Coatzin sighed, passing a hand through the long colorful feathers on her head “I know that asking my dad would be a bit easier…but I can’t just fly all the way back to Mexico and look for him all over the place. He never really understood how to use the cellphones, so calling him isn’t an option” She knew that she should’ve been a bit more adamant when trying to teach her dad how to use modern technology.

He knew the basics, but since he never saw the true need of using technology when he had lived for so long without it he lost interest in learning pretty quickly. Now she was regretting to just had let him drop the subject and forget about it “I would really appreciate it if you could transcribe it, I don’t mind waiting” She got a bit nervous when the next question was asked “Well…hum, there is this tiny little thing-”.

“Oh come on!” She almost jumped off her seat when she heard Mikistli’s voice, she knew that this time she wasn’t talking inside her head, but was showing herself to the world, tired of waiting. She looked at the mirror, where she was looking at them…or more like glaring “The Mirror Curse, you know how to get rid of the fucking thing?!” Unlike Coatzin, Mikistli went straight to the subject and wasn’t willing to sugarcoat it or ask nicely, she wanted her answer and she wanted it immediately.

Tucker laughed softly, "That must be quite troublesome for you then, is it?" he said, momentarily glancing at Tamara who was now looking at him. He could read the expression on her face that looked a little something like 'you're making fun of me aren't you?' It wasn't too far from that. Tucker somehow liked playing hide and seek with her that she could never really track him down considering for the two of them, he moves across countries.

"I'll probably need my other spell book so I might not be able to return you medallion but I might be able to give it back tomorrow afternoon at the earliest," he said, gently laying the the medallion next to he spell book he'd been reading earlier.

“Well…hum, there is this tiny little thing-”. “Oh come on! The Mirror Curse, you know how to get rid of the fucking thing?!”

Both Tucker and Tamara were surprised at the sudden interruption but it never showed on Tucker's face. Tamara, on the other hand: her eyes widened both with shock, astonishment, and a little bit of fear as Coatzin's counterpart revealed itself in the mirror.

"I see we had another guest," Tucker said calmly, turning his attention to the mirror where he'd heard the voice ring from, "No wonder I could feel a presence," he added, greeting Mikistli. His gaze flickered to Tamara whom he'd noticed she was shaking her head side to side. Tucker took it as her not knowing about this.

Tucker picked up the mirror on his desk, holding the mirror in front of him, completely unfazed by the glare she was giving them. "A Mirror Curse, is it?" he echoed as he made his way to the other side of his desk where the other two were. He made a quick gesture over the mirror and similar invocation circles appeared for a moment, which then vanished after only a couple of seconds.

"I have no qualms about unlocking spells but lifting curses isn't really something I do often." He's read it somewhere, about the alter egos of Quetzlcoats but he'd never think he'd meet both in one setting. "I'm not really saying I can't but... there are things I don't pry into unless something good comes out of it. Mostly for me." Just as Mikistli was straightforward about her goal, Tucker made it clear he was just so with his motives.

Tamara was just sitting there, having mixed feelings of surprise and horror. Did he just turn her down??

Coatzin nodded “Take your time, I really don’t mind waiting at all” She didn’t exactly like to be away from her precious medallion. Not because of the precious materials or the spell contained by it, but because it was her father’s, and consequently it had a huge sentimental value for her. But she understood perfectly that Tucker needed time to work on it.

Mikistli was literally glaring daggers at Tucker, flicking her tongue from time to time. Coatzin gulped a bit, feeling a chill down her spine when Tucker turned her down. This wouldn’t end well, she could feel it, even all her feathers started to puff up a bit thanks to how nervous she felt “How about me not making you choke to death with your own blood before throwing your mutilated corpse to the hungry animals of the forest?” Coatzin instantly stood up, no need to get violent here…and she knew that Mikistli was more than willing to comply with her threat that specific night if possible.

“I-I’m sorry for this, Mr. Tucker…Mikistli can be a bit...too violent and rude from time to time. You’ll see, she has been stuck inside the mirror world during the days since we were born, only able to come out at night, and that makes her a bit too irritable” Coatzin talked as quickly as possible without making her words hard to understand for anyone in this room. She could tell by Mikistli’s gaze that she was already planning in the best, and probably longest and most painful, way to kill Tucker. Totally not a good way for them to meet.

Mikistli’s eyes went from Tucker to Tamara for a couple of seconds, a truly terrifying smirk making its way to her lips “Or the corpse could belong to…someone else” She could tell that Tucker cared for the girl, and she was seriously considering to use her as a way to force him to bend to her will and obey her orders after all. Coatzin acted almost immediately after noticing the predatory way in which she was eyeing her, half-opening a wing in a protective way to block Tamara from her visual field before hissing just like and enraged snake, shaking her head as she glared at Mikistli.

