Wrath was really beginning to regret agreeing to Greed's suggestion that he limit himself to just attacking those who deserved it. He'd tried to point out that eventually Manta Carlos would run out of scum bags and he wouldn't be able to just lay around on his ass and wait for someone else to go off the deep end to be curb stomped by the Vigilante. But then he remembered that the Underground existed and that he would most likely not run out of people if he just kept running around and killing one person a day.

It was hard restricting himself to only killing on ne'er do well a day, considering that when he killed one seven more seemed to surge from the very brickwork and screech and scream and make a big deal of everything and threaten to enact their own Vigilante Justice on him.

He was lucky if he went back to the manor with only three bodies weighing heavily on his stomach.

And tonight he had killed four people. Damn it. He couldn't dispose of four bodies no matter what he tried. He was, contrary to popular belief, not bottomless. He was actually pretty sure all of the body disposal he was doing was making him sick as hell.

Wrath pressed his back against the wall and slumped down. He was a gorey mess and didn't know what to do. He couldn't leave them here, but he couldn't take them anywhere without being seen and he couldn't just eat them because he was sure if he did, A. Greed would notice and yell at him, and then B. He'd probably finally experience what sickness was like.

He...

Wasn't excited.

The only method he could see forward was to just leave them here. He couldn't risk getting sick. Temporal Demons and sickness was a bad combination.

So he sat there in aggravated silence, glaring at the four cadavers in front of him.

Mephis walked through the empty streets, his black fur blending perfectly with the shadows surrounding him, his green eyes giving out an unnatural glow, a glow that only a demon’s eyes could produce. Being what he was, he didn’t need sleep, and though he could sleep just for the pleasure of doing it, it wasn’t that pleasurable to sleep on the cold hard concrete.

He shook his fur a bit almost instinctively, his collar making a soft twinkle-like sound as he did it, his semi-glowing medallion being the cause of this. He had managed to get himself a new soul for his king, a soul that once belonged to a rather disrespectful man that picked the wrong creature to mess up with. Mephis could look like a harmless and peaceful creature most of the time, but he could turn into a bloodthirsty creature in half a second and rip the head and spine off anyone with his bare hands just for fun.

As he walked the smell of blood soon reached his nose and, dragged by curiosity, walked towards the source of said smell, finding a boy covered in blood and staring at the four corpses in front of him, obviously a bit unhappy. He could easily tell that he wasn’t upset for their death, but mostly for something else, something he couldn’t really put his finger on.

His paws carried him towards the boy, jumping in an almost disrespectful way on the head of one of the bodies, to get the higher point of view, his eyes landing on the boy’s “Why are you just staring at the corpses?” He tilted his head a bit, almost instinctively, as his deep and mysterious voice left his feline lips “Wouldn’t it be easier just to throw them in a dumpster or something?”.

Wrath sighed and looked up at the sound of a tink-tink-tinkling. It bothered him. He hoped that someone wasn't coming by to investigate the disappearance of their friends, because he really didn't want to turn these four bodies into five. That was just adding to his problems, and if he couldn't dispose of four, he definitely couldn't get rid of five dead bodies.

Except he was lucky. The tinkling noise was coming from a pretty black cat. The demon smiled. He loved cats. He was about to crawl over to it and give it a few pets when the cat spoke in a deep voice.

Well. He supposed it was a handsome cat then.

"I can't." The sin said resting his cheek on the heel of his palm. "Greed said if they found the bodies he'd punish me something awful."

Wrath kicked the closest dead body, as if he was to blame for all of this. In a way, it was. "I WAS eating them, but I think it's starting to make me sick."

Greed? An interesting name for…anyone actually, he couldn’t help but wonder if the owner of said name was that greedy to actually be named after the sin “Had you considered to carry them somewhere they would never be found? Like the forest for example?” He knew that a lot of people died on the forests, and most of the corpses were either recovered after wild animals started to feed on them or simply not recovered at all.

He had eaten some himself, but his size restricted him a bit. He could easily eat these five if he was bigger, like a bear or something like that, but then he wouldn’t be able to shift into anything smaller until he had digested the meat for obvious reasons.

“I could help you a bit to get rid of them if you want to” He jumped off the body, shifting into a big black lion, he would be able to eat up to two or three humans in that form, and he didn’t disliked it at all, so being stuck in that form for a while wouldn’t be that much of a trouble, but then…there was another one or two corpses remaining and the man was starting to get sick, they would need a plan for those.

“Had you considered to carry them somewhere they would never be found? Like the forest for example?”

"I had," the demon answered, threading his fingers into his hair, his frustrations slowly mounting. "But there's people everywhere. It'd be impossible for me to get to the forest without being seen." Maybe it would be best for him to just toss them or leave them here. At least if he left them here there was less of a chance of someone putting his name to the murders, since he could get home in a manner of seconds.

Damn it, if only these people weren't so closely knit! Then he would have only had to kill one of them like he'd planned! Damned mortals, ruining his plans. If only they could think of someone other than themselves for once.

When he saw the cat shift into a big lion, he could feel memories flashing back to him. It reminded him of his own pet, of his precious Rydon... but this cat wasn't Rydon, and he knew that Rydon wasn't super big on sharing him with other people. Still, he was grateful. "Would you really? That would be a huge help... uh... I don't know your name."

As a courtesy, he put his hand to his chest. "My name is... well, most people call me Micah... but you can call me Clyde."

“Getting rid of corpses is extremely easy, even in crowded places, you just need to know what to do” Mephis had to do that several times on the past, so he had found all kinds of tricks to carry a corpse, no matter how bloody or dismembered, right under everybody’s noses. As he said this he dragged one of the corpses towards him with his massive paw, unlike this guy in front of him, eating large amounts of human meat, even after death, wasn’t that troublesome for him. Plus, these humans were freshly killed, the meat was still fresh and he liked that.

“The name’s Mephis” He answered before digging in. He could eat almost anything, but raw human meat had been always bee his favorite food. He really wasn’t that bothered about being watched as he ate, especially since apparently this boy ate these corpses as well. He did a pretty darn quick job on the corpse, though not exactly clean, it wasn’t like if anybody would mind some blood on the streets anyways.

“What these boys did to earn the punishment of death, hm?” Part of him couldn’t help but wish that he had arrived earlier, that way he would’ve been able to take advantage of the situation and steal the four souls before they left the bodies, bad luck.

He pulled another corpse towards him, it was been quite a while since he had last eaten this kind of flesh and it was pretty obvious that he was really hungry, human food always managed to fill the void, but never satisfied him. He couldn’t tell why this happened, but it could become pretty annoying.
