Downtown
The center for business and
Government, the Downtown areas of Manta Carlos are what you might call the city proper. Here you will find most businesses, the Manta Carlos
Police Department headquarters, and the majority of public transportation. This is where most of city life occurs and where all of the city's museums and art exhibits can be found. A majority of restaurants are also located here. The dimensional portal hub can be found here.
Uptown
More commonly referred to as the Residential areas, these locations tend to be out and away from the main hubs of activity within the city. These include both tenement apartments and curated neighborhoods, but also more private residences further away from the city and even suburban areas, such as manors belonging to older citizens. Manta Carlos General Hospital can be found here, away from the main hub of urban life.
The Strip
This area of the city hosts the majority of what you could call Manta Carlos' night life. Here is where you will find the brothels, the bars and strip clubs, and more. While a number of the businesses in the Strip operate around the clock, the entire area truly comes alive after the sun sets.
Oceania Park
Oceania Park is a massive, sprawling area of curated nature within the city. Flower paths and open patches of grass that can be played or picnicked are separated by clean dirt and gravel paths. Fountains can be found at the terminals and junctions of many paths. The Manta Carlos Community Center can be found here as well, off to one side so as not to intrude on the park itself.
Mertown
Officially named the Manta Carlos Aquatic District, this area is colloquially known as Mertown. It is a small bubble town off the coast of
Manta Carlos City proper, with living accommodations, shops, and entertainment for anyone who needs constant exposure to salt water to live. For land dwelling visitors, a temporary underwater breathing spell and miniature trained aquatic animals allow them to move around as easily as the aquatic residents.
