As Snow continued her story, Hal could only look at her with horror as the scene played in his head, detail by detail, like it was clipped out from a movie — the only thing was, it happened in real life and Hal was just there, sitting as he heard her story. He felt a chill down his spine just having to hear what happened and he was suddenly scared about the animatronic in front of him.
Would that mean then that this specific robot was the one the guard was stuffed into? Hal could only imagine the fear that the guard had when her body was dragged and hidden away like that. When Snow continued, Hal was suddenly thankful he'd finished his pizza before he asked because he was sure his appetite just died having to picture a rotting body. Curse his powerful imagery.
" They took away the decaying body and clea-a-aned the suit perfectly, e-e-everything in complete secret. But even after tha-a-at the soul never could leave the animatronic…and now it’s simply lost-st, with no idea of why-y-y she’s even still here.â€
It was then the feeling of puking slowly faded and all Hal could feel was... a mix of sadness and anger. He gritted his teeth. The news of a dead body in an animatronic suit would have been devastating for whichever place it was in, but knowing how it all came down to that made Hal furious. Not even Snow's cheery smile could even get that out of his chest.
"Did... did anyone ever investigate what happened?" Did anyone else ever find out what really happened... to you? Hal wanted to ask. It was unfair; she was there for a job and leaving her death unsolved felt like they had just disrespected her.
Somehow, Hal felt like he wouldn't be surprised if the reason why the ghost was still there was that, maybe, it was still looking for her murderer. Maybe the ghost that haunted the pizzeria was harming others because of that incident about the intruder that took her life.
