevents it from happening.

As for Nam Il, since he's very sheltered and may not know how some stuff work right away without a manual or an explanation, and since my character is helpful, we could always try to use his somewhat superior grasp of real life situations to somehow end up helping Nam Il out and befriend him that way?

I think Yuzuru and Gwenaël sounds a bit more concrete than him and Nam Il at the moment so I think we should work on that first if you don't mind~ It's possible for both to work out well, though, I think.

Actually, I think that the culture clash would be really interesting to see. Japan in general is a lot more conservative than France is so there would be this amazing level of awkward on top of Yuzuru trying to find a plausible explanation for why this guy keeps disappearing.

Sorry forgot to tag you~

I don't mind at all! Since I offered for both though I didn't want to leave one out, but I do agree Yuzuru is a more concrete choice.

And the amazing level of awkward is very much a good motivation for me to want to do this ;D I can try to type a thread if you'd like? One where Gwenaël moves in Yuzuru's dorm? (since I'm fairly sure he's already at the academy, it makes more sense to me to do it this way, but I'd rather ask instead of assume :) )

Hey~~!

I... Oh my God. It's been half a year since anybody's actually posted on here u///u

In any case, yes, sure! If you'd like a thread with Yuzuru, we could try it out.

Did you have any particular idea in mind for how to start out? Anything you'd like to see get done?

Warning you now, however, that I'll be a little in and out with posts. I'm on the last leg of my finals and in a few more days, I'm going to fly home and try not to become a jetlag zombie.
Yeah, that sounds pretty good!

I've been pretty bad with replies lately so I'll sort-of kind-of close plotting for now. Aha, do you think I can get under ten threads for the first time in... two years?

If I promised anybody plots before and you'd like to get a start on those, just let me know~ I'll make time for it. Besides that, though, I really do need to clear this to-do list quite a bit, sorry!

(But feel free to still nudge me a little if you have a specific plot in mind?? I'll consider it?? :DDDDD???)

Iliril+Seiken: I think these two would be amusing to see interact- powers and such aside, the major draw on this for me is that I think personality-wise they will greatly balance one another out well. Seiken prefers the quiet, being alone or with only one or two people, and doesn't have the capacity or damns to give to judge anyone on a complex. His stuttering won't even get a blink out of him.

Seiken adores music, art, poetry, and similar aspects- because of his enhanced senses he's quite good at it. I think having him hear Il making a chant at some point, thinking he was alone when Seiken in lounging in a tree, could be for an interesting meeting to branch out from.

As well, if Il is made fun of, teased, or just struggles in general with interacting with people due to his stutter and other issues- I think Sei would be a good candidate. Since Seiken is so forward, and borderline childish- he will without hesitation stand up for Il, even if he doesn't know him, and call the teasers/bullies out on their bullshit. The fact he's a physical monstrosity and generally, immensely intimidating, usually pays off well for it.

I think they would get along well due to both of them feeling very "alone" as well. Seiken has a few friends after becoming one of the Basket Ball Teams aces- but they aren't real "friends" and due to his history and trauma, he understands all too well what it feels like to be alone and abandoned by the world (or in Il's case an entire alternate dimension/universe).

Lots of options, really. :D

Furthermore, I think him interacting with a mage (even one that is mostly unable to cast) would be interesting for him on grounds to begin "awakening" his secondary power set, which is based on tribal totems and chants- a similarity to Il's own. I would love to see where this line of thought goes as well.

On the other hand if you think another characters of yours would be a better fit, by all means let me know~
