Lunch has become so enjoyable.

Unlike when she was still new to the island and to the academy, Adelene's rarely spent unnecessary alone time nowadays. Because Leon was always there when she needed him to be around, when she wanted him to be around, or even just on random occasions. She often hung out with Lochlann, too, and just like Leon, he was always there for her. Although today, she was with Leon. And she was enjoying their time even though they weren't really doing anything that required much energy. They were walking under some trees inside the campus, after finishing their lunch and deciding that the walk would help digest their food.

The walk helped clear Adelene's mind as well. She's been thinking all this time about Leon's question and she's been thinking about it seriously. She was, however, still conflicted, and the things that happened between her and Lochlann just a few days ago confused her more.

She tried not to show Leon anything though. They were talking about all kinds of things, laughing, just having fun. Adelene kept close, not wanting to give any space for awkwardness to form in the air.

"...Hey, hey, remember that first time we met? You made a sword out of my gun, right? I was thinking maybe we could do that again some time! Or, do you want to learn how to use a real gun? Because I want to learn how to use swords properly."

It was a random idea, a random topic for a conversation, though she really did mean it somehow.

Leon was having a great day. Had some great sparring in the morning, a great lunch with Adelene, and now a great afternoon walk with her. Leon had been full of energy lately after that night with Adelene during the rain storm. He had more reason now to better himself for what may come down the road towards him.

He was walking with Adelene talking about whatever came up, enjoying themselves like the world around them didn't exist. Leon had stopped being super nice to random girls, more along the lines of dates and things similar to that. He was still Nice Ole Leon, just not Leon the Date Magnet. He had someone in his heart at the moment, and would wait till an answer finally came before deciding where to go from there.

Leon had kept his arms behind his head as they walked. As much as he wanted to put his arm around Adelene's shoulder, he decided against it for now. She was close to him and it was good enough. When she brought up their first meeting Leon held out his hand away from Adelene as the sheath with the Revolver appeared. While Leon could make swords if he concentrated, once they were made their design was done. However he could redesign the sheath as he wanted. Compared to the solid black sheath it sported prior, it now was adorned with the crystal-like substance Adelene used her abilities with circling around a red sheath with designs resembling the swords he currently owned.

"You mean make a new sword? I mean learning to use guns might help me find new ways to use the gun aspect of this, but when I make a sword it has to have some meaning to it. For example Revolver is our friendship, Eruption can be seen as either my anger or the fiery passion in my heart about things, and Braver being my determination to do overcome anything in my way."

Leon picked up his pace a bit and stopped in front of Adelene while grinning, winking his right eye, and pointing his right thumb at his chest while his left holds the sheath covering Revolver. Well she couldn't find a better sword instructor besides maybe his father.

"Why I think you have a sword instructor right here. While I can teach you how to properly wield a sword, the thing you have to do is find a style that suits yourself. For example each sword I have comes with their own stances and styles. When I've been practicing with Revolver I've mostly been using a single handed stance that is hard to predict. Like this."

Leon looks around real quick and then quickly unsheathes Revolver, aiming it out into an empty space with his left hand behind him holding the sheath and his right arm held straight out, the blade pointing into the open. His shoulders relax and his body gains a slight slouch and he begins to sway slightly with his movement. His left eye closes slightly as his right gains a wide focus-like look to it.

"See? Like this I can take aim and watch for incoming strikes and be able to parry them from multiple angles with both the sheath and the blade itself. However like I said, it all depends on you and how you fight. I would show you more but I get kind of a battle high when I show off and that can get....Well I might cut something on accident."

Resheathing Revolver, Leon wills the sword away as he continues to look at Adelene proudly. He would love to teach her how to use a sword if she really wanted to learn. He would enjoy it, and might find someone who he can spar with as well. And with them both teaching each other it would turn into a fun time for both.

"So I think teaching each other is win-win for us both, no?"

Leon's face had gained a sort of warrior-like look to it while he was demonstrating that returned to his normal, gentle demeanor. With how Leon was most wouldn't expect him to gain such a look. Leon hated to admit it sometimes but he did enjoy fighting, long as it was a good reason anyway.

Lochlann was having a miserable day.

Stitches. He needed to get stitches. Right now, his hand was wrapped haphazardly in a mess of tape, cotton balls, and the torn up shreds of a hand-towel. He’d gone to pick up more medical tape, but they were out for some reason, which meant Lochlann was supposed to go to the hospital.

Fuck that.

For a second, Lochlann thought things were about to get better because he caught a glimpse of Addy.

