Appearance Description: Seiken is what most would consider a monolith of a man- even by the standards of individuals that are "tall" he is a monstrosity. This is not only due to his height but also because of his build and sheer power- every inch of him layered with heavy, sinewed muscle. Over these thick muscles and build, his skin is lightly tanned, but pale by most Native American standards- likely due to his Japanese Heritage.
His body is clearly, despite its massive size, closer to the idea of an ancient human than a modern human, however- holding limbs and a wingspan much greater than normal connecting to abnormally large hands and feet. Due to this when he moves he tends to act more bestial than most, often when he sits falling onto "all fours" as it were and crouching without any issue being uncomfortable. His large hands and feet both holding retractable claws.
When it comes to his facial features, one would likely utilize the term "beast-like" due to his facial expressions, and general features that certainly take on the designs one would imagine from a more "ancient human". His jawline is heavyset and strong- with average cheekbones that are certainly notable, but not high or "elegant" by any means.
His forehead is similarly heavy, though not to the point of being too large for his face- connecting to a large skull fitting his massive frame. Large ears, ending in very slight points at their tips- and a nose with slightly larger nostrils then most, with thin lips barely holding back the large teeth and jaw that lay behind them. Said teeth being pearly white, all being cuspids, with the normal cuspids being far larger than a normal human would have, barely held back behind his lips.
When it comes to his eyes and hair, they are similarly easy to deal with- his Native heritage showing through as his facial hair and body hair is minimal at best- a simple happy trail forming at about halfway down his abdomen, with a small patch at the center of his chest. His arm and leg hair barely noticeable, however, his skin is anything but feminine due to its tough texture, almost like a sharks hide, it's density obviously abnormal.
Seiken's hair is an unnatural deep crimson hue with traces of natural orange and "ginger" hues- making it clear the abnormal and rare hair color is, in fact, natural- he wears it in wild long strands that come down to his lower back in wild curls and waves. His eyes are a soft red, nearly pink, with unusual catlike pupils that are constantly vertical- though when angered they see to naturally turn practically to vertical, cat-like slits, the color changing to a purple hue edged with a deep crimson matching his hair.

Personality Description: Contrary to the impression his massive size and animal-like demeanor give off, Seiken's personality is what most would consider the pinnacle of being "lumpish". He is incredibly calm, controlled, reserved, and lazy- he tends to fool around at serious times, which is not always well received- often causing turmoil when it's not needed to amuse himself. Due to this often seen as rather childish in nature. When it comes to interacting with the world, he would much rather just watch it go by than be an active participant in anything- lacking ambition, drive, and desire despite the immense natural talent he possesses in physical abilities, both genetic and otherwise.
He is considered by many to be somewhat catlike, or bestial in general, greatly enjoying sleeping in, expending as little energy as possible, and constantly eating junk food, snacks, sweets, meats, and drinking ale. His desires are incredibly limited, focused on only a few soul things- mostly including physical activity (if it's something he thinks could be fun and worth moving for), or anything that has to do with the base instincts, signaling that he may not so much be "Childish" as he is more animal than human. Far more driven by basic needs such as "tastes good", "she's pretty", "he's cute", or "tired" than he is anything complex like a goal or major ambition, he's far more of a "go with the flow" individual than anything else- specifically; his flow.
Seiken is by nature, a kind individual- though due to his trauma's, and the environment he was raised in, he is a bit of a recluse, and uncertain how to deal with others. He's quite selfish and acts on instinct before he thinks, generally on a whim making a decision that could change his life. Despite this selfishness and whimsical nature, he isn't a bad person- tending to be incredibly forward, and honest with both actions and words. If he finds someone attractive, he says it. If he dislikes someone, he says it. A natural law that he was raised by, and had hammered into his psyche since birth was simply: "the strong survive, the weak feed the strong". In this way, his bestial nature truly rears its head- as when he see's someone being killed, even a child, he struggles to truly feel any form of guilt or worry over it. As "that's simply how the world is".
