Since that incident with the hospital, Adelene's become afraid of the hospital for Lochlann, too, just as he was for himself. She cringed at the words that felt so taboo to her now, looking up at Leon and shaking her head at him.

"It's okay, Leon."

She knew Lochlann well enough to know that they shouldn't push this.

"So they're dirty. Okay, but make sure you'll be okay, okay?" she added after turning to Lochlann, putting up a small fake smile.

She shouldn't be smiling though. The mere sight of Lochlann stepping away from her... it was heartbreaking. Her sad eyes reflected that.

She motioned with her hand that Lochlann should indeed join their walk, and she was more than willing to push the heavy aura away so he could be more comfortable around her and Leon. She started walking backwards, while looking at the two men and holding out her hands as if to pull them both closer and get them walking as well.

"So anyway, about swords." She did her best to stic

Leon just blinked. Really dirty? Well, he wasn't going to push it anymore. Lochlaan didn't want to show his hand that was fine. Everyone had things they did that confused others and Leon was no different from time to time. Leon figured he'd just keep an eye on Lochlaan just to be safe. Couldn't have the guy feeling anymore awkward by their presses.

Leon almost grabbed Lochlaan's hand directly after he noticed the look Adelene had. It wasn't all too obvious, but Leon had seen her expressions enough to know she was saddened. He promised himself he wouldn't allow that look to reappear, but this time it seemed he had no choice.

Leon smiled at the mention of swords. Now there was a topic he could really get behind without any problem. Well, he was a magic knight so his swordplay was one of his pride and joys. Along with exercise....And Adelene, but that was a different through altogether.

"You could say that. My powers revolve around my ability to summon swords and use the properties they have. Thanks to my mother's own powers, I basically inherited her ability to mimic magic after seeing it. I can imbue my swords with magic properties though I need help with certain ones. Mostly elemental stuff."

The way he spoke, the pride just flowed through. Leon was always prideful over his swords and how he took after both his parents. As to demonstrate, and Adelene mentioned the sword he made, Leon held out his hand as Revolved appeared in its sheath once more. He had to pause for a moment to regain his balance. Summoning and desummoning so quickly always made him feel dizzy slightly, depending on the amount of times he did it. Leon pulled Revolver out of its sheath and held it up into the air, the flat part of the blade once inches from his nose.

"The sword I made symbolizing my friendship with Adelene. What do ya think? Compared to the others this one is far more special and has evolved a bit. And it isn't a pain to carry and show. Holding Eruption can be annoying sometimes. Like holding a burning stick and expecting not to get burned time to time."

By this point Leon had already moved on completely from talking about Lochlaan's hands. They went to swords and Leon went sword. Cause, ya know, swords are awesome....Leon has a simple mind sometimes.

Lochlann kept his distance as they walked, staying just close enough that anyone looking by would know he was walking with them, but far enough away that he couldn't accidentally bump into either of them.

"He made a sword from you gun?" Lochlann asked, and then it seemed like Leon was about to quite literally show them.

As soon as the blade was in the air, Lochlan took a hurried step to the left, making the distance between them grow even more. A sword, made from Addy's gun, that symbolized their...friendship.

Something ironclad and dangerous to keep monsters away.

"It looks....sharp," Lochlann said. He was trying, he really was, but he didn't know much about swords since he could barely even touch one. "It must have been difficult to make. How did you go about transforming a gun into a sword?"

Lochlann took another sip of his flask, eyeing Addy and Leon hesitantly before dropping his eyes back to the ground and watching where he walked.

While she was pretty hyped herself about Revolver, Adelene suddenly realized that it was probably not that good an idea to show it off. It came to her when Lochlann stepped away from the sword like Revolver was very dangerous, and she was reminded that Lochlann was allergic to iron. Revolver was made from magic, but of course his reaction was predictably the same as when it were a sword made of real metal.

"Um..." Her worry was growing. As was the awkward air around them. She smiled sheepishly at the two, unconsciously reaching for the tips of her hair to the right of her face. Why was Lochlann so... down? She really wanted to know, but maybe not while Leon was around. There shouldn't be anything touchy for now, since she knew the two guys weren't really close. "Yeah, I believe Revolver is kinda like a gun-sword hybrid..?" She wanted to change the topic again, but how? She tried not to show it, but she really thought hard about it, and she was silent and stuck in thought for a few seconds.

