"Ah, I guess I can respect that." She nodded to his statement, as it was hard to be alone on such an island. It seemed as if you always ran into someone; especially when you didn't want to. "I guess I wanted to be alone for a bit. There were some things that I needed to sort out in my head."

"This is a rather odd place and time for that," he said. A normal forest could still be a dangerous place a night, even if it lacked the dubious honor of being labeled Forbidden. "Unless you actually live out here?" He doubted that, however. She seemed far too clean for that.

"Eh, the word forbidden doesn't scare me." She rolled her eyes to look to her right, then rolled them to her left. "Sadly no, but I know people that do, I've seen them and has minor conversations and such." She glared back at him. "I have an apartment. What about you?"

Ishikawa ignored her question, looking more in the direction from which she had come. "It is still quite a distance for a mere walk." His eyes dropped down to her hands, then. There was a band around one of her fingers. "You may be missed."

"It's a good walk, considering I usually have my pet wolf with me. It's nice for us." He was at home right now, sleeping as he was a bit sick today. She glanced down at her hand. "Oh, I'm divorced." She said, so emotionless that it was kind of hard to believe. "I just keep it on because it's a sentient ring."

A normal person might have offered their condolences but seeing as they had only just met, Ishikawa simply chose not to. He did blink at the sentient ring part, however.

"In a way." She really didn't know what exactly her ring as, as so far it didn't talk or have its own thoughts, but she knew it would. There was some underlying feeling that this ring would become a lot more than just a bad memory. "It shifts into objects I think of, or gives me items for the emotion I am feeling?"

"Is there a river on that side?" He changed the subject, indicating towards the direction she had come from. "There is no point in lingering. If that path is quicker than retracing my steps, I think I will try that."