Due to his past of having lived for so long with limited contact with other humans beyond his abusive family and Hai, Seiken is incredibly uncertain and blunt, almost rude, when it comes to interacting with other people. Opening up to others, and dealing with them as a whole is a challenge for him- and similarly, area's with large amounts of people tend to induce a degree of anxiety and panic in him. Tight spaces that he knows he has limited escape from also tend to cause this, such as carriages, closets, trains, and so forth- though he has gotten used to it to a degree with the last few years of his life spent in the "real world" he still would much rather take any other option for travel if possible. This fear is not over-riding to a major extent, but it does exist and cause him stress so that when combined with other stress-filled issues, it can cause his instincts to take over and cause an incident.
It is worth noting that Seiken, due to his instinctive, bestial nature has an incredibly powerful survival instinct. This instinct can take over during points of immense excitement or stress, and based on the situation can lead to incredibly dangerous instances until he regains control of himself- the usual triggers being survival, or lust- though it has been known to rarely happen during other instances such as the survival of something dear to him. When this switch is flipped he becomes far more animal than man, slaughtering and fighting like a beast more than a martial artist or warrior. This "bestial rage" is a trait most of his clan have, and he is no different.
One of the few things Seiken actually enjoys beyond physical things like martial arts or free-running would be his skills that aren't related to combat- something that surprises many. Though he is completely incapable of doing quite a bit properly, and normal academics are something he struggles immensely with (barely average), he is proud of his cooking, carving, and artistic eye. Enjoying painting, carving wood or marble, blacksmithing, making jewelry, and even poetry to a degree (though he hates normal writing). He also has an incredibly strong love of animals and nature, far happier eating or napping outdoors even in the cold than he is in a bed within a house or apartment. He seems to have a natural aptitude with all animals, but felines and canines especially seem to have an attraction to him- as just sitting down often causes nearby animals too often flock toward him due to his innate aura of being so similar to them.
Powers: N/A
Species Abilities: Seiken is one of the few beings that could be easily explained as a truly "evolved human" even if it was artificial, however, whereas many thinks of such things as being ESPer's and similar powers- Seiken represents the other, darker side of the same coin. If a human were to be pressured into surviving, relying on their brute power, agility and senses to hunt and kill to survive- Seiken's body would be the likely outcome. This has been noted as simply "Beast Blood" by Seiken himself, as he has delved very little into his ability due to his fear of it. None the less, this does not change the multitude passive benefits that the power has bestowed on Seiken- making him effectively as much animal or beast as he is a man.
The benefits at a glance, include the fact that all of his physical capabilities far surpass anything a normal human could ever dream- his physical abilities, size, and reaction speed all being more comparable with the great beasts of the world than a human. Capable of wrestling down elephants, keeping pace with cheetah casually, and similar physical feats- easily overwhelming such creatures if he pushes himself, or is under duress. Similarly, his anatomy isn't like normal humans- sticking to the idea of a "highly evolved predatory human" his stomach holds relatively weak acids, and a short digestive track compared to other humans- signifying his similarity to a carnivore.
His metabolism and body are incredibly advanced- keeping him immensely physically fit no matter what he may be doing with himself (though if he is active and healthier he will get a bit stronger). He is able to eat vegetables, but he gains practically no nutrition from doing so. However, the areas where much of his digestive track would be has been replaced with a much larger set of lungs, heart, and liver- amplifying his circulatory strength to match his massive size. Negating the usual ill-effects that stem from humans with large bodies.
This amplified circulatory system, combined with a heavily evolved human cells that hold far more ribosomes and extra mitochondria- with specialized stem cell production in order to ease wounds- has amplified his immune system, and healing capabilities extensive. Though he does not have "high-speed regeneration" by any means, the likelihood of him getting sick, or failing to disease, poison, or something similar is incredibly unlikely. This also allows him to effectively heal wounds at several times the normal speed that a human could recover from such damage.
For instance, a broken leg that would normally take a human three months to heal with proper bed rest and treatment, Seiken could heal within a week. Minor wounds, such as scrapes, and bruises could heal completely overnight with a good night's rest, and so forth.
Similarly, his skin, muscle, and bone are all far denser than normal humans- required in order to support his great physical capabilities- causing small to medium arms gunfire, and pretty much any blow from a human, etc to barely harm him- or do absolutely nothing generally. Comparable to trying to shoot a Rhinoceros or an Elephant with a small arms pistol- at most you'd draw blood, and just piss it off. Similarly, his jaw muscles are far stronger than a normal human's anatomy would normally allow, and his teeth are more comparable to pure concentrated super-dense carbon than bone.
