"Are you insulting my clothing style?" Not that it overly ticked her off, but Axel thought that her current style was rather fashion forward; then again she wasn't that concerned about it. "You're one to talk, we aren't going on a history lesson through wherever you think that would look good to wear in public. Wake up to where you are, as well as the year." It was absurd to make fun of her clothes when he was obviously the one that needed some fashion police. "Oh, right, you would never try to damage your poor dignity to get just a bit wet. I'm surprised you didn't have a heart attack when that water splashed you, princess."

Oh yes, did his statement set her off. Atom had been many things, including a piece of garbage, but he had been her piece of trash that had saved and ruined her life all over again. Axel tried to calm herself, which took a lot as she really wanted to just turn her ring into a chainsaw and hack him up. Restrain. Breathe. She nodded, as if she was agreeing. Yes, oh yes, she could have gotten a fair few people, but that didn't matter and it wasn't up to this dress wearing man to decide that for her. With that, she sighed and moved into shallower water, until they were about 4 inches apart.

Her head was at the same height as his kneecaps, as there was quite a divot in the distance between the river and where they had been standing. "You didn't know anything about him, asshole. So don't try to use that card on me." Her anger was visible in her expression. "Furthermore, you don't know me, so don't think you can get under my skin my merely poking fun at my life." She half smiled as she finished her monologue. "Now... You are getting in this water." Then, as if it was instinctual, her hand latched around his leg as she forcefully pulled him towards her. The poor thing was so uptight.

Ishikawa Yuuto

Ishikawa regretted absolutely nothing, despite having the same instinctive knowledge that all men did -next to demons, an upset woman was one of the worst things to have to deal with on any given day of eternity. Maybe his lack of foresight came from growing up alongside his sister the living saint but in any case, he neglected to honestly pay the woman in the river any especial mind until she broke from her normal ranting to actually announce that he was going to join her.

He stumbled back too late and the woman's hand closed onto his leg. His eyes widened and, finally at the point of genuine distress, a stuttering "Wait" tore out of his throat. She tugged. He fell into the river with a shriek.

The rocks in the riverbed pitched into his knees and palms and with faint wonder, he had a moment to realize that it hurt in an abstract way. The pain flared but the second his notice fell upon it, the sensation was extinguished, as if it had merely existed to fill an exact amount of experience and nothing more or less. Disturbing, but not as much as what was about to happen.

Moments after hitting the water, Ishikawa was overtaken by cold dread and the distinct truth of helplessness. It was only a foot of water but that was enough, evidently. He could feel the current dragging parts of his very being away, a sensation that was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. It simply was and that was the most frightening aspect of it.

He shared a look with that horrible woman. As empathetically as a person being quietly dissolved could, Ishikawa hissed a sharp"Damn-!" before the water swept him under and pushed his now invisible and completely immobile mass of soul and ectoplasm downstream.

The distress on his face was something that Axel hadn't expected. The man that had just spent the last few minutes insulting her, he looked utterly horrified. She didn't let go, or even loosen the grip on his leg. There was no sympathy in her at that moment, so even when he asked her to stop for a moment, she didn't. Even then, the look he gave while on the water was a lot worse. It was almost like he peed himself but he wasn't going to admit to that. It was a weird face to say the least, one that Axel seemed almost lost on.

But then... He got swept away? Axel wasn't ashamed to say that she reached out her hands to try to catch him, as it wasn't everyday when a river made someone completely disappear. Though, once he was out of sight, Axel felt weird and icky. With great speed, the divorced girl sprang out of the water and stood up a few feet from it. Her eyes squinted at the water, as if she would be able to see the dress wearing guy. Nothing.
