"You don't have to cross it, no. That is if you don't want to walk around to get the the other side." Axel coughed to herself, wondering why the man had asked such a question. "Do you want to go there or?" She put her left foot back to motion towards the river.

Ishikawa Yuuto

"Then we should be on our way," Ishikawa said firmly. Normally, he would have no issue with going on alone but for some reason, he could not shake that sick feeling of venturing into an unknown territory by himself. That was completely irrational of him, seeing as he had been doing that for years. But a forest was a forest and the night held many creatures and his mind was already starting to -already had but he was in denial- fixate on that idea.

"You lead, I suppose. I will follow."

"Who said I wanted to go with you?" She scoffed rather loudly, as she didn't see the reasoning behind her having to come along. "Are you scared of the dark or something?" She teased as she took a step back.

Ishikawa Yuuto

Of course she was going to be difficult. Ishikawa had no idea why he had thought that she might do something as, for example, act like a reasonable adult. The fact her taunt was halfway to the truth had nothing to do with his irritation.

Besides, he was never one to back down from a challenge. "What, are you afraid of me then?" The priest turned to her then, carefully keeping the scowl off his face. A slight frown took its place. "I suppose it is a rather common piece of advice to not go off with strangers. Every child in the world must know that."

"Like I'd be afraid of you." She scoffed, as the thought amused her more than anything. She was hardly ever scared of anyone; let alone people that seemed so desperate. "And you're definitely some weird ass stranger to me, nothing more." What topped it was that they had met in a creepy forest.

Ishikawa Yuuto

For a moment, a vague sense of nostalgia washed over him. It was strange, seeing as neither of his siblings were in any way like this woman. Thinking of his siblings, however, was an awful idea somewhat ridden with guilt. He would have to contact them some day, maybe drop a suggestion towards somebody else to make the call for him. No reason to upset them and do it himself. If they knew he was still present, that would be unfortunate as Ishikawa was becoming uncertain whether or not he wanted to be exorcised or not. It all still did not seem completely real to him. He wanted to believe that somehow, he was anything but dead. There was all the time in the world for that.

"Excellent," he deadpanned. "Then we should be going." Approximating which direction that the woman had come from, he started that way.

He still had no idea where he was going but, well. Pride prevented him from turning around and begging for her help.

She only watched as the man watched so eagerly in front of her. He had no idea where he was going, but his attitude excited her. "Alright then, I guess I'll let you lead the way, considering it seems that you know the way better than I do." A sly smirk went across her lips as she put her hands behind her back. "You seem rather, anxious there buddy." Her pace sped up in order to be almost beside the man, encase he got lost. The man looked so noble compared to Axel herself, like he was all high and mighty; which would explain a lot.
