Argya looked at the clear waters of the lake before dipping one of her talons in it. Small rings former around her claw, distorting the previously perfect image of her that had been reflected on the lake. The wind messing up her silver fur, making it dance it the silent rhythm that only it knew how to play. It had been a long time since she had been in such a peaceful place, the usually rebellious bjartskular opened her wings and allowed the wind to run over them, closing her eyes as she allowed the breeze take her own mind with it.

She traveled to her old home, where her parents and the rest of her species surely still was, the hidden palace between the tall mountains that no human would ever climb, the powerful volcano where she broke the shell of her egg along with her brothers and sisters, the human city where she had been for the past couple of years. A small sound that could only be described as a mix between a reptile’s growl and a feline’s purr could be heard coming from the depths of her throat.

Slowly her thoughts were carried back to her, making her open her eyes and close her wings, folding them back on her back. Her tail curled up around her stuff, which was her trusty electric guitar and a small pile of essential stuff, like money and her cellphone. When she transformed she could transform her clothes with her, unluckily she couldn’t do the same to the objects that she was carrying with her, thing that could be a bit problematic…maybe she should start carrying those in a bag or something, just in case.

A small set of noises made her turn her head a bit, her eyes landing on an apparent human figure not far from her. She wasn’t completely sure though, wasn’t this place supposed to be only for gifted people and creatures like her?

He liked to go to the lake to sort out his thoughts, though first he counted the days to figure out that today his zodiac was the dog, the zodiac of immortality. It was perfect for his club though he was hoping he could take the day without everything he had worked for crumbling. He should have hired enforcers who could handle one night and if they couldn't, well then he would be there next day thriving in the chaos and making everything right.

Besides his nightly activities he was quite the normal teenager, well that was if you didn't knew about his past. The Tao was manifested as a human, gathered conscience in a body and grew up to be Tao and there where a world apart between the Tao and Tao. Tao was just more experienced in this world then the Tao that came from the other world. Urgh, was he Human, was he alive in that sense of the word.

He looked up to see where he was going, as if not to walk into others. He stopped in his tracks to rub his eyes not in disbelief that what he saw couldn't be but he rubbed them in disbelief that this world could have a dragon, he hadn't seen anyone in two years and beside this wasn't a dragon temple. "Hello there, I think I meet your cousin Qing Long the Azure Dragon in ancient China, he was five times my size though.".

Argya looked at the curious guy as he walked towards her, rubbing his eyes as he did so. She knew that seeing a bjartskular was something pretty uncommon and that he probably wasn’t expecting it, but she was still a bit surprised. With so many creatures in these island she would be expecting him to just greet her like if this was an everyday encounter. She couldn’t help but let out a small laugh when the boy referred to her as a dragon, well, this wasn’t a surprise, she knew how closely she resembled those creatures and it no longer made her feel offended to be mistaken by one, she now found it hilarious.

“I’m sorry, but I think I’ll need to pop your bubble. I’m not a dragon, I’m a bjartskular, a species that existed far before the very first dragon even hatched. But don’t worry, you are not the first one that mistakes up for one of them and I’m sure that you won’t be the last neither” Her voice was gentle, mostly thanks to the small laugh, without really wanting to he just had cheered her up. She lowered her head, moving a bit to be able to look at the young human a bit better. He looked interesting, obviously not like any human she had seen before. Maybe it was the clothing style, she wasn’t so sure about it though.

“Tell me, what’s your name? Mine’s Argya” She said, careful to not mention her surnames at all. She would be surprised if he knew about the royal surnames that she held, but she preferred to not take risks. The last thing she wanted to happen now was to be treated like a princess around here too. She just wanted to be an everyday student, just like the rest of the guys of the academy.

"Hello! We are of the Tao" He knew this wasn't proper way to introduce him in this world, but her appearance had brought him back to ancient China where he would introduce himself as such, though the translation from Chinese to English may have lost some of it's flair. "Wait, let me try that again" he whispered to himself as he caught himself saying it "My name is Tao Lungwei!".

"In my homelands of ancient Chinese, I once spoke to Qing Long the Azure Dragon, one of the four mythical beasts so when I saw and mistakenly thought of you as a dragon I was reminded of home. I am sorry for the mistake." Somehow he was compelled to explain, weather or not it sounded like bullshit. Normally he would treat everyone equal because that is how he sees everyone and with an open mind he would greet everyone normally, be it they are the president or the weirdest species of all.

Now that that was settled he smiled and looked like a normal teenager "So what are you doing here?" maybe she was there to get some fresh air and clear her thoughts like he was doing but he wanted to strike up a less awkward conversation.

