The sound of Algrogath's tentacles was unfamiliar enough to distract the child from eating for a moment, but as soon as they saw that it was just tentacle suckers - their tentacles didn't currently have any of those - they went back to eating.

After only a few moments, though, the child was basically sitting on a mound of food and had to slide down the side of it to be able to reach more things that the weren't sitting on. The eating resumed, occasionally interrupted with a comment for Algrogath the Food Provider.

"I want to grow! Can I be tall like you? I want to be tall!"

"Oh, this isn't my body! This is my host Vincenzo's body." Algrogath grinned with a mouthful of needleteeth. "My true form is much, much larger."

Algrogath circled the shopping cart and started gently pushing it out into the street outside so they could, as humans said it, dine and dash. He was 100% certain that was how the saying went. When he exited the building, the sun was starting to set and the party was beginning to roll!

Algrogath smiled at the fledgling. "Let's go have fun with the humans, little one!"

"Host?" Possession wasn't something the child had learned about yet. "I want to be big..." They trailed off for a moment, clearly dreaming about being larger - and possibly mock-rampaging through the streets, to be completely honest. Not to hurt anyone or anything, just because.

The daydreaming was abruptly interrupted when the cart started moving, because then the black hole child had to wind their tentacle-tips through the holes in the sides and lift themself up, securely anchored, and grin through the free ride.

While still passing up snacks from the cart to their mouth, of course. Having multiple limbs capable of grasping such things was very useful.

"You're gonna get big, fledgling, but you must be patient! It often takes a couple of centuries before you grow into your full adult form." Of course, very few Eldritch grew big because of good, ol' family cannibalism, but being in the earthly realm should help, right? Right? Oh, well. No real loss if they get eaten.

Algrogath excitedly pushed the cart through the board walk, not even minding if the whole trip was rocky due to the uneven wooden planks. He waved at all the nice humans in their beach wear around. "Little one! Oh, I need to stop calling you little one, what is your name? Regardless, there is a dance party at the beach and we are going to attend like the 'cool cats' we are!" When Algrogath reached the end of the boardwalk and pushed the cart onto the sand, he noticed it was relatively... harder to push. but he kept pushing anyway! There was a wild dancing filled with colorful lights up ahead.

"Can you party like it's the end of the world? Like it's 1942? Like a G6?" They were weird words, but they often appeared in songs. If this child was anybody, he was sure he would understand.

"Centuries for me or centuries for everyone else?

This was a surprisingly legitimate question, given the relativity of time near black holes. Centuries to a black hole could well extend past the death of the universe.

"I don't need to be huge, I just want to be bigger!" The child's voice was a little rattly, given the bumpiness of the boardwalk, but not quite as much as it should have been. There were no lungs to resonate, after all. "I don't have a name. A PARTY? REALLY?"

The black hole child wasn't really familiar with parties, but the bits they'd heard sounded super fun, and food was often associated with them. And now they could see STUFF ahead and it REALLY looked like fun! They leaned forward out of the cart, vibrating and mouth wide in a potentially accidentally lethal grin.

"Centuries for you! Or maybe everyone else. It's very unclear. Time is an illusion and space does not exist." Algrogath's black feet sunk into the sand, and he began to push his little friend and their shopping cart around. They were at the heart of the party! Casually, Algrogath began dancing. People around him began dancing with him. It was magnificent. "And you require a name, eventually! You will not exist as a concept without a name. It's unheard of!"

Algrogath picked up a party hat and put it on the small fledgling.