However, by far the greatest aspect that stems from this feral physiology- is his amplified senses and instincts. All of his senses being immensely amplified to be comparable to animal counterparts, such as the scent of a canine, eyes of an eagle, and so forth than a human. These immense sensory capabilities, of course, can be a weakness as much as a benefit against the right opponent as he has no way to "turn them off" despite their large benefits.
These senses, however, as well as animal-like instincts grant him a borderline supernatural "sixth sense" for the danger that acts as a sort of precognition whenever he is in danger, but only if his senses somehow can pick it up in a logical way. This can give him an edge when he is being ambushed- but it does not outright allow him to be prepared for any attack, as it is in the end- an instinct. Meaning that it can be wrong if someone is simply giving off killing intent, and twitches- but doesn't actually attack, and similar actions.
Still, this "sixth sense" is useful and he often utilizes it in mid combat in order to fight on purely muscle memory, and reactions- often not even knowing what he is going to do before he does it; making him incredibly hard to predict when such is utilized alongside his martial arts (though this requires him to be mentally stable in a fight). Comparable to the reverse of these "pinnacle senses", Seiken holds what could be called "scent based camouflage"- a unique aspect that causes his body to react to the scents he picks up around him, as well as the pheromones, put out by other beings around him. Based off this feedback, his own body scent will change based on the situation and environment, the initial reasoning being to hide his scent as a predator when hiding- if he is in a field of wheat, he smells of wheat.
If he is dealing with an individual, he will smell like the closest "natural" scent to their favorite smell in order to relax them. Similarly, this means that when he is attempting to find an adequate mate, his body will instantly shift into massive pheromone production in order to ensure extreme long-term mating stamina, and increased chances of "seducing" his mate, though its not strong enough to do it on its own by any means, simply make him smell and "feel" more attractive to others in general.
However, just because he may be the "perfect predator" it does not mean he is the "perfect being". Seiken, his psychological issues aside, suffers from the same great weakness of many a predator, especially those that are large and powerful- stamina, diet, and joint-shock. Even if his circulatory system covers the blood flow weakness, large humans always suffer- sooner or later, from joint pain and damage- especially in the knee's, ankles, and elbows. Due to his increased density, and weight, combined with his natural size- these problems remain and are possibly even amplified.
Prolonged usage of his immense body, especially running or jumping, puts immense strain on his body and causes at first, an uncomfortable feeling- but with abuse, it can lead to agonizing joint pain. As well, due to the fact he can only eat meat- and his body using far more energy than normal to maintain its immense capabilities, his physical stamina is surprisingly low- not to the point that he gets winded after a few moments, but prolonged usage of his physical abilities is incredibly draining for him.
Finally, the last and possibly the largest weakness stems from the direction his "evolution" has driven him. Due to his forms complete focus on physical perfection- Seiken has lost quite a bit of his mental capabilities, it's not to say he suffers from MR, or any other severe debilitation- but he is by no means, intelligent.
Nor can he ever be, his brain having been "wired" much more simply than normal, he is prone to childish thoughts, behavior, and struggles with complex problem solving of all sorts, but especially when it relates to mathematics or mid-combat strategy- at the most he will only ever be "average" and as such anyone with a keen mind can very likely outsmart, and defeat Seiken before even having to initiate a head to head battle. The power has very much forced him in a way to think the best way to solve his problems- is to punch them, if that doesn't work- punch them harder, and if that doesn't work; stop caring.

Adoptive Father: Hai Jin Hou, 51, Military Supernatural Squad Leader †
Sibling: None.

Biography: Seiken was born to a what could only be called, a pair of monsters- artificial humans that had escaped from a laboratory trying to make human weapons and gone on a many-year-long massacre. One was his mother, Tali Chiksika, a woman who held a tremendous bestial nature and rage within her- combined with a feral evolved body and inhuman agility- a known villain, whom was given the alias "Red Claw" due to her habit of claiming the fingers of her victims and wearing them like a necklace.
The father named "Akatsuki Yamamoto", was a monolith of a man who held tremendous physical ability, size, and destructive power- nicknamed "Cronos" for his cannibalistic habits and immense size. Both were known as serial killers, villains, to the general public and considered some of the worst of their time- there was no love in their relationship, it was simply a contest on whom could cause the most chaos, with the occasional bout of lust and instinct due to both of their more bestial minds. However, when Seiken was born- they realized that the child would possibly have both of their genetic gifts combined as one.
