Most students did their best to avoid things such as libraries and reading, however Live wasn't a very typical student and she also wasn't visiting the library for any typical reading either. In fact, her interest in the library had arisen completely independently from her school work.

As her semester had dragged on, the young girl had become more and more aware of how little she actually knew about her who she was. She was surrounded by so many strange creatures and beings, most of which knew their names and how they truly came to be. Live on the other hand...well, she had found some things maybe a year or so ago hinting that she was some sort of ancient spirit guide called a Walker. It was hard to be sure though, especially when her main source of information was the Internet. However now she was at a place with a library full of supernatural information; and this was information that Live craved.

She had started visiting the library at first simply to look up more magick and such for communicating with the spirit world and for honing her powers, but had soon realized she could do some research as well.

She had been visiting the library at least once a week for over the past month. At this point she had found a great deal of information about Walkers; where they were from, how they came to be, what their purpose was suppose to be, blah blah blah. The most useful piece of information was coming to understand how exactly their connection to the spirit world worked. Other than that, it was mostly historical hubbub that didn't affect Live, especially since she wasn't created with a purpose like most Walkers; she was an accident.

Live had pouring over the same three books (the only books with Walker information she had been able to find) for the past hour. She had already read each of them straight thru once and had probably re-read them in bits and pieces three times each, however she still clung to the words as if she were seeing them for the first time.

Her eyes narrowed, her brow pulling together in frustration, as she reached the end of the page. She let out a deep sigh and closed her eyes. "There is nothing here... It's useless. I'll never GODDAMN KNOW!" With sudden and excessive force, Live shoved the book that lay open in front of her. It went flying down the table, which was about ten feet long, and slammed into the stack of books someone else had piled up at the end of the table. It went crashing down with about as much noise as it could possibly make. Live stood, not sure if she should run or pick up the pile. Her eyes darted around quickly; had anyone seen?

There were many reasons to be in a school library, especially the library of a school which revolved around magic and magical beings.

Yun was a magical being, who possessed magic while not cursed, under the influence of magic, and also a student of that school of magic even if he couldn't freaking work any of his magic it wasn't fair there were supposed to be people here who could fix this-

There was crashing and flying books going over his head what.

The black cat crouched against the table, fallen books splayed around him and making it very difficult to hold his tail safely, especially while he stared at the apparently dangerous books in alarm.

And then he very carefully peeked over the top of the surviving stacks books he'd slowly been working through.

"What the hell," he said quietly.

Live's initial instinct when she didn't see anyone else around was to run. Grab her books and shadow travel herself away from the current location. She didn't want to deal with whatever the fall out from her disruption of the quite of the library would be. That was until she saw something flame like down by the pile of books. And then a black cat peered over the books at her. And then it talked.

It was barely audible but Live could hear it. She grabbed her other two books and moved down to the other end of the table. Live hated people but she was a sucker for cats, especially black ones.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." Even through her monotone voice, Live was honestly sorry. It wasn't often that she apologized to someone but something about the eire quite of the library and the face of a cat influenced her mood. "I did not harm you did I?"

Yun peered suspiciously at the approaching girl. Every new person was a spinning die, caught on one corner on an elastic band that might sent the block flying again at any moment. Some sides were safe face up, some sides were safe face down. Every movement was a risk, a personal risk, a life-changing risk.

She seemed to not be overflowing with greed and possessiveness, at least. Yun carefully straightened and gave his ruffled fur a quick rub with a paw. The movement managed to be both perfectly feline and somehow very much not. His understanding of anatomy and familiarity with other forms, forms with hands, often led to using his cat limbs a little oddly. They were movements cats were physically capable but didn't think to do.

"They all missed me," he said. His tone was a little tight - it was always tight these days, wasn't it? - but he meant it as reassurance. "I can't recommend throwing things in public spaces, though."

Was that an attempt at a joke? He supposed it was.

Typically, anything that talked pissed Live off. But a talking cat, well that was a different story entirely. She couldn't quite place her finger on why this creature didn't cause Live's usual emotions of annoyance and anger to arise but she for whatever reason her emotions stayed almost normal.

"Well that's good. Some of these books are almost as big as you are." She gave a small smirk, hoping that it would come off as goodhearted joke as it was meant and she wouldn't offend the creature. Sometimes people got weird about their size.

She set down her books and began to pick up the books that she had knocked down, figuring cat paws probably would have some difficulty accomplishing this. However, if it was out of character for Live to not get annoyed with the cat it was nearly an out of body expierence for her to help the creature without any prompting. Maybe it was just that it gave her mind a break from the current turmoil it had been in that had caused her to throw the book in the first place.

She chuckled a bit, though it sounded dry in her throat, "Yeah, not one of my brighter moments."

This caused Live to laugh a bit more, almost like it was an inside joke. If there was one thing Live was, it sure as hell wasn't bright. Sure, she was smart but everything about her was pretty damn dark. She was even dressed in all black today, although her pentagram necklace couldn't be seen as it hung underneath her "I hate the sun" hoodie.

Oh look, a size joke. Yun squinted at the girl but held his tongue against commenting on how he could be a whole lot bigger than either the books or her. He couldn't do that right now, and he didn't feel like getting a book thrown actually at him.

Oh no, she was a teenager with problems. Yun kind of wanted to hit himself in the face with a book now. He had enough issues of his own, okay? He didn't want to pick up someone else's too.

Damn healing to all imaginable hells and horrible places. He smothered the one spark that made it out of his tail with a quickly-licked paw before it could catch on any of the flammable materials around and sighed. It was not a very dramatic sigh. He had to put effort into it not being dramatic, but of course no one would appreciate that.

"What made you want to throw it?" He wasn't a psychologist and he didn't want to be, but gahhhhhhhhhh.

Live could tell that the animal seemed annoyed with her. It was understandable. She had just knocked down his books, almost injuring him. If she was in his position she would not be keeping her cool nearly as well. In fact, she probably would have thrown a few books back.

As she finished stacking the books she knocked down she grabbed her three books and set them in front of her. She hadn't sat down and wasn't sure she was going to. She could tell this creature didn't really want her around. That was until he asked her why she threw the book in the first place. It surprised Live and she debated for a moment whether or not to even bother telling the creature. But after a moment, she let out a heavy sigh (not trying to contain the emotion behind it all).

"I'm trying to figure out what happens to my soul when I die."
