Starlight Academy's primary goal is to grant the supernatural residents the same opportunities that normal humans have the world over. The school is funded by wealthy benefactors, primarily alumni and those who want to see the supernatural community flourish.

Academy Buildings appear old and manor-like, with elaborate architecture and towers. However the school school also utilizes modern technology and magic to enhance the . Classrooms usually feature a "universal language" enchantment that allows teachers and students to understand each other no matter where they come from.
Starlight Academy provides mundane education up through the doctoral level, as well as magically inclined education for those who want it. It is not the only school on this island, but the others that are active are smaller, more specialized private schools.