The concept excited them to no end, the idea of holding all his mother's bestial powers and abilities, combined with her lover's immense size and power- the perfect predator, the perfect killer, someone whom could defeat even the strongest of other superhuman beings the opposed them and cause the most chaos and destruction possible. Someone capable of "restoring the law of the jungle" the pair's ultimate goal. Seiken was therefore raised to not be a son- but to be a pet, from a young age they quickly found he was like his mother, only capable of eating meat.
He was given a bowl, a collar, beaten, twisted and mocked purely for his parent's amusement. It is from this, that caused the first stirrings of the "beast" to begin to form in his mind- a self-defense mechanism given life by a terrified child, he began to black out randomly- forgetting what happened, finding his abusers left and himself severely injured. But whenever he saw his parents again they would be nursing heavy wounds, covered in bandages.
The beast continued to be his protection, his only safe envelope, he didn't know how to read or write, he couldn't think for himself, he knew only pain, darkness, and a desire to survive. This was all Seiken knew in his early life, and when he began to truly grow, it becoming apparent that the boy was- as predicted, taking after his father in size; they began to "let him loose" with them on their "field trips". It was here that Seiken began to gain access to the taste of freedom, he was collared, terrified of his parents and unable to leave their sides, but he was finally able to smell the fresh air of the world.
However, it came at a cost- his parent's trips always evolved dealing with other people, but these people were not like his parents- they were like him. Scared, screaming, abused, he felt something different stirring in him- too far gone from his own humanity to realize that it was hatred, hatred for his own parents. Not at what they had done to him, but what they did to these other people.
This hatred continued to grow, and with it so did the power of the beast- and so did his body. As the days became weeks, weeks became months, he began to go out with his parents more and more- managing to pick up the basics of vocal communication from listening to them. Socially crippled, emotionally stunted, mentally comparable to a child, or perhaps an animal- and yet that hatred every time he saw another person's terrified, crying face grew. Finally, one day- that hatred overwhelmed his fear, the beast emerged.
When Seiken regained consciousness, he was lying in a pool of blood- the parts of what was left of his parents, and the people he had intended to save, scattered around him. Terrified, he attempted to flee- however, the squadron's arrived- intending to halt his parent's actions, instead of finding a terrified thirteen-year-old boy covered in blood. Initially taken as a threat, until he cowered and snarled at them like a cornered animal- it was through a struck of luck, that a relatively well-respected teacher at SA, turned protector of the people and military tactical leader named "Golden Palm" stood up for the boy.
The boy was knocked out by his hand, and taken back- the question being raised on just what to do with the boy, eventually, it being left to first interview the child, he needed to be examined by doctors and police either way after all. This, however, proved a fruitless effort- the boy was so terrified of everyone, anyone, that he couldn't communicate even if he had wanted too. Even when he did speak, it was half gibberish, slang, a weird mixture of several different languages.
Eventually, the talk began to drift that the boy was possibly better off dead, or perhaps to be sealed away in a "special hospital" to live out the remainder of his pathetic life. No one wished to try and deal with the mentally and emotionally unstable child, that possessed such destructive power and abilities. However, be it from a whim, guilt, pity, or some other reason- Golden Palm, named "Hai Jin Hou" decided to take the young boy in- his excuse being that he had intended to retire shortly anyway.
Hai would take the young boy away from the city, the people, the dark memories- and for the next five years of his life, he would begin the process of trying to turn the beast of a boy, into a person. Taking him to the far reaches of Africa, hoping the natural world- the complete opposite of his youth of a dark cell would help him. He would teach him (with an immense struggle) sign language, how to speak, read, write, perform basic mathematics, even of the history of the world.
The process was slow, almost painfully so- his mental compatibility with such things already likely not great, and having him hampered for so many years due to his parents causing the situation to worsen to an even greater degree. Still, the man stuck to it- even as he began to learn more and more about the boy, of the darkness of the "beast" as he struggled to pull the boy off the maimed corpse of a lion that had attacked him. Even as he comforted the boy, as he wept into his hand after having beaten his first true friend to death over a simple argument.