She can't think of anything.

Leon wasn't all that surprised when Lochlann took a few steps back after he summoned Revolver. Leon wasn't exactly being careful, not on purpose mind you. It was just him showing off and not realizing it. It was making him uncomfortable that much was clear. Putting his hands back into his pocket as Revolver disappeared, he tried to make things more light.

"Not made from her gun, I just used my ability to mimic certain aspects of people's powers, Adelene's crystal formation when she summons things, and made a sword from what I saw. Since she had made a gun at the time it's what my mind copied. And yes, all my swords are rather sharp. Think of it like my willpower. They won't dull, but they'll always shine."

Leon made it seem like he hadn't picked up anything. If he had to guess given how the two were acting, it was similar to how some of the girls he took out on dates acted. Because of how he was, Leon would never bring this to light. He wanted what was best for Adelene even if it wasn't him.

"Say I have an idea. I know Adelene and I just finished lunch, so how about some dessert? If I remember right there's an ice cream parlor not far from the Academy. My treat, so what do ya say?"

Leon's own way to change the topic and get everyone into a better mood. He just wished he knew how to deal with the situation more. He wanted Lochlaan to feel more welcome and not afraid of him or being around him. After all though it could just be his mind telling him things over what was really there. Lochlann could just be really weird and that was alright.

"Pretty sure they sell shakes and other frozen treats so there should be something for everyone."

"Oh," Lochlann said, both in response to Adelene and then to Leon. A lot of this was going over his head, but he nodded politely and did his best to try and follow the conversation.

Part of him was very interested, and it would be evident in the way that his eyes lingered on the blade. He'd always wanted to know what it would be like to touch something like that.

But you have a small voice said in the back of his head. You touched a blade made by demon magic and it didn't burn your hands. You don't even remember.

"You seem to know a lot about Adelene's powers," Lochlann said, and then realize the comment didn't have the innocent ring to it that he'd honestly intended. Did that mean she trusted Leon more than him? He didn't blame her. He'd been telling her not to trust him for months; it was a good thing that she'd listened.

"It's very beautiful," Lochlann said, and he tried to give Leon and Adelene an apologetic smile. Everything he did just looked tired. "You should both be proud of it. It's a wonderful collaboration."

He closed his eyes and took another sip of his flask. When Leon menionted the ice cream place, Lochlann's response was automatic.

"The place with the cows on the napkin holders? They do have very good shakes," Lochlann said. Shit. He'd just agreed to go and get ice cream with them. He was supposed to be....

....What was he supposed to be doing again? He felt sort of like he was in a dream, or maybe a nightmare. Really, at this point, what was the difference?

God he was really ruining everything.

"I'll walk you two there," Lochlann said. "It's a nice day out. It feels good to be outside, especially after that storm last night."

Talking about the weather. Reaaaall smooth. He kept his eyes trained on the ground. Safe. Safe. Safe.

For some reason it's not notifying me when there's responses or I'm tagged. I just let Kyros know, but if you see me in the cbox please poke me! Sorry about my delay!

Leon's natural honesty about his opinions was a weird but wonderful thing. Adelene's gotten used to the weird part by now, so she didn't feel awkward about them anymore. But she can't quite ease up, not while noticing small worrisome hints in Lochlann's responses.

She shook them off. Dessert was a better idea than the ones that stubbornly filled her head.

"I've heard of it, but I've never really tried their stuff," she said, glancing at the direction of the main gate where they seemed to be heading next. And then she turned back to the other two, although she was mostly looking at Lochlann again. "Walk us there? Do you need to leave soon?" She hasn't forgotten about Lochlann's mood and his reaction when they wanted to see his hand, but she assumed it was nothing urgent.

She didn't want him to go. It would be nice if the two dearest people to her also get to know each other more and become friends. That might make everything easier for her. She might stop being confused if she can always see the two together. It was hard to choose between them, it almost felt like she can't.

She slightly shook her head. She had to stop thinking so much.

"Ah, anyway, let's go!"

"I think so?"