“Hey, Addy,” Lochlann said, and then the smile that had started to cross his face faltered and the words died in his throat. She was with someone else. Lochlann knew Addy had other guy friends, and it hadn’t bothered him before, but there was something about the way the guy was standing next to her, and even though he wasn’t touching her, his posture told Lochlann that there was a whole level of intimacy between them that he didn’t know.

Both of his hands were tucked into the pockets of his hoodie, obscuring them completely from view, but there was other evidence that Lochlann had experienced a rough night.

“And……Leon, right?” Lochlann asked. He’d met him once before, at Addy’s birthday party. Lochlann wished he wasn’t so good at remembering names, he wished that he had something, some tangible reason, to hate the guy standing next to her.

But he didn’t. And it was Addy, so Lochlann was going to be pleasant even if it killed him.

The swords' names were adorable; Adelene didn't know prior to this moment that they actually had to have one. Leon sounded like a real expert in his field, and with that warrior look on his face as he drew Revolver, Adelene can't help but watch and admire him. He was a real knight figure to her, and seeing him with a sword made her image of that knight more dramatic.

"Revolver's become so beautiful, Leon! And you're right, it would be a real win-win situation."

She was about to draw out her own sword, a katana, but just before the black crystals formed around her hand, she'd heard Lochlann's voice call her name.

She dropped her hands, turning around to his direction. "Loch!" She waved and smiled at him, but her cheerful gesture quickly faded as her face turned red and her eyes went wide, as their dinner night flashed back before her.

They were so sweet that night and that only made things awkward and embarrassing. Because she had Leon and... it was going to be a mess if he finds out about her dinner night with Lochlann.

As the flashback ended, Adelene realized, there was something else about Lochlann that made her smile drop. Her brows wrinkled, her head tilted to a side, and her worried eyes tried to search for what was wrong with him. "Lochlann you don't look so good."

She figured she probably had to introduce Leon and Lochlann to each other again, even though she knew they already met. Adelene went to Leon's side and locked her left arm around his right, before dragging him closer. And then she let him go. "By the way... You guys have met, right?" She smiled at both of them, albeit it was a little forced and shy. She couldn't really entirely comfortable when the two sweetest people in her life, who also cause so much confusion in her, were both present. "Leon, this is Lochlann, and..." Her eyes turned to Lochlann, "I see you still remember Leon, Loch."

Leon felt proud and great hearing Adelene compliment the sword made for their friendship. While he normally doesn't change what his swords look like, Leon felt like he needed to change Revolver as their relationship grew. He had an idea of how to change it if Adelene said yes, but that was a thought for later.

Leon turned his head at the voice and turned around completely when he saw the guy walking forward. A hoodie in this weather? Well he was wearing his windbreaker so he couldn't really say much to it. Leon remembered him from Adelene's birthday party, but the name escaped him till Adelene reintroduced each other.

When Adelene grabbed his arm and dragged him closer he didn't know what to expect. She didn't have to drag him, but it felt nice so he didn't mind. He didn't want to make anything seem weird though, unknowing Adelene's relationship with Lochlaan to begin with. Hell he didn't want things to be weird for Adelene either.

"Nice to see you again Lochlaan. Gotta agree with Adelene, you feeling alright?"

Leon's tone and face told that he was genuinely concerned. A friend of Adelene's was a friend to Leon, so he would be worried if something was wrong with them. The way Adelene was acting, however, told Leon a few things. And he understood a few more things and was perfectly alright with it. So no matter what happened, Leon wasn't going to make things worse for himself, Adelene, or Lochlaan.

Lochlann pressed his hands further in his pocket.

He'd gone entirely stiff and took a step back when Addy and Leon got closer, putting just a little bit of distance between them. Not enough to make it obvious, but enough that there wasn't really an indication that he belonged.

"I'm fine," his voice was flat, and Lochlann winced after he said it. "Sorry. Long night. I'm fine."

He wasn't sure why his emotions were flaring like this, or why he even had emotions to start with. Lochlann started to pull his hand from his pocket to check for his flask, but realized he was pulling out the wrong hand, changed his mind, and then just stood there fidgeting.

This was awkward.

Why did it bother him so much to see Addy with Leon like this?

It's not like she was his.

That thought stung him and there was a momentary expression of pain on his face like he'd been slapped. He recovered by clearing his throat and said, "So uh....what are you two up today?"

Small talk until he could find a reason to escape.

"Um... We were just... walking around. Just finished having lunch."