The troubles continued, and the boy finally told him his name, the first name was all he could recall his parents briefly yelling at him- he could only assume it was his name as it was Japanese in origin, matching his father; "Seiken". However, he couldn't remember his last name- he honestly didn't even care about it or his first name, contemplating this- Hai would with a slight smile; offer the boy his own name. Seiken, in a mixture of shock and gratitude, accepted readily- taking up his mentor's last name, the only father figure he had, the only person to ever care for him.
Within Africa, Seiken and Hai would continue to grow close as the years ticked by, Seiken was behind by half a year- but he had finally managed to catch up with others his age according to Hai. It would be at this point that Hai would, finally decide it was time for Sei to face his fears- and himself, and return to the mainland. However, Seiken would react much as one would expect- a panic.
His emotions rose, and he fled away from Hai for the first time since he had met the man- running into the wildlands, to the animals he felt such kinship with, to the wild plains that had become his home for so many years. This, leading to the next greatest pain of Seiken's life- the village nearby, having long since banished him due to the murder of one of their children at his hands, had sent out a hunting party for food. Seiken, running straight into their midst- caused the exact stir that they had been prepared for, expecting a great beast they attacked without hesitation.
As the spear nicked his arm, Seiken's overwhelming panic became survival instinct- and for the first time in two years, the beast returned to him. When Seiken awoke, he sat quietly propped against a tree- blinking in confusion as he looked around him. He was covered in blood. But there was no pool of it, no bodies. However, his eyes were drawn to the single figure leaning against the tree next to him.
Hai lay there, eyes closed- the gaping hole in his stomach catching the light of the slowly sinking sun. Seiken would later find out that he had stopped him from slaughtering the villagers, driven him back, never once harming him- only knocking him unconscious when the opportunity presented itself. Despite Seiken's clawed hands ripping chunks of his body free, never once had Hai raised his hand to do him harm. Later, he would find this out- for, at that moment, he felt only cold, dead despair, withering with self-loathing for his actions.
For the next few weeks, Seiken couldn't even return to their home, hiding within the plains among the animals, he contemplated many things- ending his life at the top of the list. His self-loathing, combined with doubting he would ever find happiness due to the beast within him, nearly driving him to the point. The only thing stopping him was the knowledge that Hai had died trying to save his life- and ensure he didn't take the lives of the innocent.
He couldn't simply spit on his masters- no, his father's last actions. Forced to endure, he eventually returned- there was no farewell note, only the emptiness of the small home they had lived in the past five years. They had both left in a rush, after all. A bitter emptiness filled him, it wasn't like the stories he read- there was nothing left of his master, he was simply gone. Lost, and without direction the young man would sink to the floor, sitting, staring as he tried to understand what to do.
He remained like this for hours, until his eyes slowly trailed toward the outfit that hung from the wall- the outfit of the Golden Palm. Hai had been a Hero, he had wanted him to return to the mainland, he had mentioned some "special school". Slowly, Seiken drug himself up slowly- he felt hollow, he couldn't dare care about anything. Never again. He would just kill it.
But he couldn't ignore his master's final wishes either. He had given him everything, even his life in the end- the least he could do was become a Hero, and hold up his Master's title with pride- perhaps die saving someone as his master had. Or perhaps he would fail to be such a person and die anyway. He supposed, either way, was fine, but at the very least he knew he needed to give it an attempt. With this goal in mind, Seiken gathered the remaining money and supplies from the hut- and set fire to it, without a word as he turned and left. The monolith of a young man began the long, grating journey- he had no idea what this school even was, he had no idea where it was, but he had his master's things. He knew he could find someone, somewhere that had an idea- and from there he could follow the trail.
Through this, Seiken would eventually find his way- through contacts that took pity on him or helped him in memory of Hai, toward the school. A place called Starlight Academy, he barely managed to get in, his unusual circumstances granting him a slight leeway, inserted into the third year (barely), to be watched with immense caution and careful planning by the staff. His new life began, his goal clear, but his ambition and desire to do it- completely hollow- he felt nothing, broken, terrified of himself, and filled with only a hollow feeling tinged with self-loathing. Only time would tell if this young man could be fixed, could be helped, and if he was- could he become the hero that a small part of him, desired to be so badly?