Tucker was just about to make a retort from Mikistli's threat when Tamara abruptly stood up, the suddeness making the chair behind her topple back. Along with it was another burning talisman at her mouth. A frown made its way to Tucker's face but only for a second. "Tamara, what have I told you about the talismans--"

"Father, you can't do this!" Tamara interruped. Though her mouth didn't move, her voice run in the room as if she had spoken. Her eyes spoke a lot, it was a mix of anger and frustration; and a part of it was begging Tucker to simply work with the alter-ego. Not out of fear, but simply a will to fulfill Mikistli's order.

I-I"m sorry for this, Mr. Tucker! Mikistli can be a bit...too violent and rude from time to time. You see, she has been stuck inside the mirror world during the days since we were born, only able to come out at night, and that makes her a bit too irritable."

Tucker raised a hand slightly, telling Coatzin that it was alright. "I'll handle this, Coatzin. Tamara, behave yourself," he said, noding to each as he spoke to them. He turned back to Mikistli, redirecting her threat towards Tamara.

In all honesty, Tucker wouldn't have really cared what he'd to to her. Tamara could always bounce back. If Mikistile should dare try harming her, Tamara could never permanently die. But of course, that would be such a hassle to deal with. Finding a container was hard enough but to make sure Tamara would stay alive, he'd have to... keep her around. He'd rather not deal with that again.

"Father, please; just give her what she wants--"

Tucker raised a hand to silence her. "Tamara, I told you to be quiet," he spoke coldly. Tamara instinctively hid behind Coatzin's wing. Tucker then turned his gaze back to the mirror he was holding. "Mikistli, is it? I don't really respond well to threats. I don't work that way. Especially once you direct it towards my prized pupil." Tucker's voice was firm, and his face showed no emotion.

"I would have complied, really; A few answers would have sufficed for us to settle this but you're making me think twice."

"Father, if you would just-" Tamara would have continued but the look Tucker gave her was enough to keep her back.

Even Mikistli looked at Tamara with a surprised expression when she reacted…and with how she reacted. She was expecting begging, or maybe a defensive threat from her after hearing what she was planning to do with her father and Tamara herself.

However, her surprise soon turned into a rather devilish interest. Even after knowing how dangerous she was for everyone around she was still willing to not only to listen to her, but also she was willing to stand at her side and comply with her commands. This girl…she could definitely make a nice pet.

Coatzin gulped, looking at Tamara as she hid behind her wing. She gently placed the tip of her tail in a comforting way on her shoulder, not being able to do so with her hand instead. She was a bit intimidated as well, but she knew Mikistli well enough to know that the way that this conversation was taking would only lead to a really…awful ending. She swallowed her fear and decided to step in before this could turn any worse.

“You fucking…” “Mikistli, please…just…don’t ruin this any further” Mikistli immediately hissed at Coatzin, she hated to be interrupted “Please Sr., what do you want from us? I’ll see if we can get it to you” As she talked a couple of growls and mumbles could be heard coming from the mirror where Mikistli was, she was beyond pissed, and she wasn’t even trying to hide it at all.

Her only distraction…was Tamara. With each action she only made her interest grow, she was already considering to visit her that same night and test how committed she really as, put her through couple of tests to see if she was just bark and no bite, or if she really could turn into a worthy pet.

Seeing Coatzin's more amiable demeanor, Tucker's hardened gaze softened just a bit to match the smile he gave her. He could still hear Mikistli, obviously still angry about his response from earlier but Tucker wasn't really joking. He didn't like being forced to do things against his will; he was more likely to not cooperate.

"It's nothing immediate," Tucker said, turning his gaze back to the mirror. Tamara seemed to have silenced herself but if Coatzin even looked at her, she'd be able to notice that she was only waiting--if Tucker says anything against either of them, she had some words.

"Basically, I might ask you questions about your origin every now and then--Ah, don't worry, I won't make them too personal. That's really all there is to it. What did you expect?"

Coatzin returned the smile at Tucker, though her’s being slightly more nervous thanks to everything that happened in the last couple of minutes.

As soon as Tucker’s gaze landed on the mirror again, Mikistli shoot a killer glare at him, inside her head thousands of ideas to cause him the worst death possible making themselves present. However, she decided to say nothing, she still needed this man’s help to get rid of the Mirror Curse, but once that was done she was going to hunt him down for sure.

Coatzin let out a deep sigh that she didn’t know she had been holding until now, relieved to see that Tucker was still willing to help them “I’ll gladly answer whatever question you may have, Sr.” Coatzin didn’t really had anything to hide anyways. Yeah, she wouldn’t be around telling the secrets that had been trusted to her, but she was sure that Tucker couldn’t care less about those.

Mikistli hissed and crossed her arms, looking away “Fine” Unlike Coatzin she was a lot more reluctant to answer Tucker’s questions.