We? Almost instinctively she looked around the place to see if there was anyone else that she had somehow missed, but apparently she didn’t, there were only this guy and her. Maybe there was a small detail about this guy that she missed? She would need to ask later why he said that, but that wasn’t the place nor the moment, she had barely met this guy after all, asking that kind of stuff would be a bit too rushed “Nice to meet you Tao” She said politely, bowing her head a bit,

She listened to his story. The ancient China, well, now that was actually fairly interesting, she had heard a lot of that place, but had never visited it before. The dragons of that place were known for their wisdom, even between bjartskulars, so she couldn’t help but wonder how it would be to actually talk to one of them. Now, this little guy had told her a lot of interesting stuff in a single sentence, she wished that she could return the info, but she was going to hold herself back from it for obvious reasons…but maybe just a bit of superficial info wouldn’t hurt…but later, just in case.

Argya looked at the lake once more as Tao asked his question “Well, I just came here to relax and…remember” Her answer was rather ambiguous, but it should be enough for now, right? “What about you, Tao? What brings you to this lonely place?” She unsheathed her claws and started to play with the small round pebbles under her paws a bit absentmindedly. Yet, from time to time she shoot a glance or two at Tao to let him know that she was indeed paying attention to him.

"I came to think about what makes a Human, Human." It was a simplification of his thoughts. Was he human, he was the Tao incarnate but his body was Human, right? He decided that he could be deep in thoughts another day as he took of him his boots and pulled up his pants, next he walked into the lake to face Argya.

"Come on, let's have some fun." when he had said that he would throw some water at her direction while displaying a smile showing that he was teasing her. This wasn't something he would normally do to a stranger however there was something with her that made him intrigued. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she closely resembled a dragon or maybe he simply wanted to know more about her species or her for that matter.

Hmmm…what made a human, human…that’s actually a very good question indeed. She had met a lot of humans before, but almost none of them was alike to the rest, not only physically, but also personality-wise. Most people would say that what made a human was its genetic code and its ancestors, but then, there were a lot of people on human history that were so darn brutal that obviously didn’t deserve the right of being even considered humans at all, just animals. Then again…what made a human, human? Then…it also could make her wonder…what made a bjartskular, bjartskular? This boy was a lot wiser than he allowed the world to know for the looks of it, making her, a creature that had lived over 1500 years, wonder about things that she had never thought about before.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by the boy’s voice as he walked inside the lake. She felt the cool water land on her fur…oh, so this is how you want to play? She pushed her things with her tail towards a nearby tree, so she could keep an eye on them but at the same time they would be safe from getting soaked if anything happened. She then got up and raised on her back paws, her front paws landing inside the water with the mixed strength of gravity and her own body weight, all the water produced by the splash going straight towards Tao. She knew that she could use her powers in her favor right now, but the cool-down of one hour after using them could be a bit annoying, so she would do it unless she decided that it would be really worth it.

He let the water weave take him, soaking him, it wouldn't be fair otherwise and as an extension of that, it would loose the fun if he had decided to fight the weave. He spit out whatever water had collected in his mouth when he stood up. He threw his now heavy soaked jacket to a yet dry spot on the ground before kicking the water with martial arts found in his world and timeline to make a similar weave Argya had thrown him.

Tao pulled back his now wet hair "So, where are you from?" he was curious, besides he had already told where he originated from though it wasn't a question out of pettiness. He would return weave for weave and brace himself to not be taken with the weave again.

Argya shook her fur a bit after the wave that Tao threw at her, chuckling a bit before jumping inside the water, using the fins on her tail to throw more water at Tao before answering his question, she had to be careful though, not give out too many hints “Well, I was born in the heart of the Brennasvell mountain, though I think that you humans mutated the name to Beerenberg Volcano though. Hm…what country was it it…Oh, yeah, Norway. Several members of my species live there, though we had to go into hiding after some…misunderstandings with humans during your Middle Ages. We can be found around the globe though, as several adventurous bjartskulars decided to leave their ancestor’s nest and see the world. I’m one of those”.

Ahhh…the old Brennasvell mountain, where many of her kin live hiding on the depths of the active volcano. She wondered how they would be dealing with the humans that were stubborn enough to stay even after the countless warnings given by the old volcano itself, letting them know that such place wasn’t the safest place for them to live.

She playfully kicked some water with her front paws towards the human, she knew that she didn’t the technique to create great waves like him, but she had the advantage of size here, and she was planning to use it for a bit.

"I need to get out of this water before i get a cold." He said that but wasn't quite sure if he could get colds, he wasn't born but rather the collective parts of the Tao materialized him or that is his best explanation. Not to mention he couldn't recall getting a cold. "Me, a Human? Thank you!" he didn't even think when saying that as the words just escaped his lips.

How would he explain that blunder, how could he say it in a good sensible way without sounding like he was spouting bullshit and without lying. He undressed till he was in his boxers, no he wasn't shy. With the soaked clothes he squished out as much water as he could. "I am not quite sure Human is the correct term though. Uhm, I wasn't born..." he started explaining waiting for a response, it would be easier to build an explanation from a response.