Adelene bit her lower lip, in thought. She didn't believe that Lochlann was fine, and she knew Leon saw through him, too. His insistence made her worry even more, and she really wanted to help him out but... she was feeling awkward. Still awkward. As if there was something in the air surrounding Lochlann that made her feel like this was a wrong setting. The way Lochlann tensed up made that feeling stronger. The way he looked like he was in pain made it all worse as well.

And for some reason, she thought it was because of Leon. Yet she didn't know why or how. And it shouldn't really matter, if only the air wasn't suddenly so heavy. She'd want the two to be friends, if possible.

"What's wrong with your hands?" She noticed them when he tried to pull one out of his pocket, only to shove it back in. There wasn't anything in his hands to hide on normal days, so Adelene was pretty sure something was wrong. If not with his hands, with something else at least. "Loch, are you sick? I can always help, you know."

Unconsciously, she took another step forward. She wanted to take his hand and check on it, and help make Lochlann feel better if she can. She knew Lochlann didn't like others helping with health or injury related things, but she was confident he'd let her, at least.

She glanced back at Leon. She didn't know what he thought of this situation but... he seemed okay... He's okay with this, right?

Leon was genuinely concerned about what was wrong with Lochlaan. Despite of what he picked up, Leon played it off as if he hadn't noticed anything. He decided to keep things as normal and less awkward as possible for the three. His feelings for Adelene didn't matter at the moment, only making sure that Lochlaan was alright.

"Nothing to do but take a walk most days after lunch. Seriously man if something's wrong no need to hide it. Unless you just bought a magazine that you might feel weird about others seeing."

Leon's attempt to add humor to everything, but he was curious what was wrong nonetheless. Leon watched and listened as Adelene got more worried about Lochlaan. Leon almost wanted to yank the guy's hand out of his pocket, but that would just cause trouble. And Leon wasn't exactly like that most of the time. The hell did that thought come from?

"Just a stab in the dark here, but did you injure your hand? I've seen a few people I spar with get injured and just put a bag of ice on it and walk away without getting it checked out. I know some people dislike hospitals and would rather not go in unless life threatening. Seeing as you're standing here and looking fine I take it it's not like that. I got a first aid kit in my training bag in my locker if you don't have a problem with me taking a look at it. I'm no doctor but I know enough first aid to splinter and clean a wound. I've...Not always been good with my sword mind you.

Leon wanted to help out in whatever way he could, but he didn't want to push Lochlaan into doing something he didn't want to. He could tell Adelene wanted to help him as well. If anything, he hoped she could get more out of the guy so they could help him with whatever it was.

"Oh, yeah, walking," Lochlann said, grasping at straws. "It is a nice day for a walk, isn't it? That's what I was doing, too. Walking, I mean.'

When Adelene took a step forward and reached out for his hand, Lochlann took a hasty step back. Normally, he'd have given her his hand, but Lochlann could not wrestle with the feelings that were churning inside him like a pit of acid.

He was hurt, he realized. Not physically. But for some reason, seeing Addy with Leon hurt him and that wasn't fair to either of them. He hated that he felt like this.

"No," Lochlann said, both to Addy and Leon. "My hands are fine. They're just..."

He fumbled for an excuse, but the lie came easily enough. "Really dirty right now."

He wanted the focus off of him. He did not like this attention, not when he felt like this. Lochlann took another step back. He glanced sharply at Leon, his distrust growing infinitely at the mention of hospitals, doctor, and take a look all at the same sentence.

"So uh, walking," Lochlann said. "I'm walking to. Do you mind if I walk with you a little bit?"

He pulled his flask out with his left hand and took a sip as if to prove that nothing was wrong with his hands.

"So Leon you work with swords then?" he asked, trying desperately to escape.

Since that incident with the hospital, Adelene's become afraid of the hospital for Lochlann, too, just as he was for himself. She cringed at the words that felt so taboo to her now, looking up at Leon and shaking her head at him.

"It's okay, Leon."

She knew Lochlann well enough to know that they shouldn't push this.

"So they're dirty. Okay, but make sure you'll be okay, okay?" she added after turning to Lochlann, putting up a small fake smile.

She shouldn't be smiling though. The mere sight of Lochlann stepping away from her... it was heartbreaking. Her sad eyes reflected that.

She motioned with her hand that Lochlann should indeed join their walk, and she was more than willing to push the heavy aura away so he could be more comfortable around her and Leon. She started walking backwards, while looking at the two men and holding out her hands as if to pull them both closer and get them walking as well.

"So anyway, about swords." She did her best to stick to this topic. Even if something in her was gnawing on her gut to convince her to grab Lochlann's hand and treat it. "Loch, did you see that sword Leon showed just now? He designed that from a gun of mine, it's amazing."