It was a question. Leon really could not remember what the place was like, just that it was there. It seemed that everyone agreed to the plan, but something wasn't sitting right. While he was asked not to be soo...Forceful or blunt when asking Lochlann if things were alright, but the way he said that he'd walk them there was weird.

"Man if you were invited, no need to just walk us there. I said I'm treating both of you. I mean unless it is rather important then at the least let me buy you something there."

Leon honestly wanted Lochlann to come along with them. If he was what he suspected, then he wanted to get to know the guy better. Not to try and find an edge mind you, but to understand him more and become friends. Who knows?

"Oh right. Uhh, to be honest I don't know much about Adelene's powers. I just know she can form things that she has used before and as long as she can use them. Sides powers are, well, powers. Doesn't mean they make us who we are. She's fun to be around and a lovely person."

His tone simply said "She's a great friend." As much as he felt for her, making her really embarrassed right now wouldn't do any of them any good. He made a promise and he was gunna keep it. But why did he feel the need to show off more? He sword off Revolver and pretty much said 'I have money' while generally being nice but did it mean more in the back of his mind? Bah stupid thoughts.

"You got that right about the storm. Wanted to go for an after dinner run, but after the last time I was out in the rain, well, I think Adelene might hurt me for running through the rain again."

Leon scratched his head while glancing over and giving Adelene a sly grin about that day. It still made his mind wander more and more as each day passed. Maybe he was wrong to ask it again that day. He couldn't tell exactly, but he wondered how Adelene was feeling in all this. If his guess was right and if Lochlann had confessed? Man his mind was going places today it seemed.

It seemed like they hadn't been there before, which gave Lochlann an opportunity to try and seem like less of a sack of potatoes.

"They have good shakes," Lochlann reiterated. "And supposedly they've got all these different flavors of soft serve, but they alternate them every week so you never know what the flavor of the week is until that Monday."

He shrugged. "I used to go there after school when i got back from--"

Rehab.

He faltered.

"--my trip. I'd meet a tutor there. It's the only reason I know about the place."

He was so tired. Lochlann pinched the bridge of his nose with his free hand, keeping his eyes focused on the ground. It was taking a lot of effort to force his feet in front of each other. It was only his stubbornness that he was still standing. He should probably call Chloe before he did something stupid, because Lochlann was feeling like making a mistake.

"Yeah, she is something, isn't she?" Lochlann agreed to Leon's assessment of Adelene. He didn't elaborate further, though his eyes did dart to Adelene's face as the words left his mouth. He almost stumbled though, so he trained his gaze back on the ground.

She'd been in the rain with him.

For some reason, that statement was the final thing Lochlann needed to hear. He could step back, quietly remove himself, and let Addy and Leon be happy.

"The rain messed up a lot of my plans," Lochlann said.

He wasn't doing so well at this whole conversation thing. He was trying, he really was.

"So uh....." he searched his mind and finally came up with a topic. "How did you two meet?"

There was still flattery in there. At least, Adelene still felt so, and as a reaction she'd smile at the two, albeit shyly. "For the record, I'd be a boring nerd without you two."

Two situations instantly flashed before Adelene at the mention of the storm. One was that day in the shed with Lochlann, when she found out that he had problems with water and was allergic to iron, and another was that rainy day when Leon visited her apartment soaking wet from running under the rain. Both memories were important to her, even though both has their awkward moments she'd deny remembering.

"Ah yes... That day, Leon went to my apartment instead of texting me or making a call. Very careless act right there," she tried to sound indifferent. She was telling for the sake of telling; she honestly felt like it was better for both guys to know their rain issues. "There was also a time Loch and I were stuck in a shed because of the strong rain." She shivered and briefly hugged herself before dropping her hands again. "That was a cold day."

She stopped walking backwards for a moment. She felt like she was going to stumble down anytime soon, so she had to face the direction they were heading just long enough to gather where the trees and the notable lumps in the ground were. And then she turned back to Leon and Lochlann again, a thoughtful look covering her face. She turned to Leon as she tried to remember.

"I was being a sad and lonely person in the lake when Leon came up and asked me what's wrong," she answered, turning to Lochlann. "That was around the same week we met."
