The Behavioral Corrections Facility, colloquially known as "The Islets," is a facility located on the largest of the islets bordering
Manta Carlos City. Originally established in the early 1900s, the facility was founded with the goal of rehabilitating new arrivals to the island so that they could join society once more. In 1926 the Behavioral Corrections Facility replaced a more standard prison system due to its successful track record.
Today the facility services both students and citizens in separate wings, and also takes voluntary commitments (to avoid anyone committing a crime just to get a place there). Likewise there is a third "High Security" wing for special cases, where those considered to be an imminent danger to themselves and others are held.
