This is day where Mizuki will experience a lot of first times. It is the first time she will be going to an academy. This is the first time she has to wear a school uniform. And this is the first time that she has seen a lot of people in an area. She silently drags down a bit of her hoodie to cover up her face because she has really no idea what to do now. Many things have happened after she decided to leave the family that kept her locked in the house and impose a fate that she didn't even choose. Books have been her friends back then but they didnt taught her the right thing to do now that she is out of the grasp of the Yuki clan.

Sighing loudly, Mizuki walked toward the open door and proceeded to look for her classroom. She had her head down all the time that she is walking that she didnt even notice how she was going deeper inside. She only stopped when she realized that no student has passed her for a long time now. She looked at her watch and was alarmed to see that was late for her first subject. The corridors look the same so she tried walking fast in one corridor but it seems like she was going nowhere. The first words that came out of her mouth that day is "I'm lost".

Not everyone wandering alone in the back hallways of the academy were lost. Some of them just liked exploring, and some of them were coming back from meetings with professors.

Maybe if that professor hadn't been so emotionally messed up, he could have unwound Yun's curse. Tch. So many useless people here. He had to keep trying, though. It was the only viable option. Keep trying, keep fighting, keep putting himself at risk for the chance that he would be able to escape this rut. This wasn't living, being in this state.

Someone was lost? Huh? The fire-tailed black cat paused mid-stride and glanced around. He'd heard - oh. There. Now he smelled the girl. Not far off his age, from the looks of it... not that anyone else would be able to tell, not while he was stuck in cat form. He didn't even know what his human form looked like anymore. Whatever. This wasn't the time to be depressed and nostalgic.

"Are you looking for something or just the way back?" he asked abruptly, voice a little forceful but pleasant enough for him. "This wing does get a bit confusing."

Miyuki jumped a little when she heard someone talk behind her. Being confined in a house for several years made her a bit insensitive about her surroundings because no one would try to approach so suddenly in fear of losing their life. Talking a huge breath, she slowly turned round to look for the owner of the voice. She didn't quite catch what the stranger said as she was surprise by the sudden question. Bracing herself for whatever await her, the girl has her hands around her fan.

When she fully faced the the direction of the voice, Mizuki was surprised to see a feline. She immediately let go of her supposed to be weapon and then proceeded to kneel down to get a better look at it because she only saw them in children's book. She let her guard down and put on a childish face, the one thing that she kept from her so called family, as she tries to pet the cat. She was so happy to meet a cat for the first time that she didn't question the flame on its tail and the voice that made her turn around in the first place.

Sheesh. Jumpy kid. Yun wasn't like that when he'd arrived here~

But then he'd known about magic and nonhumans and whatnot; he was from a magical community and had always known that he wasn't human. There were plenty of people here who couldn't say that. Maybe after his curse was gone he could bother to be sympathetic.

Not right now. Right now, he had an idiot girl to educate. As her hand came down towards his head, Yun hissed and snapped his tail towards her, the blue-white fire spitting copper sparks , and he skipped backwards out of reach.

"It's rude to touch people without asking," he said flatly, ears low against his skull and his copper eyes narrowed. "And never assume that anything here isn't a person... ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY'VE ALREADY TALKED TO YOU."

He huffed. Sheesh. How dense could she be?

Mizuki slightly flinched when some of the sparks when to her arm as she was unaccustomed to anything hot. "I didn't know that cats can speak," she silently muttered while clutching her right hand. She had lived for 16 years now but she still as naive as a baby to the world. Her family kept her in the main house for so long that she never knew the other parts of the magical world. And she hated them for that.

She pouted for a while until a brilliant idea came to her mind. With a flick of her hand, she produced a ice mouse out of mid air. Her teacher always told her not to use her ability in public but she wanted to b careless for once. She brought the gift in front of her new found interest with a small smile forming in her lips. She didn't bother with the tone of the said cat person while talking with her a bit earlier. Her full attention is on the feline that her earlier trouble has been erased from her mind.

He was the first thing that caught her curiosity that she won't let anything get in the way of knowing about the interesting creature.

Didn't know cats could talk. Oh come on. "I am not a cat, " Yun growled, "and this is Manta Carlos-"

She did not. Seriously. Seriously. An ice mouse. A freaking mouse. Could he get any less impressed? No. Not really. He stared right at the girl and raised the side of one lip slightly. "Are you deaf or stupid?" He snarled, uninterested in mice. This form got him into trouble sometimes, with things like catnip and laser pointers, but mice?

No. Just... No. "I am not a cat and I am not fucking interested in mice. What do you take me for- actually, no. Don't answer that. I really don't want to know what's going through your airy little head."

Kneeling down to get a better view, Mizuki listened attentively to the feline to avoid him getting angries towards here. She really wants to let him but the death vibes coming from him prevented her to do what she wishes. Awkward silence began to settle between the two so she started the conversation right from the very beginning. After searching for the right words, she said, "I do think that I am a bit lost".

And that was it. She was never an outspoken person and that one sentence had required all of her guts and effort. She shifted her weight to her right leg because the latter is on the brink of cramps. " I really want to pet him," she said to herself. Her focus went to the ground in an attempt of resisting the urge that might put the person in front of her in a worse mood.

An unsure smile broke out at her lips while she patiently waits for the other person to speak. The scene that she imagined when she would meet the first student, who she hope to be friends with, in that school is significantly different with the scene that is now happening in real life.

The girl seemed to be learning, at least. Although... she clearly had a lot to learn still. Yun sighed. Why did he have to keep running into kids who knew so absolutely little about the world? Not even the magical worlds, but just life. Like how to talk to someone and communicate and transfer information.

"Where are you trying to go?" he asked, forcing himself to be as patient as possible. Why did he have to be helpful? Well, he didn't, but damn it he was a healer and even if he couldn't heal right now he was still supposed to help people. If all he could do was educate idiots a bit and get them less lost, he supposed he would have to do that.

As long as she didn't try to pet him again. "How much do you know about non-humans and magic in general?" he asked tiredly. More information might smooth this out a bit.

"...trying to find my classroom", she silently said as she turned her focus to the floor. At last, her earlier dilemma has finally returned in her mind process. The feeling of being alone in a new place came back to her and it came as a constricting feeling inside her. Her vast knowledge can't help her in this kind of situation. But she chose to be in this academy and she is gonna stand with her decisions. She was new to the harsh reality outside of the gates of the main house but she has long realized that life is indeed very complicated.

Her eyes returned to the feline and she attentively waited for the next words he would utter. She is a girl with few words. With nothing else to do, she started to play with her fingers.

"How much do you know about non-humans and magic in general?" She don't know how to answer him. She was born in a family where they praised and served the Gods for a very long time however, she was kept in the dark about other people like her with the same ability or others who have abilities. She shook her head. "I know nothing." She knows nothing and it brought her shame. She feels like she is going back to being the way she was back then. A very passive kid.

"Well, this is the wing with offices, not classes." Completely lost and not bright enough to turn around when the signs all changed. "At least this is a school; the point for most people here is to learn."

With a flick of his flaming tail, Yun started trotting down the hallway, back the way the girl had come. "You have a name? I don't like calling people things like 'girl' in my head. It's just weird, and reducing people to things like that is horrible. Mine's Yun Masamune, by the way."

Despite his size, Yun set a quick enough pace that the girl would have to do more than dawdle if she wanted to follow him back.
